"Will you come back to visit?"

"Absolutely not."

Kilian stood with Anya outside the Orphanage after the other children had said their goodbyes, Serafina and Elena by the car seemingly teasing a fussy Zain about something while y/n shouted at them to stfu.

Anya pouted, holding onto her chimera plush a little tighter, "So... then... we'll never see one another again."

Kilian turned his gaze away, "Guess not."

Silence filled the air between the two of them as Kilian refuses to speak, and Anya remained silent.

They'd been through so much together!

Kilian used to make up games for her to play shortly after his arrival when they were being experimented on.

He agreed to escape with her, and used the abilities he hated so much to help keep them safe and hidden.

The boy even purposefully got himself kicked out of foster homes so he could stay with Anya whenever he realized she'd been sent back to the Orphanage.

'And now he's leaving me...'

"H...Hey, Anya."

The girl blinked in surprise, meeting Kilian's gaze and finding that the boy was offering something to her.

A bag of peanuts.

"Woahhh! Peanuts!!!" Anya breathed before accepting the small gift, "But when did you...?"

"Heh, the truck dropped some." Kilian replied simply before leaning closer and whispering, "I have some more hidden around the Orphanage."

"Really?" Anya exclaimed.

"Mhm, and I prepared some puzzles in advance to make it extra interesting!" Kilian declared with pride.

Anya did not look impressed, "You did it to make it super hard for Anya, didn't you Ian?"

"They're super top secret puzzles for spies."

"So exciting!"

"You're way too easy to satisfy." Kilian heaved a sigh before reaching out and patting her head, "We're gonna see each other again soon, so don't be sad. I may not be able to see the future or anything like that, but I'm certain that we'll meet again!"

"How can you be so sure?" Anya demanded.

"You've stuck to me this long, who says this will change that?" Kilian scoffed as though annoyed, but Anya could hear his thoughts. His fuzzy, sad, worried little thoughts.

"Hmph! Well then I'll see you!" the little girl declared then held out her fist to him, "You'd better get into that school you wanted to go to!"

"What? Eden???"

"Yeah! And Anya will meet you there!"

"Now that's a little far fetchedโ€”โ€”" Kilian began but stopped when he saw the determined look in Anya's eyes, "Err... alright. If that's what you want, then work hard to achieve that goal!"

"Yes! I'll work really hard, so you work hard too!"

Kilian gave Anya a thumbs up, awkwardly linked his pinky with hers, and mumbled, "Just to... seal the deal, I suppose..."

Anya grinned, "Haha! Alright! Pinky promise!"

'Anya's like a magnet, so I've got nothing to worry about.' Kilian thought before rubbing the back of his neck with a free hand, 'Even knowing that... I'm still a bit nervous-'

The boy's thoughts came to a screeching halt when he saw the dazzled look on Anya's face.

She was listening to him, wasn't she?

"You're worried about me...?"

"No." 'Yes.'

"Kilian's thoughts are bad at lying."

This was very true.

After saying his goodbyes to Anya, and scolding her about reading his mind without permission, Kilian wandered to the car where y/n was waiting.

He wasn't nervous about all the people in the car, since he recognized Serafina, Zain and y/n, but the blonde lady with the scary vibes who was driving made him a little nervous.

Kilian sat between y/n and Zain, listening quietly as Serafina rambled about a few business related things which y/n needed to attend to.

The boy knew what that meant, he'd likely have to entertain himself for the day, but was pleasantly surprised when y/n shook her head.

"No, let Corinne handle it."

"You do realize that she may..."

"She might kill them, yes, but the deal is a good one. Should they decide to be greedy, Corinne will put them in their place." y/n said dismissively before smiling at Kilian, "You still like strawberry cake, right? How about we go shopping, go out to eat, and get some cake on the way home?"

Kilian nodded eagerly, "Yes, I'd love that!"

The young woman chuckled to herself, 'How cute.'

"But, Auntie? I'd prefer it if it was your cooking that I was eating. Not someone else's." Kilian added, "I haven't had goulash in a while! Not since you and Dad took me to Hugaria!"

"Goulash, huh?" y/n murmured before beaming with excitement and nodding, "Of course! We'll head straight for the grocery store then! Elena!"

"Already on it!" the woman chirped and Kilian yelped when the car suddenly swerved and picked up speed.

"Hey, hey, slow down! There's a kid in the car!" Serafina snapped and Elena gave her a sheepish smile.

"Haha, my bad, I was just a little excited..."

Kilian stared at Elena for a long moment before lowering his voice and whispering, "Auntie? Who exactly is the blonde lady?"

"That's Elena." y/n replied in a hushed voice, "She's going to be your Nanny for when I'm busy with work, and when your Uncle Yuri is away for work."

"Uncle Yuri?" Kilian echoed cluelessly.

