NINA AHN stood outside of her apartment as Yan Ximen stood in front of her with a big smile, she giggled a little as Ximen pulled her into a hug.

"You sure you'll be okay?" He asked as Nina pulls away from him slightly.

"Oh don't worry about me, Xixi, I'll totally be fine" he smiles and leans down to kiss her forehead. Nina pulls him back into a big hug again and sighs in relief. They stay there for a couple minutes before, Meizuo caught their attention by knocking on the window of Ximen's car from the inside. Ximen pulled away and rubbed her back as Nina stuck her tongue out at Meizuo before entering the lobby of her apartment. She gave a smile greeting to the person at the front desk as she headed for the elevators. As the elevator went up, Nina fished through her bag to find her keys. The elevator stopped at her floor just before she could pull her keys out of her bag.

Once she got into her apartment, a wave of heat came into her body. She furrowed her eyebrows as she looked over at the AC control, the temperature was set to the hottest it could go. Nina quickly cooled down the AC and rushed to opens some windows. She sighed as she ran her fingers through her hair.

"UNNIE?!" She called out desperately as she fan herself with her hand, she sister came rushing down the steps with her hair all wet.

"What?! Oh! You're home!" It looked like she went swimming with her clothes on, Nina wore a pissed expression as she stared at her sister.

"Are you trying to burn down my apartment?! Do you know how hard I worked for this??" Nina asked as her sister raised her eyebrows.

"I thought mom and dad bought this apartment?" Bella stared at her precious little sister's face as Nina changed her expression to a hostile one.

"NO!" Nina yelled but pressed her lips together trying to calm herself down.

"O-oh I'm sorry princess, I didn't mean to make you pissed at me. I was a little confused on how to work the AC and well I tried to set to a warm setting but it didn't exactly work." Bella pulled a sad expression at her sister and Nina let out a huge sigh. She let her bag down and slipped off her jacket placing it on her chair, she rolled up her sleeves.

"Okay fine, I'm not that pissed but I do have some questions for you unnie" Bella nodded as she sat down beside her sister.

"Go ahead, you know I'll tell you anything" Bella smiled cautiously as Nina looked over at her sister.

"Why exactly did mom and dad kick you out?" She asked as Bella looked away from her little sister.

"Well...I'm not taking over the company like I planned..." Those words struck millions of chords in Nina's body as she stared at her sister in disbelief.

"W-why? I thought you were super excited about taking the position after dad, w-what happened?" She stuttered a little as Bella sighs looking straight at her distraught sister.

"It's um, not what I want to do anymore Nini" she answered simply as Nina fought back a raging feeling she felt in her entire body.

"But, y-you do know what this means unnie...how could you do this to me?!" Nina raised her voice a little as Bella flinched. Bella didn't exactly know what her little sister meant, she thought that Nina could be happy about her leaving to do something she actually wanted to do.

"What does it mean?" Bella asked casually as a tear slipped down Nina's face.

"It meansβ€”" Nina started but more tears fell down her face as Bella scrambled for something to wipe them away with. Bella handed her a box of tissues as Nina sniffled.

"It m-means, I'm going to be forced to take over the company unnie, you know that's not what I want!" Her voice cracked as it was Bella's turn to look over at her in disbelief.

"Why don't you? I mean can't you just let me have this one thing?" Bella tried to convince her but Nina sniffled once again.

"What exactly d-do you mean?! You know I'm super close to getting my dream right? I've already been searching around for building leases for my restaurant okay unnie... I'm so close....b-but you want me to give up something that I have longed for and worked really hard forΒ  just so you could I don't know, travel the world without any plans?! I'm not doing it unnie, alright" Nina stood up from her seat as she grabbed the jacket and her bag.

"I thought you'd be happy to know that I didn't want to have dad's position..." Bella said quietly as Nina had her back faced towards her sister.

