Kristen didn't know what time it was, just that she and Hopper needed to get out of the prison today.

"Head west, through the forest," Enzo explained to Hopper and Kristen. "You will see a church with a gray roof. Wait inside. Yuri will meet you guys there."

"So you heard from her?" Hopper asked.

"Yeah, they arrived last night. They're meeting Yuri soon. If all goes well, by tomorrow night you're home, eating Enzo's with your sexy woman."

"She's not my woman," Hopper stated.

"Of course not. She saves your guys' life because of friendship. Look, Americans, do not put too much hope into this dream. I have thought long about this, and I give you odds of success fifty to one."

"Gee, thanks," Kristen responded in a monotone voice.

"You don't even seem nervous, Americans. I'm impressed. You're cool cats."

"Is that a Queen reference?"
"Queen?"
"Never mind."

God, Kristen missed her sister.

"I mean, like Steve McQueen. The Cooler King. Yeah?"

"Let's hope not."

"Of course not, because Cooler King went back to cooler. So, you must be better than McQueen today. I change my mind. Now I give you odds a hundred to one. Our nosy friend again," Enzo paused, seeing the guard from yesterday. "Where do you guys want it?"

"Just not my face," Hopper sighed.

"Of course not. Must be pretty for your woman."

"She's not my woman," Hopper grumbled. Enzo pushed him on the floor, making the line pause.

Hopper stood up, Kristen right behind him. When they checked the ankle chains, yet again, it hurt like hell. But it was going to be worth it.

-

Working on the tracks for the last time felt amazing to Kristen.

Hopper explained the plan to Kristen earlier. She knew it was mental and very dangerous, but she knew it was the only choice they had.

Hopper broke his hammer on purpose, going over to get a new one. Once he approached the guard, he immediately drew his gun.

"ΠŸΡ€ΠΈΠ²Π΅Ρ‚! Π’Π΅Ρ€Π½ΠΈΡΡŒ! Π’Π΅Ρ€Π½ΠΈΡΡŒ!"

"Бломался... НС Ρ€Π°Π±ΠΎΡ‚Π°Π΅Ρ‚. НС Ρ€Π°Π±ΠΎΡ‚Π°Π΅Ρ‚."

"ΠžΡΡ‚Π°Π²Π°ΠΉΡΡ Ρ‚Π°ΠΌ."

The guard went into the storage room, going to get another hammer for Hopper. Kristen saw Hopper go inside and follow the guard, so she decided it was time for her to break hers, too.

She put it underneath the rail--the same thing Hopper did--and broke it. She staggered back a little, walking over to the shed. She hurried a little, making sure no one could see her.

Hopper whistled, making the guard turn around. He saw Hopper and Kristen stand by each other, then a wooden pole smacked him across the face. Kristen's doing.

He fell down, passing out. Kristen and Hopper sat down, groaning and feeling sick to their stomachs as they took their chains off of their feet. They both grunted in pain as the first chain slid off their foot.

"ΠšΡƒΠ΄Π° Π²Ρ‹ Π΅Π΄Π΅Ρ‚Π΅, Π°ΠΌΠ΅Ρ€ΠΈΠΊΠ°Π½Ρ†Ρ‹?"

Fuck. They were busted.

"Stand. Π’ΡΡ‚Π°Π²Π°Ρ‚ΡŒ! Π ΡƒΠΊΠΈ. Π ΡƒΠΊΠΈ!"

Hopper snapped around, hitting the guard with his chains across the face. Him and Hopper started fighting as Kristen started slowly moving things to block the door. Hopper made sure to get out of Kristen's way. But then, the guard set the gun off, alerting the other guards.

Then Hopper had a plan.

They moved the table to block the door, making sure the guards couldn't get to them right away. Hopper then lit the firecracker he saw.

He got out of the shed through the door in the roof, helping Kristen get out too. They jumped off of the roof, hurting their ankles a little, before running away as the shed blew up.

They jumped on a snow bike, managing to dodge the shots that guards fired at them. They got past the tree lines, slightly hearing the prisoners cheer for them.

-

They were quite far from the prison by now. They were almost at the church.

When they got there, they searched for the key. They found it and unlocked it, getting somewhere warm. They opened another pair of doors, closing and locking them. They saw boxes upon boxes in the church. Hopper grabbed a crow bar, opening a box. Inside it was jeans. He opened another one, and inside it was peanut butter. So much peanut butter.

They both opened a jar, eating some with their fingers since they didn't have anything else. Kristen felt like she could cry with happiness. They walked over to a bed, covering their feet with the blankets.

But that happiness didn't last over 5 minutes.

They heard dogs barking and guards. They ran to windows, seeing what they were dreading. The door busted open, guards flooding inside. Hopper let Kristen get to the window first, but because of all the guards, she didn't get far. They dragged her back down, kicking her torso and hitting her with their guns. They did the same thing with Hopper.

Kristen just knew she wasn't going back home anytime soon.
