"CAMI!" nick shouted as he watched cami step through the door of his house, a large smile growing on his face at the sight of her

"nick! hey" she replied, hugging him as they walked into the kitchen

"i feel like i haven't seen you in years!" he confessed, vividly remembering the last time they had all hung out as a group

"i know i'm sorry, i promise i won't leave it that long again" cami replied, knowing she could never go that long without seeing them again

"what brings you to the sturniolo house hold?" Nick said dramatically, earning a smile from cami

"Chris said i should come over" She said casually, which nick only replied with a worried look

"you know olivia's here right?"

"what? chris said she wasn't" she said with wide eyes, looking to see if Chris was around so she could hurt him in ways he couldn't imagine

"yeah she just-" he was cut off by Matt's voice echoing through the kitchen

"cami! hey" matt said, having his arm around Olivia who stood there with a smirk on her face

"hey.." she replied awkwardly

"hi! i'm olivia we haven't officially met yet" she said in a high pitched voice, walking over to cami and shaking her hand

"yeah uh hi i'm cami" she replied, chuckling awkwardly as she moved over to where chris was, giving him the look that said she was pissed off at him

"we're gonna film a car video tonight so you guys can chill until we're done?" chris said, trying to avoid a screaming match between him and cami

"but matt said i can be in it, didn't you babe?" Olivia interrupted, turning to matt with a pout on her face, cami internally gagged at this

"uh yeah sure, that's cool right?" matt replied, turning to his brothers who nodded slightly, scared of her reaction if they said no

"Cami wanna join?" matt said as he failed to notice the glare his girlfriend had given him

"i'm sure she won't, she's not really dressed well enough to be on youtube" olivia said, laughing at her own joke as she looked camis outfit up and down, a pair of plaid pyjama pants and one of matt's old hoodies she practically lived in

"yeah um, no it's fine i'll just hang here until you guys are done" cami replied, denying their offer because deep down she knew olivia was right, and she hated herself for that

cam's first instinct was to go to Matt's room when they left but she now realised it probably wasn't appropriate to hang out there anymore, so she made her way to nicks room and plopped down on his bed, the pro being his room actually had a light, and wasn't entirely empty

she scrolled through tiktok, replied to a few comments on her latest instagram post and searched through Nick's closet for clothes she could potentially steal whilst he was away

shortly after she got bored, she took a nap which resulted in her waking up yet again, to the three teenage boys screaming at one another as they entered the house

Cami thought it was nick who opened the door to his room, but when she turned around she was faced with matt standing in the doorway, with nothing but a frown covering his face

"uh hey" he finally said, as he closed the door to his brothers room

"hi" cami replied a little too quickly as she stood up from her position on Nick's bed

"can we talk?" he asked quietly, edging closer to the girl as she backed away

"wont your girlfriend be mad?" She said avoiding eye contact with him

"she just went home"

"okay whatever talk then" Cami said breathlessly, wanting to get the conversation over and done with as she was already done with what he had to say

"i already said i'm sorry cami, i don't know what else i can do" He apologised which only earned him a tired look from Cami

"there's nothing you can do matt, i just feel like everything is awkward between us now" She confessed, picking at her perfectly painted nails as she looked at the floor

"i know and i'm sorry for that, it's my fault i never should've said that shit but i just want us to go back to how it we used to be" He repeated, his lips parting slightly as he edged closer to Cami, pushing her chin up so her eyes met his

"that's kinda hard considering your girlfriend isn't that fond of me matt" Cami said backing away, almost a little too loud for Matt's liking as he didn't want his brothers to hear their conversation

"why can't you give her a chance? is it that difficult i mean i really like her and i don't know why you can't just respect that"

"i do respect that but i'm not gonna make an effort with someone who clearly doesn't like me"

"she does like you cam! why do you constantly feel the need to start shit?" Matt said, sitting down on his brothers bed whilst Cami stayed still, not knowing how to reply to him

"oh my god i'm so done with this conversation already i'm going home" She said, walking towards the door when she felt a hand around her wrist

"no wait! what the fuck?" he replied, letting go of her wrist as he stood in front of the door

"what oh my god?"

"why cant we just go back to being friends? i seriously don't get what the problem is" he confessed, wanting to know what was stopping her from forgiving him

"because matt, you have a girlfriend who has already made you distance yourself from me in the little time you've known her, so excuse me for feeling like i'm going to completely lose my best friend to another girl" Cami could feel the tears forming in her eyes as she said this, she knew from the minuet matt got a girlfriend she'd be pushed to the side more often than she'd like, she just never knew it'd feel like this

"i don't know what to say cami, you're not gonna lose me that's ridiculous!" he shouted slightly, knowing little of what would happen to them in the future

"yeah we'll see about that" she said before closing the door and walking out of his house, making her way to her car where the broke down crying