"Well I'm not." Nina said bluntly as she didn't even spare a look at her sister, her heart burned as she walked up to her room and slammed the door. As soon as her back reached her soft mattress, she calmed down a little. She thought about all the things that she had said to her sister and instantly felt a little guilty, she wasn't sure if she was just being selfish about her own dreams. Though, she's wanted it for so long and she felt all the weights being lifted off her shoulder. Then her sister comes along and crushes her with an even bigger weight, she knew that her life just got so much harder.

Β  Β Β  The next day, Nina sat down behind the bridge table as she stared at the boys. They were about to have a match with Qinghe and Shancai, Ximen was day beside her as he saw the expression on her face. Nina had told Ximen what had happened and that she has been ignoring her sister ever since. She told all the boys as the day progressed and they couldn't help but feel sympathy to their friend. They tried their best to cheer her up, but nothing worked. Nina seemed to distracted with her problems as she didn't even notice that Ximen had left her side.

Qinghe and Shancai walked down the stairs as they looked at the three boys and Nina, Si was sitting at the table ready with Meizuo beside him. Ximen stood at the bottom of the staircase, glancing at Nina a few times before looking at the pair.

"Welcome to the poker room, I'm the referee today. Come in." Ximen said as he held out his arm to the table that Si was sitting at. Shancai and Qinghe walked over to the table that Si was at as they looked at him with confidence.

"What an extraordinary match" Si had his hands on the table as he smirked at them.

"To be honest, I'm feeling a little nervous right now." Meizuo spoke up as he also smirked at the both of them.

"Give us all you got, F4! I, Chen Qinghe and Shancai, will do whatever it takes. If you guys lose today, you'll be at my mercy. You'll carry my bag for the day" Qinghe said confidently, as Nina lifted up her head to glance between Qinghe and Shancai. She pressed her lips together and bite her lip as both Meizuo and Si let out a small scoff.

"Just one day? Make it ten years. You won't win anyways" Si said as he kept his eyes on the boy.

"You...don't underestimate us" Qinghe said as Si's gaze fell onto Shancai.

"What if I win? What do you want? You two will do whatever I want" Si said as Shancai was about to say something but got cut off by Qinghe quickly agreeing with him.

"Take a seat, we'll begin the match" Ximen said as Si crosses his arms over his chest, both Shancai and Qinghe pushed each other as they wanted the other to sit down first.

"You two might as well just admit defeat." Si taunted as Nina stood up from her spot and went to go stand beside Ximen, he immediately wrapped his arm around her waist as Nina looked up at him.

"Well never do that" Qinghe said as he caught Nina's attention.

"No need to waste time with them, taking advantage of people who don't know how to play bridge and winning should not be something you should brag about." Shancai saidΒ  confidently as Nina stared at the back of her head with a sad smile, she was right. Some of the boys' opponents were at a disadvantage because of their amazing skills.

"Fine, if you don't know how to play bridge. You can set the rules. I'll decide what you wager, is that fair?" Si asked as Nina stared at Si warily, she knew that he had some sort of plan going around in his head.

"They're setting the rules?" Ximen spoke up as Nina looked up at him, for some ( obvious ) reason, Nina felt a slight relief spread throughout her body as she looked up at him.

"I'm never unfair to people" Si said as he leaned to see both Ximen and Nina, Ximen smirked as Si said those words.

"You mean, we're not playing bridge?" Shancai asked as Meizuo spoke up.

"We could play five card stud" Shancai raised her eyebrows as she looked towards him.

"What stud?"

"What can you play?" Meizuo asked as he let out a little scoff.

"We'll compare hands" Qinghe suggested and Meizuo furrowed his eyebrows a little.

"What? Compare hands?" Meizuo asked him confused.

"We'll pick a card and compare to see who wins." Qinghe explained to him.

"Do you think this is kindergarten?" Ximen said as Nina pressed her lips together, tugging the end of Ximen's sweater.

