Error's POV:

Finally, after that week out on the large sea, we've finally made it to the beautiful WWKingdom. Despite it only taking a week it felt much shorter than It actually was, with everyone around to laugh and distract me from the boredom it made it feel short. It was exactly 5:30 a.m. Cross expected us to arrive sometime around noon, but thanks to the water staying calm it allowed us a fast arrival. When we started hopping off the ship some of my crew were visibly nervous along with Geno, Blue, and Carrot. I was also quite nervous surprisingly, I've had past encounters with this kingdom and it's never been a good encounter. A couple of various monsters watched as we walked down the gangplank one by one, some seemed terrified and others seemed disgusted.

Β A group of guards walked up to us holding their weapons with a secure grip, they stood tall in an intimidating manner. "What is your business being in this kingdom, Error." The tallest guard asked as he stood in front of the others who barely compared to his height, his name was Edge. From the corner of my eye I could see Fell flinch from the voice, he slightly scooted behind Nightmare who perfectly blocked the view of him. "We wish to meet the king for an important reason, as you may know, you have no right to deny us that." Edge nodded his head understanding the rules, he moves back slightly letting us pass glaring at us like we were a bunch of criminals.

"That bastard was the one who abused Fell?" Cross snapped, I stopped and turn towards Cross and the others. Fell now standing in front of Nightmare with a worried expression, I watched as Edge kept an eye on Fell not sure whether or not it was actually him. "Just ignore it and continue walking if he thinks there's an issue he'll come over here." I quietly snapback quickly moving again, we walk into a large market area where various monsters and humans ran around collecting food along with other various materials.

I looked ahead at the huge castle where guards marched around the entrance, it was tall and built with strong brick to protect it from attacks and strong weather, each of the towers had a golden flag with a sun marking printed on it that danced around with the warm wind. I noticed as Nightmare seemed to become more annoyed the closer we got towards the brick castle, we had to meet with Dream about the money and Nightmare feels uncomfortable about anything involving his brother. He looked down at his feet as we approach the guards who marched around the entrance, one stopped and looked at us with a strong posture.

Β "What do you wish?" The guard said with an intimidating tone as he stood tall and strong. "We wish to see the king, we have a business to discuss with him." The guard nodded and slightly bowed towards Nightmare, despite Nightmare no longer being a king the guards surprisingly still respected him. We walked into the brick castle where a large golden throne sat, it had a large sun above it that seemed to be made from a shining jewel. Sitting on the throne was Dream, Nightmare instantly flinched and avoided eye contact once Dream looked at him. "What is it you need?" Dream asked as he shifted position on his throne trying to get a better view of his brother, I pull the paper from my coat pocket and hold it towards his direction. "It's about the reward for a living mermaid." Dream raising a 'brow' at me and commanded a guard to take the paper from me, the guard walked over and gave the paper to him.

Β "Ah, yes the mermaid. What about it?" He asked as he looked through the paper intently. "We will give you a living one for the cash prize." I respond trying my best to stand proud without looking intimidating, Dream seemed surprised by my comment. "You have a living mermaid?" He asked seeming quite surprised, but not at the same time. "Yes, and we wish to give you it for the prize." He looked around a bit then stared at Nightmare again making me slightly uncomfortable.

Β "I'll accept the deal, but you aren't allowed to leave until we properly test the creature to make sure it isn't useless." I nodded in response and we all bowed in respect before being escorted out by some guards who followed us to retrieve the creature. We walked down the clean dirt path leading into the crowded docks where many ships were stored, but out of all the ships Loyalty was the largest and most beautiful which made it easier for us to identify. We walked up the gangplank along with the guards and towards the creature who turned to us slightly flinching at the intimidating guards. "Could I have a minute to speak to him before you take him?" I ask the guards who nodded in response allowing me to speak, I walked up to the creature standing in front of him with poor posture. "You are seriously selling me?!" He aggressively whispered with a snap, I frown slightly and shift my posture rubbing my arm with a hand. "I guess I'm no longer the stupid one am I?" I whisper back turning to look at the guards who kept their intimidating posture a sad expression pasted on my face. "I usually wouldn't care for someone like you who I don't know well, but I do weirdly care for you... Though there is something I care about more than you. That thing is money and that is all you are to me, a pile of beautiful money..." I continued now shifting my posture to an intimidating one, though the creature didn't seem shocked from my comment he only smiled in response.Β

"Well, you said you cared about me and that's all I care about. I suppose I'll see you soon... Soulmate." I turned towards the guards and motioned them to go ahead and take him away, they marched over with their intimidating posture and easily lifted the whiskey barrel up. "Well, we need to return to Saule so I suppose we could buy a boat and leave." Carrot said as he looked over at Blue who seemed quite sad. "Do what you need to, but make sure it's alright for you to leave since you were originally with us." Carrot nodded and pulled Blue along with him to ask Dream about leaving. "I notice how you seem sad about selling the creature, is there something going on?" Cross asked as he stood next to me while gently setting a hand on my shoulder seeming worried, I looked over and watched as they carried the creature towards the brick castle, my soul, feeling oddly sick suddenly.Β

"I think there's something wrong with me."
