~ Silas's POV ~

Β  Β  The sun was completely gone now, the stars shined brighter than the moon which meant that the spotlight is on the stars not the moon, I always loved the stars though, they make your eyes look more gorgeous.
Β Β  I had spent most of my time sitting at a table eating or talking to my friends, but now the dance is coming to an end and I still haven't seen Bruce.

Β Β  Once the DJ announced that the last dance would be coming up, I felt like I was stabbed in the back as I was left by myself, Robin was too busy trying to prove to Moose that he can take him on any where at any time, which just proved my point on how lonely I am.
Β Β  I watched as my friends grabbed their boyfriends hand and walked to the dance floor, swaying to the music of the last song, enjoying their presence which made me feel single.

Β Β  "I am more than just sorry for being late, I swear I was supposed to come earlier!"

Β  A voice shouted from behind me, the music was really loud so everyone had to scream and shout to be able to hear what the other is saying, I turned around and met eyes with Bruce who looked very stressed out and guilty for leaving me alone all this time.
Β Β  I crossed my arms, I didn't want to seem as if I was annoyed with him, but I was already sitting on my ass for almost four hours, I want an actually explanation.

Β Β  " I thought you were going to stand me up, I started getting a tad bit worried for a moment. "

Β Β  Bruce smiled a little bit before sitting next to me, he looked at me and cleared his throat, getting ready to explain his side of the story.

Β  Β  "I had to babysit my sister for a bit because my parents were running late from work, I don't want you thinking that I did this on purpose. You are way too important for me to stand up."

Β Β  I didn't want to seem as if I was falling for him again but there I was, falling for him once more because he knew how to press the buttons correctly, Bruce knows how to make you feel as if the world will never end whenever you're with him.
Β Β  My brain was trying to figure out a good sentence to reply to his but nothing was ever good enough, I didn't like how much I liked him and how hard I try to see if he likes me as well.

Β  Β  "HomecomingΒ  is almost over Yamada, I've spent it all stuffing my face and watching as my friends made amazing memories with their partners. Could you imagine how lonely i felt and seemed?"

Β Β  The response wasn't supposed to come out kind, it was to show him that even though he did show up and didn't leave me hanging, I still felt a tiny bit embarrassed to have dressed up and made sure I looked good enough to impress someone who didn't show up until the very ending.
Β Β  Bruce's smile slowly faded as he listened to me, nodding his head as if he understood what I was telling, I just wanted him to understand how I felt.

Β  Β  "I apologize, I never intended to make you feel lonely or look like it either, I'll make it up to you Harrison. You know I will."

Β Β  Bruce told me as the last song slowly faded away, reminding me that the dance is done, we didn't even dance once which is what makes me more upset rather than annoyed.
Β  I looked away from the boy next to me and looked at the ground instead, Bruce noticed this and got up from the seat, walking to where the DJ is and asking or telling him something.

Β Β  Not wanting to seem as if I was fascinated with the boy's movement, I stared at my heels and smiled as the glitter reminded me of a disco ball that I had always wanted before, I knew that I was falling deeper for this boy.
Β  Another song played, I knew the song by heart as it was one of my favorite songs in the whole wide world, My Girl.

Β  Β  When I looked up from the ground, Bruce was already standing in front of me, with an outstretched hand with a smile dancing all over his face.

Β Β  "May I have this dance, Silas?"

Β Β  Bruce asked, I smiled at him and nodded my head before grabbing his hand, he led me to the dance floor where everyone didn't dare go to, and began to sway along with me.
Β Β  I could feel everyone staring at us, but I didn't care for it as I was finally with him, even if it's not in the way that I had wanted, I wanted to dance with him when we were dating not as friends.