"You said we could set the rules" Qinghe reminded them as Meizuo glanced over to Si, who glanced over to Shancai and Qinghe.

"Alright, we'll compare hands." Si picked up the cards and started to shuffle them in his special way, Shancai was now sat in front of Si with Qinghe standing beside him. Nina stood beside Si with Ximen as she flashed Shancai a good luck smile.

"Regardless of what game, F4 has never lost before." Si says as he looks at Shancai.

"One round. Go." Shancai glanced up at Qinghe who gave her a smile nod and she looked back down at the deck.

"Pick a card" Nina said as Shancai looked over at her, she let out a small smile and nodded at her. Shancai scanned the deck before hesitating to pick a card. Nina watched her movement with her arms crossed, she wants Shancai to win so badly but she had huge doubts towards her friend. Shancai slid two cards in front of her as she looks between them, she knew that she only had one chance to win.

"Hey" Si said as he hit the table making Shancai jump, the cards fell out of her hands. The right one flipped over revealing the Ace of hearts while the other was still hidden. Qinghe congratulated Shancai with a two hand high five as she turned back to Si.

"How about that? We win unless you get the ace of spades, which is impossible. Your turn." Qinghe explained as Nina wore a smile on her face as Shancai glanced up at her before her eyes settled on Si's teasingly. Meizuo leaned forward and kept his eyes on Shancai as he slid a card towards himself and Si, Nina bite her lip as she watched her best friend do so. He flipped it towards the two and it showed an Ace of spades, the exact card that they needed to win.

"How is that possible?" Shancai asked as Qinghe held out his hand.

"Wait, you shuffled the cards. What if you are cheating?" Qinghe messed up the cards in some sort of desperation. He sneakily slipped the Ace of spades in his back pocket and pushed the deck towards Si. He reshuffles the cards and looked towards Qinghe. He held up cards as Meizuo spoke them out. Nina smiled softly at him, she always found it cool when he did that.

"Wait, you don't have the Ace of spades. You lose." Qinghe said confidently as Meizuo stared at him.

"That's because it's in your pocket" Meizuo said standing up straight with his hands on his hips. Shancai looked up at him distressed as Qinghe guiltly removed the Ace of spades from his back pocket. Meizuo glanced towards Nina with a smirk and she sighed. The boys knew that Nina has a sharp eye and could see through anyone, Meizuo was glancing at Nina as Qinghe was messing up the deck and he could tell what he did from just her expression alone.

"Why is it in my pocket? Who put it in there?" He asked as he threw the card back into the table. Shancai rolled her eyes as she looked towards Si.

"Do you think the champion team of the World Bridge Competition would lose to you? Meizuo has impeccable eyes as does Nina, their both tied second to none. No matter what we play, you'll lose for sure. So? Another round?" Ximen explained as he stepped forward, Nina stood in her place as she crossed her arms. She was feeling somewhat conflicted against what was happening. Shancai stood up and banged her hands against the table.

"We lost, what do you want?" Shancai admitted as Ximen glanced over to Meizuo who wore a confident smile on his face.

"This is between Ah Si and you, we'll back out of this" Ximen said as he stepped back to stand beside Nina once again.

"What do you mean it's between them?" Ximen and Meizuo walked over to Qinghe as they grabbed each of his arms. Nina smiled at Shancai warily as she followed the boys. They walked out with him as Nina followed them quickly, Qinghe shouted to Si not to hurt Shancai. Later, Nina found out that Si only wanted Shancai to treat him to dinner from Shancai herself and Nina felt relieved that he didn't get her to do some embarrassing. She was grateful for that.

well this chapter was super intense like wow, first the drama with Nina and Bella and then the bridge match in one chapter. I feel like this is the most intense chapter that I have written so far.
so what do you think??
should Nina give up her dreams of having her own restaurant because her sister doesn't want to work at their family's company anymore?
is Bella or Nina being selfish?
