darrian had showed up to avannas home like he said he would, he explained everything that had happened to her and asked if he could stay there for a little, making sure he wouldn't fall asleep again.

the two were now sitting on her bed, just like her and daniel had did only the movie they had almost finished was paused and avanna was sitting quiet on her phone. ddot could tell something was off, as she wasn't trying to make conversation with him like usual.

"you good?" he turned, asking her.

she turned her head as well, their eyes locking before she nodded. "yeah."

she didn't know if she should tell ddot about her and daniels breakup, she didn't know if daniel was being serious or if it was just an in the moment thing. she felt his eyes linger on her for a little while before he finally turned his head back to his phone and she let out a small, quiet breath.

"me and dani broke up." she informed in.

darrians head lifted again, feeling his heartbeat increase. he was happy to hear the news, but knew avanna was upset about it and didn't show his happiness. "you for real, why?"

avanna sighed, "he was here, before you came. he saw i was texting you and got mad, he told me to be with you instead and just left."

a part of him felt guilty, but a small smirk came to his face at the words 'be with you instead.' "i told you, ion know why you were with that motherfucker."

she chuckled, shaking her head. he looked over at her, hitting the inside of his mouth. "i know you're upset, though. i'm sorry, for real."

she lightly smiled, "are you really?" she asked sarcastically.

"dead ass." he rolled his eyes.

the night before, darrian had left avanna house like he promised. the two were back around each other, not exactly hanging out, along with ethan, david, eva, and valentina. they were also surrounded by some of the guys from oy, but they were always around.

darrian had told his friends about what daniel had said to avanna, so the two made sure to ask if she was alright. avanna didn't know that ddot had told them, she thought daniel had or the word just got around, but she wasn't worried about it.

she watched ddot talk to jayklickin a little ways away from her, before their shirt conversation ended and the older boy walked over to her. "wassup, anna?"

avanna and jay hasn't talked in awhile, so she was happy to see him. "hi, jay." she smiled.

"how you been, kid?" he asked, chuckling.

darrian was now the one watching them. unbeknownst to avanna, him and jayklickin had just been talking about her, and darrian was praying he wouldn't say anything about it.

"i've been okay, how are you?" she asked him, looking up.

"i've been good, ya know." he shrugged, while she nodded her head.

the two talked for a minute, before he said a small goodbye and made his way over to his older brother, jstar.

as he walked away from her, valentina walked over and wrapped her arm around her shoulder, slumping over. "it's mad cold." she complained to avanna, while anna nodded in agreement.

both of the girls eyes landed on darrian, someone who avannas hardly looked away from since she arrived outside. valentina narrowed her eyes as she watched him look over, his eyes obviously meeting with avannas. she didn't know ddot much, she'd only been around him a couple times, but she could always tell that he kept his eyes on her friend. "you two would be cute."

anna turned her head slightly, "who?"

"you and ddot." val nodded.

anna turned her head back to darrian, seeing he had looked away now. "no, he doesn't like me."

"he doesn't act like he doesn't like you." valentina laughed.

anna bit the inside of her lip, "he's been nicer lately, i guess."

valentina smirked, "you didn't say you didn't like him?"

avanna shook her head quickly, "me and dani just broke up."

"oh, yeah." valentina rolled her eyes, groaning. she never liked daniel, the two had went to school together in middle school and she hated how big his ego was. that's how avanna and daniel met, valentina.

"bro, why are we outside? it's mad cold." notti complained, hugging himself.

"what i said." valentina pointed to him.

"where we gon go, dick?" dd asked him.

nottis head slowly turned to avanna, a smile on his face. avanna rolled her eyes, "my moms gonna be home soon, notti."

"ya moms loves me." notti mugged her, but avanna was still hesitant on letting all of them go to her house without permission.

"we'll leave before she gets home, my heart." david spoke, backing his brother up.

avanna sighed, "okay."

the group jumped up, both david and ethan having a smile on their faces. darrian walked over to them, "where y'all goin?"

"we out to anna's, it's mad brick out here." notti told him, as ddot nodded his head and walked behind them.

arriving to her house, they all made themselfs comfortable around her living room. david had turned on her living room television, playing his music very loudly while he, ddot and notti all sung and passed around a blunt.

avanna had pulled out her phone to record the three, but quickly paused when notti had accidentally pushed darrian into the small table by the tv, causing the big vase of flowers to fall over and break.

darrian and nottis mouth fell open, quickly turning to avanna. david laughed, smacking his stomach. "nah, im just happy it wasn't me this time."

darrian pointed to notti, "that was him, bro!"

"what bro? you ran into it!" notti argued.

"you pushed me, pussy!" darrian furrowed his eyebrows.

avanna let out a sigh, standing to her feet to walk over to the vase and start picking it up. ddot had pushed notti back, leaning down to help avanna but turned again when he heard something else break.

avanna turning her head, he saw david holding onto nottis arm like he tried to catch him, while notti was trying to catch his balance, a picture frame on the floor. "ddot!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms down.

dd laughed at her sudden outburst, not used to her yelling. "this shit is crazy."

"that was him, my heart." notti shook his head.

darrians lips formed into a line, whipping his head around to avanna. she mugged the boy, while he threw him hands up in surrender. "it wasn't all me, just sayin."

she rolled her eyes, nudging him with her shoulder, causing him to fall, sitting on his ass instead of crouching.
