SERENDIPITY

โœง chapter seven | half truth

Nervous.

Bonnie felt all the muscles in her body tense as she moved forward towards the doors. Letting out a shaking breath as she opened the door oddly feeling better that in the kitchen was Kol waiting in there for her. Standing near the door she furrowed her brows hoping to throw them all off to why they are there.

Damon glared at her, "Why did it take you so long to answer the door?"

Bonnie immediately hardened her fix on him, "None of your concern Damon, but regardless I did not hear the knocking."

Elena immediately got between the two, "We need your help Bon."

Bonnie eyed her, "With what exactly."

Stefan moves towards Bonnie, "Is better to discuss this inside, but Esther is here to help us."

Bonnie shook her head, "I'm sorry but I am not inviting any vampires in my house no matter how much we are friends."

Elena moves towards Bonnie as her eyes watered hoping to guilt trip her friend, "Bon, please for me?"

Bonnie narrowed her eyes as she quickly eyed the original witch who was quiet just observing this entire exchange, "I am sorry Lena, I can't but what do you need."

Elena was about to reply when the original witch stepped forward, "We need a spell my dear, a simple spell."

"What kind of spell?"

Stefan shook his head, "Not here Bonnie too much prying ears, just bring Caroline tomorrow to the boarding house."

Bonnie nodded as they all started to walk away. Shutting the door she could not help but think when things went wrong. With so much going on, there is no time for her or Caroline to breathe.

Yes, they both are strong independent women but they are 18 years old. Barely a legal adult with no experience of the beauty of the world, only the pain and darkness that it can bring.

Moving towards the kitchen, knowing Kol had everything and had questions. She saw him sitting on the chairs with a glass of milk and cookies, as he turned to her, "These are good."

Bonnie let out a little huff as she went to take a bite of the cookie, "Caroline made them so they are obviously delicious."

Kol let out a little hmm at that. Bonnie sets her cookie down, "You have questions don't you?"

Kol nodded his head as he decided to bring up the mood with a little teasing, "No vampires allowed huh?"

Bonnie let out a giggle at that as she shakes her head. She decides to tell just about his mother's plans and how there is not anything he has to worry about. She just hoped that Caroline would do the same with Klaus. Bonnie moved closer to him.

"Ask away."

Warmth. The sensation that over time becomes something welcoming to one. A feeling of softness, protectiveness, and love. It felt so warm to the couple that was just merely sitting together.

An unexplainable bond they feel when it was just them and it comes out of sudden. Klaus and Caroline were quiet as they sat on the couch each with thoughts in their own minds consuming them.

Klaus Mikaelson. The original hybrid, conquering empires, slowly taking over the world. He always knows what is going on no matter what the circumstance is. Yet this was bizarre to him, a pregnant baby vampire who seems to be hiding from her friends and his mother. With the obvious fact that something going between her, the witch and his eldest brother.

Caroline Forbes. The woman who does belong in this time, who knows too much when she shouldn't to begin with. She closes her eyes, she knows for the fact that Klaus knows something is up but has not questioned her because he respects her too much. Opening her eyes she sees from her peripheral view that he was lost in his own thoughts.

Caroline could not help how everything went wrong so quickly. Yes, she trusted him to not say anything but that does not change the fact that he knows and his brother does too. It was too early for everything to come out.

She could feel his view on her, shaking her thoughts as she glanced at him, "Ask away."

Klaus wanted to right away ask about the pregnancy but he did not want to scare off just yet. He completely moved his body for it to be towards her, "Why was my mother heading to see your witch friends much less with the rest of your friends?"

Caroline debated whether to tell him the full truth or not. The harm was not there since Bonnie unlinked them already but still she was not sure. Glancing at him she could see him trying to keep it together instead of acting out.

Shaking her head she looked straight at him, "Please just listen to all of it before you act out. Please."

Klaus narrowed his eyes but nodded. Relief washed over Caroline as she told him the truth, "The day of the ball, your mother called Elena for a meeting. Apparently Elena gave your mother some of her blood which links all of you...."

Klaus shook his head as hissed out, "At what moment?"

Caroline glared, "I was getting there but you interrupted me."

Klaus rolled his eyes which caused Caroline to glare at him harder, "The champagne. You all drank it when the toast was given so....."

Klaus let out a hardened chuckle, "Let me guess you want me to not hurt your friends, all this could be a little play for your games."

Caroline stood up as she walked away. She really doesn't want to deal with this right. Klaus grabbed her arm, "Don't walk away from me."

Anger filled up Caroline, "Don't walk away from you? I should have walked away from you the moment I saw you."

Klaus shook his head, "I am not sparing you or your friends. I am the original hybrid."

Deja vu hit Caroline as this fight was similar to their previous timeline. She shook his head as he continued, "I will not be played for a fool or the.."

"You are not linked!"

Caroline huffed out as that really took a lot of energy out of her and all she wants to do is sleep. Klaus moved towards her as their faces were inches away from touching, "What?"

Caroline could not help as her face softened a bit, "If you let me finish, I was going to tell you they are not linked."

"How?"

Caroline let out a tiny giggle which caused Klaus to raise his brow, "Bonnie did the unlinking spell and we got the blood from.."

"Finn."

Caroline nodded as she moved closer to him, "You are an asshole you know."

Klaus let out an amused chuckle, stepping a closer to her, "Am I now?"

Caroline realized how close they are. Their lips centimeters away from touching one another. She moved her eyes, which were intently staring right back to his.

"The biggest asshole, I know."

Whoever moved towards each other first was not known beside the feeling of when their lips connected. The best feeling that they both ever had. The kiss was just them. There were no words to describe it.

He kissed her as if she wanted to be kissed, as if no boy had ever kissed her before, the kiss was soft and wet and hot and breathy. Not seeking victory but wanting union and proximity and the sharing of one breath, one sensation, one timeless and passionate instant.

The heat grew in her cheeks as his tongue brushed into her tongue, rapid and electric and wonderful, then firmer, more determined, more interested about the fire that lay within, seeking that elusive liquid lightning that reached through both of them.

The both pulled away leaning their foreheads against each other. Klaus eyes Caroline who had such a beautiful delicate smile. Her rosy red cheeks filled him up. Caroline stares at him as if he was undeniably perfect. His little crinkles in the corner of his eyes that shone so bright.

Caroline moves forward again to taste him once more. Her lips brushed against his, lightly and delicately, like butterfly wings, just long enough for him to inhale her breath and feel the warmth of her skin, and the flavor of her cherry lipstick lingered long. His lips brushed up against hers, as if he was attempting to crush and ruin her mouth.

Both pulled away, as Caroline wrapped her arms around his neck as he leaned to place his head in the crook of her neck to inhale her lavender, vanilla scent. Both catching their breaths, knowing they will have to eventually talk about everything but at this moment it was just them.

Klaus snuggled his head into her neck hoping to leave his scent on her. Because there was no way he was ever going to ever let her go now. Not when he just got a taste of her.

He did not care that she was pregnant because he will be there for her and her babies because he does not plan on ever letting them go. Not when she fills him up with so much warmth.

Caroline tightens her grip on him, just wanting to feel him. She does not care whether this was a bad idea or not because at this moment all her worry went away. She needs him to be with her no matter what. He fills her up with warmth.

They both need each other no matter what.

She is his.

He is hers.
