"I love your hugs." 

Lando had not been home for two weeks now. It had been a double race week, and he had directly flown from Portugal to Spain. You had talked on the phone every evening, and you could sometimes hear how much he missed you, not only because he mentioned it at least three times in every conversation.

"I miss you, baby." he always said in a tone that sounded like a little child who had his lollipop taken away. "I miss you too. The bed is too big for me alone." you added with a laugh to lighten the mood and Lando a bit. You didn't want him to be sad when you couldn't be there to comfort him. 

Sometimes you accompanied him on his races, but you had your job and so it wasn't always possible to work from another country. 

But today was the day. Ever since you got up, you had this feeling of happiness. Today you could finally take him in your arms again. Lando had already texted you before you woke up. 

Lan💍: I'm packing my stuff now. See you tonight x 

He had written to you and your heart jumped when you had read his message.

There was a sound of an engine outside the house, and you went to the window to see if Lando was there yet. And sure enough, there he was. He must have hurried because it wasn't even nine o'clock yet.

You went to the door and unlocked it while Lando parked his car in your driveway. You leaned in the door frame with your arms crossed over your chest and waited for him to get out. When he locked his car and turned around, he saw you. A smile spread across your lips and Lando smiled at you too, overjoyed. He quickly walked towards you and let go of his suitcases. 

Still leaning against the door frame, you looked up at Lando. "Hey." you said, grinning at him, "Welcome home.".
He tilted his head and grinned back.
Lando was so happy to be home. Being home meant not coming to his own house, but to you. 

Lando leaned down to peck your lips and grabbed your waist to pull you closer to him. He was too tall for you, so he lifted you up, and you wrapped your arms around his neck. As he lifted you up you squealed with delight and a little gasp of surprise. Lando laughed with a snort before he put his head in the crook of your neck and breathed in your familiar scent. 

"I love your hugs." you mumbled into his hair. Your hand ran through his dark brown curls as he wrapped his arms tightly around you. 

"I missed you so much, baby." 

"I missed you too. I love you, Lan." you whispered, your face still buried in his hair. You leaned back a little to look at him and smiled at him in love. Lando's eyes shone with happiness, and he exhaled happily. He brushed his nose against yours. "I love you." he said and pressed his lips on yours again.
