Poppy woke up with a tired smile, she had a free period in the morning so whilst Stella and the four first years were bustling around to get ready for school she walked around and laid on the sofa in a sports bra and shorts. 

"Oh, that outfit's so similar to yesterday's. Same designer?" Poppy barked out a laugh at what Musa said. Poppy wasn't quite sure how to feel about the mind fairy. On one hand she was really cool and nice but then she was kinda treating her sister like dirt (and not the nice dirt like soil).

Poppy propped herself up on her elbows and smirked from the sofa, calling out mockingly to Stella, "How's that walk of shame, frosty?" Musa smiled at that prod and sipped her coffee.

Stella ignored the brunette in her year and focused on the younger one and glared, "Do you know how I feel about that joke, or shall I tell you?" Musa squinted her eyes a little and Stella rounded on Poppy who was also sipping a coffee, "And you? Wearing a bra out in the open? I suppose decency isn't a thing with tree huggers?"

Poppy smiled in amusement and tapped her chin thinking, "Nah, I like skin on skin contact with trees, better connection. I'm sure you feel the same about certain things." Poppy winked as an angry blush covered Stella's cheeks. 

Sure Poppy still was still crushing on Sky, but she would never go after a guy who's taken. Also she had liked him for ages and it was clear now that he wasn't going to like her back, so she did what she usually does: pushed down her feelings and replaced them with playfulness covering up her emotional pain. 

"Where's Bloom?" Stella spoke again not looking at Poppy now.

Musa turned her head to the dorm which had shut doors, "Well, she had a rough night. Thanks to you."

Poppy snorted and muttered 'understatement' under her breath thinking about how freaked out Bloom had been when they had gotten back. Poppy did feel for the girl though, she had human parents and had never experienced anything like this. When they were younger, Sam and Poppy often snuck away to the first world to take part in all things human, like festivals and going to the movies so they knew all about the other world but to Bloom, this was all completely new.

"I didn't think those things were real, but we all saw. It was creepy as hell. It looked like it wanted to kill her." Musa carried on slightly analysing Stella. She could feel her annoyance and a small bit of worry, but what confused her was the smugness she was radiating every time she glanced at Poppy. 

Disregarding that Stella asked, "What about my ring?"

Bloom came out of her room in a black jumper and a ponytail that was hardly effective since all her hair remained in her face and looked down slightly, "That burned...burned thing took it."

"What?" Stella spat out not at all pleased that her ring was gone.

Musa rolled her eyes, sipping her drink, "Calm down, Princess."

"Yeah chill out, frosty. You see what I did there?" Poppy spoke as she got up off of the sofa and stood next to Bloom. In response to her pun she got an amused look from Musa but that was it, she shrugged and waved her hand, "Ah you loved it."

"Don't tell me to calm down, and don't use my title as an insult or call me that stupid nickname." Stella spoke condescendingly to the two who were unbothered by her tone.

"Are you actually a princess?" Bloom smiled but it was quickly wiped off her face when Stella didn't share the enthusiasm.

"Yes, I am, actually." Stella said facing Bloom who looked down, "My mum is the queen, and the ring you lost is one of the crown jewels of Solaria. That might not mean much to a First Worlder so feel free to ask your suite-mate how big of a screw-up that is." Stella ranted her voice raising.

"Almost as big as giving it to her in the first place." Aisha spoke as she walked out the bathroom in a robe, a towel in her hand with her hair in a bun. She walked closer to the group giving a disapproving glance to Stella. "Dowling has the creature locked up, which you would know if you were here last night when she gave us an earful."

"And if people knew there was a Burned One even in the First World temporarily, disaster." Musa finished looking at Bloom. 

"I didn't tell her that I lost the ring, and I'm sure if we do, then-" Poppy patted the gingers shoulder in support as the young girl stuttered slightly and shook her head. 

Stella quickly cut off the ginger, "We will do no such thing. I will figure it out after class, but for now, no one says anything to anyone." Stella walked through the small circle the girls seemed to have created and towards her door before turning around, And can someone make sure that Terra knows that? She can never keep her mouth shut." Stella swung her door open and was greeted by Terra finishing getting ready.

"Got it!" Terra smiled struggling to put on her top whilst raising a thumbs up. Stella sighed glancing around whilst Poppy strutted past her and grabbed her sisters hand dragging her out of the Ice queen's room.

Stella went into her room and they all heard the door slam. Poppy giggled at the looks on their faces and dropped her sisters hand and walked back to the sofa lying down.

Terra quickly approached her sister and gave her a disapproving glance, "Why are you not dressed? You're walking around half naked." 

Poppy shrugged weirdly whilst lying down and looked up at her sister, "Because my sweet primrose, I have a free period and I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet," Poppy replied before glancing down at herself, "and I'm not naked, these shorts go at least half-way down my thigh and its a sports bra, not lingerie." Poppy sniggered at her sister who went a but red in the face.

