━ TO BE ONE OF MANY siblings was always a joy to Guinevere Bedwyn, to always have someone to count on. She might not have her father, or her mother, but she had her brothers and sisters, and it was enough. Her family mattered more to her than anything else, and for them, she would do anything. For Guinevere, that meant being proper where her sisters were not, to be polite when her brothers were rude, to know she would never be alone for as long as she had them.

━ BEING ONE OF MANY sons meant to Benedict Bridgerton not knowing who he was. His elder brother was the head of the family, bound by duty and honor and so very sure of himself. Both his younger brothers were unbound by any burdens, free to either travel or yet too young to feel the need to define themselves in any way. All Benedict wanted was to be someone, to not be known as merely a Bridgerton, the second son.

In a way, they were very much alike, in that they were both defined by their families, only Guinevere reveled in it, while Benedict despaired.

Perhaps all they needed was each other, to finally find themselves.

˚ ༘♡ ·˚ ₊˚ˑ༄ؘ AUTHOR'S NOTE! So, this story has been on my drafts since s1, and and s2 dropped, I was simultaneously in love with Benedict again and missing my kathony form the books, because as much as the actors were incredible this season, my heart hurt every time edwina declared herself in love with anthony (where is my number one kathony shipper? gone, just like the bee scene, or the library scene, or the falling into the lake scene!!)
And then it sat for a while longer in the drafts until now, since it's the only thing atm that I like writing and with s3 it seems perfect timing, and I am tired of Benedict being tossed around a new bed every season so here is my justice for the number one romantic of the family (not counting gregory)

Anyhow, this will be a story that merges books and shows, mostly that every storyline except anthony and kate's is like the show's, both because I prefer the book storyline, and because I started this before s2 was even confirmed, so the first act of this fic relies on various plot points of the book to work, but i did add some show stuff that i enjoyed
the balls and social events will also be the ones form the book, so don't worry if things look different, they're meant to

As for the Bedwyns, they are based on another book series, called (very originally) the Bedwyn Saga. All siblings with the exception of Guinevere belong to Mary Balogh, and this story takes place in a world where book 1(slightly married) and book 3(slightly scandalous) have occurred, but none of the others. There is absolutely no need to read any of those books, since I will be adapting these characters and stories so but I would like to state that they are not of my creation.
