EPISODE THREE

"he's the only guy i'm interested in"

"hana is literally every asian parents dream child"

"during our special meal together i find hanbin interesting, i'm not really good with starting with conversations but i find myself talking more with him." soe explained why he picked hanbin

"the reason i picked hanbin is obvious, he's the only guy i'm interested in. after they went to the special meal i have this thought that he might not pick me, am i worried? no, why should i be. if he changed his mind i guess he's not really that interested with me to start with" hana shrugged her shoulders while smiling

hana was standing covering her eyes from the sun. "he left? already?" she mumbled she then looked at the men's cabin before slowly lowering her hands ready to get her bags and go back to the cabin, when she saw the man she's waiting for walking straight at her, smiling brightly, she returned the smile shaking her head at him.

"i'm sorry i took so long, i forgot something. i had to find it" hanbin apologized when he was in front of her "is this all your things?" he gestured to her white bag when he saw her nod he grabbed the handle of the bag transferring it to the same hand where his bag is before offering his free hand to hana "let's go to paradise?" the girl laughed at this gesture before reaching for his hand "i'd love to" the two shared a laugh before heading to paradise.

"see i told you oppa! it's hana and hanbin!!"

"seoeun and yoongjae"

"that means nadine, soe, sejeong and jongwoo will have to stay in inferno"

"i get why they call this paradise now" hana said while looking around the place, amazed. "hana-ah, are you hungry? let's order some food now" she heard hanbin calling her from the living room. "i'm starving" she lightly ran excited to order some food. hanbin who's sitting at the couch heard light running footsteps coming his way, he laughed when he saw hana glowing with excitement with the mention of food.

"are you allergic to anything? do you eat fish? you like meat right? let's order that. they have salad too i remember you saying you like to eat salad before you eat your main dish." hanbin is busy scanning through the menu he didn't see hana staring at him amazed and touched that he remembered things she told him "look at this one! they have tons of desserts, you like pastries. here look cheesecakes, you love those" he's a bit confused cuz he's been talking for a while now, he looked at the quiet girl beside him and saw her smiling at him, he blushed a bit embarrassed for rambling.

"wow, you ordered a lot" hanbin laughed at the girl "let's eat, i'm taking advantage of it. when we go back to inferno, back to sweet potatoes and radish" hana nodded remembering the taste of sweet potatoes and radish. "i'm glad i'm with you then" she shyly added, hanbin reached for the platter of salad before putting some on her plate. "oh, thank you" she taught he's done but he then started to put already sliced bite size meat on her plate, her heart is beating fast not used to this kind of gestures.

"do you like tomato pasta or white sauce?" hanbin asked the girl who thinks for a minute before answering "hmm, i'm not a big pasta fan but if i eat pasta i tend to get white sauce pasta, i have a question" he nod at her saying that he's listening "did you choose me because you're interested or just because?" she knew that the question is a little bit straightforward but since they're here she decided that she needs to know now if they both feel the same way or he's just stringing her along.

hanbin stared at her before chuckling lightly "i was about to ask you that also" he started "the very first time i saw you i'm immediately drawn to you, i don't know if it's the white dress." they both laughed before he continued "i can't stop thinking and taking care of you. it's a bit embarrassing to say this but you fit my ideal type perfectly. after talking to you and i get to know more about your personality that just made me more interested. how about you?"

"i think the same way. you were the first one i made eye contact with. during the first day i'm really grateful that you made small talks, i'm not really a shy person but it's a bit hard for me during the start because i'm staying at this unknown place with 12 strangers, i don't know how to start conversations with you guys because i have no idea what type of topics to bring up, but there you were asking me what i like to eat, my hobbies, if i like sun or moon better" hanbin laughed remembering the first day "i'm a bit shocked to be honest i thought you wouldn't choose me because i feel like we didn't really talk about this" she gestured "i mean it's not like we told each other 'hey let's go to paradise together' so yeah i guess it's a bit suprising that you chose me" 

"i didn't expect hana to bring that question up first"

"hanbin looks suprised too"

