Chapter 10: Gyeong-su

I sat on the chair silently thinking about ways or possible move that we could do while waiting for the rescuers, even tho we're not sure if they'll come or not.

I want to tell them that but i also don't want to break their hope,especially thats the only thing that we could hold for now.

Well you can't blame me for not fully hoping at them,I have a major trust issues so meh

As i was spacing out i got back on the reality when Gyeong-Su spoke

"Y'know they trust you. Why did you have to quarantine yourself too Prez?"Gyeong-Su suddenly asked turning to me as i also looked at him releasing a little smile

"I just think it's a little of unfair. They also trust you y'know"i said

"Yeah..but they didn't hesitate to believe you, while me...i got cornered. They only believe me because you sided me"He replied frowning

His reason is completely understandable,The feeling of no one trusting you is sucks especially at a time like this but i couldn't also blame the other's.
In a situation like this we don't know who to trust, They panic because they're afraid to turn to one of those disgusting monsters, They'll hesitate but atleast it could work. Giving trust is something we should work about right now.

"I understand..,But Cheong-san believes you right?If i wasn't the one who stands up for you im sure Cheong-san will"

I said giving him a smile and after a little thinking he smiles back at me

"Hmm..,Now i recall he stands up for me too"He said scratching his neck

"We trust you Gyeong-su. I promise that i'll protect you as repay because you stand up for me too earlier on Bong-cha"I stated giving him a sincere smile

Recalling the events earlier Gyeong-su always spoke up to Bong-cha, simply scolding her at her stupidness, It's kind of cute actually and i do appreciate it

"Compare to everything you've done? That's nothing prez!"He said giving me a enthusiasm thumbs up which makes me huffed a smile,slightly shaking my head

"By the way,Is your hand okay?"I asked pointing his hand also the reason why he's here.
At the mention of his hand he looks at it analyzing the scratch and raised it enough for me to view

"Yup,No pain"

I simply took his hand which makes him surprised but i just ignore it and start analyzing his scratch.
It's actually not a big deal, The little blood has already dried up and starting to heal

I turn back my attention to him only seeing that he is already looking at me but looks deep in thought and spacing out

I wonder what is he thinking

I waved my hand in his face getting his attention and when he realized thag he's spacing out he unconsciously pull away his hand and backed a little in panic,caused for him to almost fall at the table but luckily i had stand up and grabbed his arm just in time

He regained his balance but trying to avert his eyes at me

Weird,I don't recall doing anything wrong?

"Are you okay?"I asked looking worriedly at him as he suddenly stands up straight and laughed awkwardly

"O-ofcourse!Very okay"He said still averting his eyes at me

"Are you sure?"I ask again but he just shrugged and noded at me

"Y/n!Look! There's a guitar!"

I snapped out of my thoughts when Gyeong-su ran to me holding a guitar and strumming it lightly.

"You know how to play?"I asked giving my attention on the guitar he's holding while he sat on the desk infront of me, facing me.

"Just a bit,I am still learning it"He answers giggling a little as i couldn't help but to released a smile

He starts strumming the guitar, playing a familiar tune

The Auld lang syne..

If im honest,the way he strums the guitar is gentle and the tune is relaxing,I could fell asleep by this sound.
The sound of the guitar playing and our breath is all could hear right now and it's not a awkward silence but the comfortable silence

While he's playing the guitar i didn't notice that i am already smiling while focusing my attention on the strings of guitar that softly moving by the hands of Gyeong-su.

"You play well, Im jealous"I said interrupting him from playing the guitar as he just giggles awkwardly and scratch his neck in shyness

"Stop complementing me, If you want i could teach you after we survived"He stated giving me a warm smile

"Why not now?"I asked

"So we could hold to something that will motivate us to fight until the end. I am really looking forward to teach someone the things i like even tho im not that good especially you,Prez"

At his statement i couldn't help but to look at him in awe and shocked. Gyeong-su always ask the others for the academics or a sport even tho he is still a learner, a feeling of someone complementing you in a thing that you're not even professional about is very heart warming.

"Sure, Let's do that"

I said smiling at him as he gave me a very sweet smile with his teeth showing

Then before our talk could continue a knock has been heard and we both turn to the door and saw Cheong-san there

We both look at him in confusion,fully giving our attention towards the lad

Cheong-san starts whistling,We don't hear it from the inside of the room but we could tell by how his lips move then Gyeong-su starts whistling with him
And it's also the same tune just like the tune he just play on the guitar

When they're done Cheong-san says something to the boy I'll kill you if you turn
As Gyeong-su pretends like getting something and acts like rolling something on his hand and suddenly gave Cheong-san a middle finger as they both giggles along with me.

Then Cheong-san gave us a hand signal along with his lips It's been 30 minutes,come out

While Gyeong-su ignores him and shoo-ing him away and turns back facing the wall, gripping tightly on the Guitar

Stubborn

Then Cheong-san turns to me also giving me a questioning look as i just shrugged copying Gyeong-su's move,also facing the wall

I'm not going out until Gyeong-su won't, He's the reason why i suggest to quarantine myself after all. Especially not just because of a stupid accusation of Bong-cha.
If only Gyeong-su didn't get accused to be bitten i would simply ignore Bong-cha but since Gyeong-su got dragged, it'll be unfair for Gyeong-su if wouldn't also lock myself up.

"You could walk out of the room,y'know?"I turn to Gyeong-su that frowning and glaring at the floor
He must've been feeling guilty or shame since he might think that i pity him but he's wrong.

"Don't want to, Bong-cha is outside you know how she always drag me to things that i don't even know about"I said simply shrugging as i noticed a smile the curl from the lips of the lad

"I know right, She's always up to something"He said slightly giggling

Before i could talk the sound of the door opening along with the footsteps interrupt me
I turned to the person who cause the sound and it was Na-yeon

Gyeong-su just turn back at her as Na-yeon is approaching us,I simply stay quiet, waiting for her to apologize to him

She turns to look at me for a second but not saying anything then turns her attention to Gyeong-su

"Hey.Im talking to you"

Na-yeon calls out to Gyeong-su whose ignoring her

"You're ignoring me?"

Na-yeon asked as Gyeong-su scoffed in annoyance

"What do you want?"Gyeong-su asked turning to her as i just watched the two talked

"Why don't you answer me?"
"Apologize and get out."

"How's your cut doing?"

Na-yeon asked as Gyeong-su didn't turn to her and scoffed

"Why do you care?"

"Show me."

Then Na-yeon suddenly walks towards Gyeong-su and grabbed his hand and start analyzing the scratch.
Then she gets a handchieved from her skirt pocket..

Na-yeon seems been off since she entered to this room,not talking too much just like before and seems not to herself because the way she talk is short and cold.Her right hand is also on her pocket seems playing to something.

Before i could continue my thoughts i had snapped out of my thoughts when i noticed something wrong on her handchieved

A red tint of blood.

Your classmates are watching you and Gyeong-su and couldn't help to get jelous at how you act around him.
