"I'm not going back"

It's been a while since you and Jaehyun were actually talking and hanging out with each other.

"Jae. We need to talk." You say softly to the point it sounded as if your heart was slowly breaking.

"Not now y/n. I'm busy trying to figure out my schedule." Jaehyun says looking up from his fully booked schedule on his computer.

"Jaehyun I don't wanna go back to how this was weeks ago. I want to actually spend time with my boyfriend, but if you don't want to go back to what we used to be, then it's better off if we break this off." You say slowly choking on your words.

Jaehyun quickly shot up from his seat to hold you tight. "I'm sorry babe. I've been so busy trying to figure out this whole CEO thing. I don't mean to be a douche but maybe we should take a break. Not officially break up, but a break. How about that?" He says while tearing up because he can't seem to let you go just like that.

"Okay, let's take a break for two months, and if things work out. I'll gladly run back to your embrace." You say looking up at him and giving him a small peck before leaving his embrace.

Walking back to your shared bedroom with Jaehyun following behind was difficult. The hallways had pictures of you and Jaehyun ever since you both started dating from Junior year of high school until Jaehyun was given the title of becoming the next CEO of his family.

You both decided that Jaehyun would pack two months of his stuff out of the apartment while you stayed here.

It was by 10 pm jaehyun finished packing. He looked at you with sad eyes. And told you that he was going to miss you, but it was for the best. It was almost like a break up, but not quite. It was just a small break you told yourself and drifted off to sleep.

It's been two weeks since Jaehyun left. And it's been pretty difficult. You missed his cologne that he'd spray in the morning and give you a kiss on the forehead. You didn't know if things were going to be the same.

"I barely fell asleep late at night
The ringing sound wakes me up
But I turn around and close my eyes"

Jaehyun on the other hand was a complete mess. His alarm woke him up to a dark hotel bed without you by his side. He was filled with guilt because if he did not focus so much on his work, you'd be right next to him cheering him up to go to work and do his best. Yes, he wasn't being the best boyfriend to you for a while, but it was mainly because he was planning on proposing soon. He gained the title of becoming the next CEO of his family, and he was working really hard to buy the ring you always wanted. Jaehyun was disappointed that he proposed to take a break. But it felt nice to take a small break even though it hurt him a lot.

You woke up to an empty bedside as well. You missed jaehyun's small cuddles in the morning before he left. It was hard to grasp the fact you two were on a break, so you decided to dial up Doyoung who worked at a small coffee shop asking if he wanted to hang out.

Back to jaehyun, he was so tired because of work, so he decided to grab a cup of coffee with Mark, Ten, and Johnny at Doyoung's coffee shop.

"So you and Jae took a break?" Doyoung asked while handing you a cup of coffee. You looked down at your feet and slowly nodded your head yes. It broke your heart to actually tell someone other than yourself that you were on a break with Jaehyun.

"Hm okay I see. Hold on Y/N let me help these customers." Doyoung said leaving you alone sipping on the drink that was given to you.

To Doyoung's surprise it was Jaehyun, Mark, Ten and Johnny whom came through the doors. He was in total shock.

"H-how can I help you guys?" Doyoung said.
"Just the usuals Kim." Ten said.
"Okay, please have a seat and I'll bring them." Doyoung replied and quickly went to the kitchen to whip up their drinks.

"Yo Jae! Isn't that your girl? Why is she all by herself and crying?" Johnny said elbowing his friend who was on the right.

"Y/N? Yeah that's my girl. We're on a break right now." Jaehyun says whole his voice broke saying you were on a break.

It's only been two weeks and all you wanted to do was to crawl back into Jaehyun's arms, but you couldn't. At the coffee shop your mother informed you, through text,  that your father has set up an arranged marriage with someone named Moon Taeil. You began to cry because you were so in love with Jaehyun.

"Damn she looks horrible. I hope everything between you two gets resolved." Ten said while asking mark if he wants to try his green tea.

Then suddenly jaehyun got a text from Y/N which read that she was going to be married to Moon Taeil.

Jaehyun's eyes filled with tears and decided to walk towards Y/N.

Jaehyun has asked if she was kidding, but unfortunately she wasn't.

She told him, referring to Jaehyun, that she was deeply in love with him and that she was sorry.

They hugged once more, and that day was the last day Jaehyun ever saw his love leave before seeing her again, which was  standing at the alter with another man that wasn't him.