"they connected already"

the two decided to move to the living room to continue their talk. "oh, by the way how old are you?" hanbin asked "nevermind, let's guess each other's age, call?" hana nodded, "call"

"hmm, i'm thinking early twenties. 23?" hanbin pointed at her thinking he got it right "i'm right! you're 23" he nodded, "are you sure you're right?" hana smirked at him when she saw him thinking again "you're wrong" she laughed at his confused face "i'm 22, but 23 is close, hey why are you staring like that? do i look old for my age?" she asked him, hanbin kept staring at her "i knew that you're younger but hearing it from you is shocking" "why? why is it shocking" she tilted her head, "you're mature for your age, the way you talk and your perspective in life" she nodded having to hear that a lot.

 "how about you? how old are you?" he asked her to guess his age "oh, i think 25? 26?" he shook his head no "no? wait, are you like 29?" they both laughed hanbin seeing her nervous face "no i'm 24" "oh my god don't scare me like that." hana hit him playfully  "why? do i look old?" he teased "no, it's not like that! what do you think my job is?" hanbin nodded "how about we give each other hints?" he suggested "mine is too obvious if i give you a hint!" she replied "hmm, should i guess yours first then?" he nodded gesturing her to continue "let me think, you're good in the kitchen so my guess is a chef" 

"really? that's why he was good at cooking!"

"he's a chef!"

"i'm a chef. at the korean international cooking contest organized by the korean cooks federation, i won the grand prize in 2018. and the director of the organization award in 2019. i have a certification for korean, western, and chinese cuisines. also in food safety management supervised by the national restaurant association in the united states."

"it's been about seven years since i started cooking. i think i feel attracted to the cooking process. i have pride in myself as a chef."

kim hanbin, 24, chef

"you guessed it right!" hana beamed at him "what can i say, i'm a great guesser" hanbin laughed at her "now guess my job" he stared at her trying to see what job she gives off "i might be wrong but i'm guessing model? fashion or beauty model" he looked at her waiting for her to say he's right "nope you're wrong, i'll let you try again. here's a hint sky and land" hana looked at him, flattered that he thought she's a model "sky? ah! flight attendant! huh?! what do you mean no" hanbin was confused she's not a model, she's also not a flight attendant.

"i'm a pilot" hanbin looked at her trying to see if she's joking "and i'm a law student right now" she smiled at him while he looked at her amazed "wah, you're amazing, wait but you're only 22 right?" hana laughed at him nodding.

"what? a pilot? that's very unexpected!"

"wait she's a pilot and a law student? how old is she again?"

"look at hanbin's reaction" *laughs*

"i started my flight training when i was 14, at first it's nothing special, so i assumed i'd do it for 5-8 months before quitting and switching to another interest. but as i get older i realize that flying is for me and it makes me happy, i then completed both my bachelor's degree and my private lesson license. i decided to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer since i feel like i can accomplish a lot more now that i've pursued my aviation dream and had to fulfill it at a young age.

"so here i am, pursuing another of my dreams. i'm a second-year law student at Oxford University."

kwon hana, 22, pilot & law student

"wow, she's really amazing!"

"she's very unexpected. also she's 22? a pilot and a lawyer!?"

"hana is literally every asian parents dream child"

"*laughs*"

after talking for hours the two decided to clean up and shower first since it's getting late. "hana you can have the bed" hanbin said to the girl who just entered the room "i'll sleep in the other bedroom" he smiled at her before grabbing his bag ready to go. "why? there's another over there" she pointed at the spare bed "i'm okay with you here. it's not uncomfortable" hana gave him a smile that reassured him. "wah~, this is so nice" hanbin laughed at the girls when he saw her loving the bed "it is. i wish we could stay here a bit longer though." she nodded agreeing with him.

hana stood up and went to switch the light off so they could rest, leaving the side lamps open. "hana, thank you so much for this day" hanbin softly whispered knowing that the girl could hear him. "don't thank me. i also had fun today, thanks to you" he heard a shy reply.

