Two weeks after the whole thing at the dance, seeing Devi and Paxton together publicly made her more angry than anything.

She realized there's nothing she can do about Paxton's stupidity and Devi's immaturity, so she let them be. For now, at least.

Her and Ethan walked into school hand in hand, seeing everyone stare at them in awe. The two really did compliment each other.

Trent gave Lily a high five as she walked past him, she let out a slight chuckle at the gesture.

The stood by her locker, with Gigi and Aneesa, all talking about making plans together.

They got interrupted by seeing Devi and Paxton walk in, hand in hand, everyone gave them looks of shock, or disappointment.

Lily saw Trent giving Paxton a disapproving look as Devi went into the bathroom.

"I'm seeing right, right?" Lily asked in sarcasm seeing the scene in front of her.

"Yeah, bitch boy and coyote girl are together." Gigi laughed as she looked at her pocket mirror applying lipgloss.

"C'mon, let's get to study period." Ethan chuckled as he slung his arm around Lily as they walked.

"Don't worry about him, I mean, don't waste your time on people like that, Lily." Ethan said in her ear as they walked.

"Thank you, E." She smiled giving him a peck on the cheek, as he carried her backpack on his arm.

Lily and Ethan immediately saw Trent and went up to him, hanging out during study period.

"What are you doing?" Lily asked in curiosity as he was texting rapidly.

"Texting my babe, you know." Trent said as Eleanor looked up as Trent tried to do a trick with his water bottle.

He failed terribly.

"Oh shit!"

As the bell rang, Ethan part ways and left the building, as Trent and Lily stood by Trent's locker, when Paxton came up to them.

"Hey." Paxton looked down as he came towards them.

"Oh. Hey." Trent said blandly.

"So, I haven't seen you much recently and i-" He paused, "Wait, why are there so many photos of Adele in your locker?"

"Because she's an icon with the voice of an angel, bro." Trent started, "You have a problem with that?"

"No, no, I love Adele, she's cool." Paxton stated.

Lily watched the scene with a bored expression.

"So what do you want?" Trent asked in frustration by Paxton.

"Are you like pissed at me because I'm with Devi?" He asked Trent as Lily let out a loud chuckle as he turned towards her.

"What? It's funnier than anything else." She laughed as he gave her a harsh glare.

"It's not anger man, it's fear." Trent said. "I've seen this girl burn you once, it's like Adele song 'cold shoulder', "Time and time again, you're gonna play the fool."

"I don't know that song."

"Yeah, well, you freaking should." Trent said loudly, "I just worry about you man, I know behind those sculpted abs is a tender heart."

"My heart's not behind my abs."

"He's right, cause clearly he doesn't have a heart, does he?" Lily smiled sarcastically looking at him.

"Oh, sure it is. You're just afraid to see it." Trent said quickly.

"Listen man, I appreciate that you're looking out for me alright? But I really do trust Devi this time."

"Just like I trusted you, right?" Lily asked.

"Lily, seriously, could you just go away?" Paxton asked hearing her statement, knowing she was right.

"Sure, I'll do just that, just don't come fucking crying to me when she breaks whatever heart you have left." She stated calmly as she walked away.

"C'mon, Lily." Gigi begged Lily, as she was trying to convince her to join her at the mall, which she invited Ethan.

"Okay fine!" Lily started, "As long as we can go to the beach afterwards?" Lily raised an eyebrow.

"Definitely, let's go pick up Ethan and Aneesa!" Gigi laughed in excitement.

They picked up the two, Lily and Gigi in the front, Aneesa and Ethan in the back.

"So, what are we doing at the mall?" Ethan asked leaning back in his seat.

"Is thag even a question?" Lily laughed, "Shopping, food court and maybe even the arcade."

"You've sparked my interest," Ethan started before Aneesa interrupted.

"Believe me, we know she sparked your interest." Aneesa laughed as Gigi held back a chuckle.

"Funny." Lily smiled sarcastically.

"You guys like the arcade?" He asked in curiosity.

"Who doesn't?" Gigi asked.

When they got to the mall, they went shopping, in and out of almost every store, when they saw someone.

"Is that Paxton?" Aneesa asked looking behind Lily.

"Don't play with me right now." Lily sighed in frustration.

"That's him!" Gigi stated in shock.

"Well, shit." Lily stated turning around, Paxton's eyes meeting hers.

"Fuck, no." Lily laughed and turned back around.