Y/n smiled, "My husband."

Her... her huโ€” HER WHAT?!

Kilian vaguely remembered y/n being in a relationship before, but had they actually gotten married? Based off of what Kilian heard, the guy was just as head over heels for her as she was for him. A perfect pair, according to Kilian's late father.

BUT SHE WAS MARRIED TO HIM NOW?!

"Does he know?" Kilian questioned and y/n looked away with a nervous look, clearly embarrassed, "Oh, so he doesn't."

"Y-Yeah, that's the case, but for good reason!"

"It's none of my business anyways," Kilian decided with a shrug, "I just want to spend time with you in peace. I won't tell him, you don't have to worry."

"Hehe, very well then!"

Kilian asked y/n a lot of questions during the car ride, although he did panic when he assumed that y/n was getting tired of his unrelenting curiosity.

The questions continued as they entered the grocery store together, Serafina remaining in the car with Elena while Zain accompanied the young woman and her nephew.

The conversation shifted from y/n's current lifestyle and to whether Kilian wanted biscuits or bread to go with his meal for that evening.

That was a tough question, so Kilian decided to give it some thought while he helped y/n pick out groceries.

As they were grabbing some onions, Kilian glanced at y/n's bodyguard who held a lit cigarette. He looked like a miserable dude, in all honesty.

"Don't you know that smoking is bad for you?" Kilian spoke up as y/n scurried away to retrieve some butter and paprika, "You'll die young."

"I'm gonna die young anyways so long as the Boss keeps pissing people off." Zain huffed, "Your Aunt is one scary woman, kid."

"Pissing people off?" Kilian echoed.

"Mmhm, it's been like this since she got married." Zain continued, "She's way less tolerate about rival Gang Lords getting touchy, which I sort of understand. Big sis Corinne said it was somethin' about her being married or some ๐Ÿ’ฉ."

Ah, now Kilian was curious.

"Well what'd she do?" he urged.

"Mm... where to begin..." Zain mumbled, "Well! For starters, there was this dude who had been drooling over the Boss ever since your old man was the Big Boss! He was the son of another Gang Lord, super arrogant and ๐Ÿ’ฉ, thought he had a right to your Aunt. So... the dumb ๐Ÿ’ฉ abducted her when she was on her way home."

"Oh my, how clichรฉ."

"I know, right?" Zain puffed out a cloud of smoke, "Anygays, your Aunt didn't really care. She never does, it's like she has a death wish. Anyways, she lured the dude close enough untilโ€”"

There was a loud bang as well as the sound of glass shattering. Someone in the front of the store screamed and Kilian and Zain exchanged a look.

The duo peeked around the shelves of food and found some random dude standing near the entrance to the grocery store. There were two, three, noโ€” four other men with him who wielded metal bats and all that good stuff.

'His ear.' Kilian thought, staring at the auburn haired guy with round eyes, 'Was it ripped off or something?'

"You're kidding..." Zain groaned, "This guy?"

"This guy?" Kilian echoed.

Zain nodded, "This guy. He was down bad for your Aunt, and still is, he was actually the dude I was talking about just now. His name, it's..."

"Oh! Henry, old friend, how are you?" y/n chirped with a smile as she placed some potatoes into the shopping cart, "It's been a while hasn't it?"

The men who were with their boss were practically fuming, one of them more so than the others, 'The audacity of this wench! The last time she saw the Boss, she seduced him into coming closer then bit off his ear!!! We'll definitely make her pay today!'

Henry, on the other hand, was starstruck.

Sure, this was the same woman who lured him in with her honey sweet words and promises of unspeakable things before biting his damn ear off, but...

'mmmm, horny... You look terrific. You look delicious. I wanna snack on you tonight, you're pretty around the mouth. I got admit something: I am getting hot around you... Just like the way your body looks... you're turning us all on around here, I'm going nuts. I wanna get in that... You know what I'm saying? You're looking hot... H-O-T, okay? Man, I've been walkin' around here and somethin' smells good-'

The man was extremely down bad.

"Ahem, yes, y-y/n." the man choked out as he approached her, feeling the eyes of his buddies on him, "Y-You're here for groceries, y-yes?"

"Mhm! I'm going to make some delicious goulash tonight!" she declared before rubbing the back of her next sheepishly, "I'm sure it'll be nowhere near as delicious as the goulash we had in Hugaria, but I'll try my best!"

"Errr, yes, I'm sure it will." Henry continued awkwardly, "Actually, y/n, there was something I wanted to speak with you about."

The men who had initially been there to help their boss abduct y/n all exchanged confused looks as he began to politely converse with the young woman as though they were old friends.

"Do you know what's happening?" one whispered.

"Nah, I'm just as confused as you are." another mumbled, "Maybe she's manipulating the Boss again!"