﹌﹌﹌

"after knowing their backgrounds i find them cooler" hanhae said after learning the backgrounds of the 3 couples. "right? who did you guys find interesting?" kyuhun asked his co-hosts. "for the guys, i find dongwoo really cool. i didn't expect him to be a plastic surgeon." the other hosts nodded in agreement "the girls definitely hana! she's a pilot and a law student!" laughs filled the studio hearing him rant about how cool and amazing hana is for 2 straight minutes.

"right! also i feel like hana and hanbin, seoeun and yoongjae connected this night, while seulki and dongwoo not so much" jinkyung said

"oh definitely! dongwoo's feeling skyrocketed while seulki is going down." danhee agreed with jinkyung

﹌﹌﹌

back in inferno, the girls are talking about the guy they chose earlier. "did anyone...kind of change after today?like you're type" sejeong asked the girls "actually i've been talking about the same person ever since the first impressions" soe admitted, the girls nodded "i see" nadine quietly said having a hint about who's she's talking about. "but how should i put this? for me, even if i have the slightest bit of feelings i tend to show it, but it's only been a few days now. so i'm worried that he might feel that i was putting pressure on him, or you know something like that. but today i think he went with hana because i saw them talking a lot" she continued "but it's kinda obvious that hanbin is interested in hana, no?" nadine couldn't help but to share her opinion

"so the two of them leaving together for paradise isn't that shocking" she added "yeah but when we were having brunch together earlier we also talked a lot, so i thought maybe he would want to talk more with other people other than hana" soe said the other girls nodded at her but also thinks that it isn't a shocking thing that hanbin picked hana since from the start they all knew that the boy only had his eyes on her, but also could't help but to feel sorry for soe.

"she has her eyes only on hanbin, but hanbin has his on hana."

"but you see nadine already said it. it's obvious to everyone that hanbin is into hana from the moment she walked down, we all knew that except soe i guess"

˗ˏˋ outfit 'ˎ˗

"i guess they're back!" jongwoo shouted when he saw the couples who went to paradise walking towards them. "that was a short trip" sejeong said while walking to them "i know right" jongwoo who's beside her agreed 

"hana!" a shout from the girls tent caught the attention of the said girl, hana laughed when she saw who shouted her name "nadine! i missed you!" she hugged the taller girl "oh my god you have to tell me how your night went!" the taller girl teased her "why are you so excited, so much energy" they both laughed.

hana tried to get her bags from hanbin who insisted to hold it for her "it's okay i can manage" she said while giving him the grabby hands "no it's okay, it's heavy let me help you" he patted her head "i'll leave it there beside the tent's entrance" after putting her bags down he stares at her, hana who's talking to nadine looked to her right seeing hanbin waiting for her to finish talking to nadine "go ahead" nadine nodded at her to go to hanbin

"hey" hana shyly said, she's a bit sorry that he's been carrying her stuff "hi"hanbin couldn't help but to laugh at her shyness "why are you going shy on me now, hmm?" he stepped closer to hana who just turned redder "stop" she mumbles that made him laugh harder "adorable" he whispered lowly before reaching to pinch her now red cheeks "i'll see you later" he gave her a bright smile before going to the guys tent.

nadine who's inside the tent together with sejeong looked to the entrance when she saw hana entering with a red face "you're glowing girl" the three girls laughed seeing how glowy and bright hana looks. while talking sejeong mentioned soe "yeah we talked last night and she said she's a bit disappointed at hanbin for not picking her" hana was shocked to hear that "yeah she said she taught they had a connection when they went out during the special meal" sejeong continued, she was a bit suprised when soe went to her and talked her feelings out but she was more suprised when she realize that she's implying that she should be the one with hanbin picked when they all saw how smitten the guy is to hana.

meanwhile at the guys tent, "i want to know what you ate" jongwoo jokingly said. "i feel like i said 'wow' more than 20 times, you can't help but to say it nonstop for five minutes" yoongjae said before looking at hanbin "right?" hanbin nodded agreeing. "it's very different, the vibes and the place" he said.