Poppy wasn't ashamed of her body and she knew that rooming with these girls for the next year they would have to get used to each other eventually and she often went on jogs because then she didn't feel bad about getting tired walking up the stairs or eating like three donuts in one sitting.

In another part of the school, the specialists were already training and Riven and Sky were watching over two first years fight, Riven called out teasingly, "Sweep the leg!"

The female first year did just that and took down the boy quickly and forced him to tap out.

"Could you try being 50% less of a dick?" Sky spoke squinting at the sun as the first years got up.

"Well, I'd be 50% less fun." Riven spoke cockily tapping the matt with his hands.

Sky smiled slightly at that, "Remember what a lost cause you were last year? Two black eyes and a sprained ankle, day one." 

"What do you want, a handy for taking me under your wing? I thought my friendship was reward enough." Riven said mockingly at Sky who just shook his head.

"It is."

"Look over there," Riven pointed down the stone path where they saw Poppy jogging at a reasonable pace. She was wearing a black sports bra and matching black, high waisted running leggings which meant you could see a small part of her stomach along with trainers that had green stripes down the side. Her hair was tied back into a long ponytail and was swishing slightly as she ran. Riven spoke again his eyes not leaving her slightly sweaty body as she became clearer, "She's banging, if you don't get that I will."

Sky couldn't tear his eyes away no matter how wrong it was and tapped Riven's cheek back to the matt where the two first years were finished sparing before he jogged off, "No you won't."

Sky quickly ran to where she was and jogged along side her. Poppy glanced to the side and now regretted not getting back into bed. She wanted to move on and get rid of the crush which was going no where but that wasn't going to happen if he spent time around her. She ran a little faster causing him to look in confusion at why she had suddenly sped up but chased after her and started running after her. She looked to the side agitated when he couldn't take a hint and after a few seconds she started sprinting which he quickly mirrored. 

After sprinting for a few seconds Sky caught up to girl who was pushing herself further and grabbed her arm to make her stop, of course he didn't think about the momentum either of them had so with his grip on her arm she ended up swinging into his body and they fell to the ground with a 'humph'.

Poppy realised she hadn't hit concrete and looked up and saw she was pressed right against Sky, he looked at her too and their eyes caught. They both blushed awkwardly and Poppy rolled off to the side, falling back on the concrete still panting heavily since she hadn't intended the need to sprint.

"What was that?" Poppy asked glancing at the boy who seemed a little lost for words. Neither of them seemed to get off of their backs from lying in the middle of the path however. 

"I don't know I was running with you." Sky lied lamely.

Poppy shook her head and corrected, "Chasing."

Sky sighed and listened as both of their breathing calmed down. Poppy glanced around and saw Riven watching them both lying on the ground and she pushed herself up and started walking away.

Sky opened his eyes in confusion when he couldn't hear her breathing and looked around only to notice her walking away from him. He frowned and brushed off his legs before jogging and catching up.

"Why are you running away?" Sky asked but she didn't stop walking.

"I'm not running, Prince Charming, I'm walking." Poppy replied smartly, not looking at him until he grabbed her hand and turned her around so they both stood still in the path.

Sky frowned at how she was seemingly now unbothered by his presence, she wasn't smiling her usual grin when she looked at him now and he noticed how she hadn't looked in his eyes, "Are you avoiding me."

Poppy nodded, "Yes."

Sky's frown deepened at how she didn't even try to deny it, "Why?"

"Because I don't think your girlfriend would like you talking to another girl, especially after what happened with the last one," Sky tried to interject but she continued, "and besides, we weren't friends before and we aren't now. It should make no difference to you." 

Sky didn't know why that last comment hurt so much, yes they had never properly spoken until this year but did that mean they weren't friends? He was too caught up in this to noice the emphasis she put on 'you', meaning it would bother her. Still it shouldn't bother him that she's avoiding him but for some reason he did and couldn't understand why, they were like magnets either repelling or attracting and he couldn't figure out which one they were.

Sky so focused on the girl in-front of him didn't notice his girlfriend approaching until it was too late. Stella spoke glaring at their intertwined hands, they hadn't noticed that Sky had forgotten to let go of her hand, "Am I interrupting?"

Poppy followed her eyesight and quickly yanked her hand back and adjusted her ponytail like it never happened whilst Sky frowned at the girl seeing at how unbothered she seemed, "Nothing to worry about, frosty, your boyfriend was helping me sprint."

Stella grabbed onto Sky possessively which didn't go unnoticed by Poppy who rolled her eyes subtly and scoffed under her breath, "Yeah, my boyfriend, so kind right?" 

"Absolutely," Poppy nodded pretending the tension Stella was radiating didn't exist, "Speaking of kindness, gotta go find Oli, we get separation anxiety." Poppy said the first excuse that came to mind and continued on her path picking up speed again not caring that she wasn't leisurely jogging but full on running away.