"Surely he wouldn't fall for the same trick twice!" a third said quickly before casting a glance back at Henry, "R...Right?"

"You wanted to speak with me?" y/n echoed and jumped when she dropped her bag, "Oop, hold on a second!"

As she leaned over to retrieve her bag, Henry's eyes couldn't help but do a little bit of wandering. His eyes first landed on her backside and his thoughts went wild.

'Forreal goddamn that's an ass you put in tupperware cause you can't eat it all at once. That's an ass you put on layaway cause even if you could afford it all at once it'd be too much. That's an ass a waiter would make some smart ass comment about you being hungry if you finished the whole thing. That's an ass you need a bookmark for so you can come back where you left off. That's an ass that needs a checkpoint system so you can jump right back in if you die. It's the type of ass you set up camp halfway through and head up to the summit in the morning. There should be a tax on that ass and it should be in the highest bracket.' Henry raised a hand to his light and coughed into it quietly as he continued to stare at the young woman's voluptuous booty, 'If you won this ass in the lottery and chose to get it in yearly payments instead of a lump sum you'd still have enough ass from year to year to last you a lifetime. There are still parts of this ass that are unmappedโ€”'

Y/n perked back up with a, "You were saying?"

"Ah, yes, uhm..." Henry's eyes once again disobeyed his orders and landed upon her bosom this time, 'I ๐Ÿ‘ mean ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘… no ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿšซ disrespect ๐Ÿคฌ but ๐Ÿ‘. What massive ๐Ÿ˜‚ mamaries, absolutely ๐Ÿ™€ bonkers ๐Ÿคช bazongas, holy ๐Ÿ™ honkers ๐Ÿ“ฏ, outstanding orbs ๐Ÿ”ฎ, blissful boobas, delightful ๐Ÿ‘บ donks, gigantic ๐Ÿ˜ฑ gigamilks, titanic ๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ˜ฃ tatas, just absolutely ๐Ÿ˜ค unimaginable urungadungas, ASTONISHING ๐Ÿคฌ ARA ๐Ÿ”ฅ ARAS, SIMPLY ๐Ÿ˜ก JUICY ๐Ÿ’ฆ JAHONGALONGADINGDONGS'

"I've been wanting to discuss a situation we've had recently!" Henry said quickly as y/n placed some carrots in the grocery cart before some durian caught her eye, "You do remember our last meeting, right?"

"I do. You interrupted me as I was returning home to my husband so we could eat dinner together." she stated, seemingly approving of the spiky fruit before placing it in a bag and wrapping the handles around her hand, "You tied me up in your basement and I was forced to bite your ear so that you'd have your men untie me. Speaking of which, it appears to be missing."

Henry frowned, "You bit it off."

"Oh! Did I?" y/n gasped, lifting a hand to her mouth, "Perhaps that could've been avoided had you called your men to untie me sooner or, better yet, never kidnapped me in the first place!"

"Listen, y/n. You're a beautiful woman, perfect in every single possible way. You're powerful and you're someone who should be respected." Henry continued, "But, don't you think you're unfit to help run the Underworld? I mean, for one, you're rather young. And again, you're making far less money ever since you turned to less... effective means of making money."

"You mean not selling drugs, and refusing to sell off humans like cattle?" y/n questioned.

"...y-yes."

"Look, Henry, you're a terrible guy. Honestly, not a word you say will ever benefit me, so would you kindly allow me to continue shopping on my own?" she sighed, turning away, "Also, next time you want to date someone, don't kidnap them then proceed to stalk and harass them."

As y/n turned go search for the few remaining ingredients she'd need, Henry finally snapped out of his simp daze and gritted his teeth as he recalled why he'd been there in the first place.

This wench bit off his ear! She'd humiliated him in his own home and rejected all of his advances as though she thought she were better than him!

He was here to teach her a lesson.

"Hey, stop right there! You're not getting out of this so easily!" Henry snapped, grabbing ahold of y/n's arm only for the woman to wrench it out of his grip and turn on him.

He hardly had a second to react before the bag containing the durian slammed against the side of his head, some of the thorns piercing through the bag and puncturing the side of his face.

If it wasn't the searing pain that sent him to the ground, it was the blunt force against the side of his head.

"B-Boss!" one of the men from the group shouted as Henry crumbled to the ground, out cold, "You crazy witch! You'll pay for that!"

"Ah, ah, hold on." she said sharply, before glancing at the onlookers as well as the cashier, "All of you, out."

The folks didn't have to be asked twice, all of them stampeding out of the store in a hurry. Even the cashiers dipped!

Zain wasted no time rushing to y/n's side with a frantic, "Boss, you do remember what Laurence said about this kind of stuff! We can't just start a fight here!"