"we talked a lot" hanbin answered when the guys asked him "how long? 2-3 hours?" dongwoo said "i think 6 hours? maybe more, we talked all night long" he laughs remembering the night. "ah right! you now know hana's occupation and other facts about her!" dongwoo said, also curious about the said girl "yeah, she's amazing. she just surprises me every time." hanbin slightly bragging about the girl "is it predictable?" this time it's jongwoo who asked the question "no, not at all. i was so surprised when she told me, it's unpredictable." the other guys who were listening to hanbin talk about hana became even more interested in her.

[ intercom chiming ]

"today, another set of couples will be matched to go on a date in paradise. but today, you cannot choose the same person you were a couple with yesterday. i'll be looking forward to the new paradise couples. but before that you'll be playing a game to win the opportunity to go on a date and have a special meal. participants, please come to the beach." 

˗ˏˋ outfit 'ˎ˗

"now i will explain today's game. please open the black box that you see in front of you. today's game is tug of war. two of you will put on the shoulder harnesses that are connected by the rope. once you hear the whistle, move as fast as you can towards the flag placed in front of you. the first contestant to pull his flag is the winner of the game. "

"oh my god, you really have to be strong for this one" hana said, she's thankful that they didn't play anything like this. looking at the harnesses she is already tired just thinking about playing tug of war in the sand. "this is a battle of pride" seulki said

﹌﹌﹌

"but if they lose, won't they get dragged?" kyuhun said which made dahee laughed.

"that's right" hanhae replied "pride will be hurt here, one way or another" he added

"this is sad, oh no" dahee said still laughing

﹌﹌﹌

"now, we will start the first match. shin dongwoo and jo yoongjae, please put on the harnesses."

"the match between muscle men" sejeong said looking at the two guys in front of them "who do you think will win?" seulki asked hana who's beside her "i'm actually clueless, it's hard to predict" seulki nodded agreeing with her. "look at his face" hana said "he looks like a different person" she pointed at yoongjae who's looking extremely serious. 

"cute" hana quietly laughed seeing hanbin in the middle being the referee for the two guys. 

"ready, start!"

"wow!"

"oh my god!"

"oh my god! is this right?" hana exclaimed seeing the two guys fighting each other's strength "they're not budging" she added. the match between the two guys started to heat up more, hearing the cheers and encouragements from their fellow contestants made them want to win more.

"the winner of the match between shin dongwoo and jo yoongjae is shin dongwoo!"

"now, the next match will begin. choi jongwoo and kim hanbin, please step forward"

"why am i nervous" nadine laughed at hana "he's gonna be fine" she patted her back before focusing on the two guys. 

"the winner of this match is choi jongwoo!"

"you did great!" hana smiled at hanbin seeing the disappointed look on his face. hanbin only smiled at her feeling ashamed that he lost. 

"the winners choi jongwoo and shin dongwoo will proceed to do a final match. the final match is a three way match."

"is another male cast member coming?"

"wow!"

"wait someone's coming?"

both the girls and the guys were shocked when they heard the news. "another guy?" "is this for real?". the cast went silent when they saw a male figure coming down. his aura screams confident and just overall alpha male. a long haired guy made his way down earning both curious and wary stares. 

"he's really confident, look at him walk" hana said looking at the new guy "i was shaking when i walked down the first day, i probably looked like a mess" a few of them laughed at her knowing that her walk was far from what she's imagining. they all knew that her entrance screams, that girl.

the new guy reached them bowing and saying hello to each and everyone. hana was looking at her slippers trying to shake the sand when she felt a stare, she looked up and was shocked when she made eye contact with the new guy "hello" she shyly said while bowing, she doesn't want him to think that she's rude.

"oh my god" hana was shocked "what the hell happened" she remembered hearing a whistle and poof the game is done. before she knew it, the game was over. the two guys literally got dragged, having no time to even fight the new guy's strength. 

"to the winner, kim jinyoung. please choose two women you would like to enjoy the special meal with."

"you can go and choose"  jongwoo kindly explained to jinyoung, the new guy. "ah" jinyoung nodded before taking a step forward to see the girls clearly.

"i will eat with the second woman and the fourth woman" he loudly said "the pretty girl" he then quietly added.
