δΈ€ β€š away from a boring tale

(Y/N) WALKED DOWN THE street. With a frown - she walked without interest in anything around her until she came to a halt infront of a store.

Turning her head towards it - she walked in without much thought, pushing the store doors open. She was met with the sight of stacked bookshelves that were all stacked with different kinds of books.

She stepped into the manga section and there was one particular manga that caught her attention. The cover had a man with pink hair.

"He looks pretty." she murmured, crouching down to grab the book and get a better look. A hum leaves her lips and she places it back down to search for the first volume.

"I guess I'll read it for him?" she whispered to herself, holding the first volume of the manga to her chest and walking towards the register.

She paid for it and left. Now she was walking down the street again, but this time with a subtle smile on her face.

(Y/n) glanced at the road with cars passing through and exhaled deeply.

Life was just as boring as before.

She walked back home, entering her home and greeting her mom and dad. Pushing the glass doors of her house open- a wide smile forms on her face. "Hi mom, hi dad!"

"Oh, you're happy today." her mom smiled as she began to set up the plates on the dinner table.

"Well, it's a saturday so...?" (Y/n) laughs nervously.

"Come here and let's have lunch." her dad then said and (Y/n) happily obliged. "Of course." she said in response and her dad pulled open the chair right beside his for her.

(Y/n) stared at her lunch before quickly getting out of her seat. "Please, uhm, excuse me, I'm not really hungry." she said before running up the stairs with te book in hand.

"(Y/n), you haven't even touched your food!" her mom yelled. A sigh left her lips once she received no further response.

"It's fine, dear." the father reassured her.

(Y/n) walked inside her room and jumped onto her bed. Laying on her back - she raised the book over her face and stared at it.

Glancing at the first chapter, she hums in satisfaction. "The artstyle is pretty." she murmurs.

Then she spends her time reading the first volume, forgetting about lunch.

And then the next day - she ran to the store to get all the latest volumes and finished them all in a day.

Finally - she held her phone in hand and scrolled on Tiktok. "Shift...ing?" she said out loud with confusion, turning to her side and moving her phone closer to her face.

Glancing at the screen she watched the video another time to understand more of it.

"This sounds fake." she whispered and dropped her phone on her bed. Turning to the side, she gazed at the plain wall of her room and sighed.

Flipping herself over, she picked her phone back up and opened Tiktok again. This time - she searched up for tiktoks of Record of Ragnarok.

Opening the comment section - she saw a couple of arguments on who should win the next fight and a couple of predictions.

Exhaling deeply, she murmured. "Wonder who I should root for?"

(Y/n) scoffed. "Well, I can't really decide. Maybe if I was in that world it would be easier." after saying those few words, she came to a stop.

"Hm," (Y/n) blinked. "Maybe I can..." tapping on her screen - she searched 'shifting' on Tiktok. Coming across numerous Tiktoks, she put her phone down and took a piece of paper from her desk.

Writing down ideas on a piece of paper, she wrote down her script. "So, how does this work?" she rubbed her right temple with one finger.

Tapping on her screen more, she looked up subliminals on YouTube and got her earphones. "Okay, so meditate just to relax myself..." she took a few deep breaths and closed her eyes.

Following exactly how the steps in the shifting method she saw on tiktok are - she opened her eyes and found herself in the same old boring room.

"Of course it isn't real." she sighed, disappointment evident in her tone.

She tried again. Still nothing.

She tried again. Nothing again.

(Y/n) just got ready, went to school, talked to a few people, ate, and went to bed.

Tried again, nothing happened.

All she did was repeat this boring cycle of her life and did barely anything.

And again.

Sometimes she wonders why she just didn't enjoy life. Why she decided to be a good kid and not cause trouble.

And again.

She was eighteen but it didn't feel like she even enjoyed her life whether as a child, as a teen, and now.

Again. She tried again.

(Y/n) grumbled. "This is the last time I'll do this, I'm gonna quit trying if this fails!" she yelled at the ceiling of her room.

She jumped onto her bed and laid in a comfortable position. She said a few affirmations all while visualizing the world of Record of Ragnarok.

And the last thing she said in her head before falling asleep was:

I wish to live a new life and never be able to live a boring life again.

Later, that wish would soon be granted and she'd live to regret it.