"Mm? Who says we can't?" y/n inquired as she cracked her knuckles and adjusted her hold on the now bloodied bag which still held the durian, "They started it first anyways."

"The Secret Police warned us about causing trouble like this again!" Zain hissed and the young lady shrugged.

"Bah, it's fine. Oleander will handle it!" y/n said dismissively before pointing at the group of men, "Alright, boys!"

They all jumped when y/n stamped a foot down on Henry's fallen body, idly swinging her weaponized bag of fruit, "Come at me with everything you've got!"

"Oh no..." Zain groaned.

Kilian inhaled with a look of awe as the men all exchanged looks before charging at the woman and her bodyguard, wielding bats and even metal poles.

Y/n certainly wasn't a fighter, but she had a knack for turning everyday items into deadly weapons. On top of that, she could use them rather effectively.

Kilian watched silently as Zain and y/n tore through the group of men as though they were a pile of stuffed animals, sending them flying or stumbling away.

Zain had disarmed one of the men, taking his bat and using it to possibly give the few remaining punks some serious concussions, and y/n was just knocking out everyone with that durian.

Hm, from how well the two fought together, you'd think they'd done this before. Many times before.

Kilian was far too busy watching the scene with curiosity that he didn't notice the man sneaking up behind him.

He jumped when some grabbed him by the back of his clothing, beginning to flail and opening his mouth to shout for his aunt but his voice caught in his throat when he felt something could press against the side of his head.

"Keep your mouth shut or I'll blow your brains out, kid!" the man said sharply, his hand shaking ever so slightly.

He was scared.
Kilian was pretty terrified as well, he had a gun to his head, but this man was scared as well.

Of what?

What y/n would do to him if Kilian died?

Ahh, he didn't know. But he could always guessโ€”

"If you kill me..." Kilian began quietly, trying to force his voice not to shake. The man who had grabbed him hesitantly tore his gaze away from where y/n and Zain were still boxing with Henry's men so he could look at the young boy instead.

He tensed under that grey gaze which held so many similarities to late Achille's. While the eye color was different, the look was still the same, and the beauty mark was there.

"If you kill me, you do realize that this day will be your last." Kilian finished and the man flinched.

He couldn't seem to tear his eyes away from the boy's. He seemed to be staring right into the depths of his soul.

"You won't make it out of this store alive, and even if you somehow managed to, you'd wake up only to find yourself in the bottom of a lake." Kilian continued.

"Sh... Shut up!" the man shouted, his voice rising along with his panic as he shook Kilian and prepared to press his finger onto the trigger, "If you don't shut up, I'll send you to join your bastard of a father!"

Kilian tensed at that, and something within him snapped. He turned, grabbed ahold of the arm holding him in place, and bit the man.

The man holding a gun to his head let out a scream and that attracted y/n's attention immediately.

"Kilian!" she shouted and Zain perked up.

"Wha-? Something happened to Kilian?!" Zain demanded only to get ๐Ÿššing sucker punched, "HEY! DUDE, I WASN'T READY!!!"

"S-Stay back!" the man holding Kilian shouted, "I'll shoot him if you come any closer, stay right there!"

The young boy glanced at his Aunt who looked conflicted and decided to make her next decision a little easier. He bit down harder and the man holding him cringed, "You littleโ€”!"

The bloody bag of durian flying through the air came next, slamming against the man's face and sending him to the ground.

As soon as Kilian was free, he dropped to his knees with wide eyes which burned with oncoming tears, 'That was way too close! Way too-!'

He was snatched up by y/n next, hugged close to her chest as she wrapped him up in her warm embrace.

"๐Ÿ’ฉ! I meanโ€” crap, I'm really sorry! I should've made sure you were safely out of the store before we started fighting!" y/n spoke fast, urgently and erratically as though she were trying to fit multiple sentences into one breath, "Are you okay? Hurt anywhere?"

"I... I...!" Kilian's tears finally began to pool over, "Uuu... Aunt Y/n... it's... I'm...!"

Y/n hugged Kilian a little tighter as he began to cry, burying his face into her chest as she held him close.

Zain had finally finished off the last guy, tentatively rubbing the spot where he'd been punched, 'Ugh... I'd like to say that I'm not paid enough for this ๐Ÿ’ฉ, but I get 45,000 dalc a week so I can't complain.'

He glanced over to where y/n was trying to comfort the crying Kilian and saw the gun wielding man who'd taken a durian to the face reaching for his gun.

"Boss! Look out-!" Zain began to shout but his voice went quiet when a hand emerged from behind a shelf holding a silenced pistol. They pulled the trigger and the man was dead in an instant.

A moment later, Elena peeked around the corner with a sweet smile and a thumbs up. She mouthed a, "I've got you all covered."

Zain's cheeks went warm and he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck with an relieved expression, 'Thank goodness...'
