chapter sixteen: like an actual wolf
1.08, lunatic

young Spencer Stilinski stood in the middle of the road, a car was on fire behind her. It was also flipped, and it sat on the roof. "Cole, you need to get out of here." Spencer pleaded, looking in her best friends eyes.

"No. Not until I know you're safe." The boy denies, holding Spencer face in his, and then pulling her into a hug. Someone walking up behind them scares them, "Cole you've gotta get out of here. Before they find out." Spencer's dad tells him.

"Come here." Cole says, looking at Spencer's father, slowly letting Spencer goes he walks over to Noah. Placing his hand on his head, he begins to look into Noah's eyes.

"You're going to forget tonight. Forget about it all, how Spencer asked if she was adopted, how I killed someone, and where the body is. All that happened tonight is I got into a crash and I'm dead." Cole tells him, Noah nods, suddenly forgetting about anything, sending him back to his sheriff car.

Cole watches as he does, taking careful steps to Spencer. "Alright, are you ready?" Cole asks, coming face to face with Spencer, she sighs. "Yea." She nods, looking down at her feet, looking back up, Cole caresses Spencer's face.

Cole sighs, he didn't want to do this, but he had to. For both their safeties. "Here, this is my burner, the only number on there is mine. If, or when you remember, call it. Or come track me down yourself." Cole laughs at this, he knew she probably would.

"You're going to forget tonight. Forget about me killing the boy, where the body is, what I am, finding out you're adopted, all you'll remember tonight is that I got into a car crash and I died." Cole basically repeats looking into Spencer's eyes.

Hearing the sirens, Cole places a kiss onto Spencer's cheek, slipping the burner phone in her pocket, and taking off, tears trailing down Spencer's face.

Spencer shoots up, she'd been having the same dream since the night in the school. Spencer laid in her bed, she wasn't ready for the new day that she's going to have to live through. Her bite had cleared up and she had somewhat noticed that she had gotten her werewolf side.

"You alive in there?" Noah asks, knocking on Spencer's door, "No." Spencer answers, her head buried into her pillow. "Not ready to go back to school?" Noah asks, opening his daughters door and looking at her.

"Nope." Spencer mutters, not moving from her spot, "You want to stay home another day?" Noah asks, Spencer shakes her head, "No." she tells him. It was a quick response, one Noah hadn't expected, normally she would take staying home any day. But not today.

Spencer knew if she stayed home, she'd go back to sleep, and she didn't want to have the dream, or memory? Again. For the fourth time in the last three days.

She had remembered making it home with a phone that night, but she couldn't remember where she had put it. Though Spencer just kept pushing it away, not bothering for the phone.

But what really stuck with her was the possibility Cole was still alive and running around somewhere, he had killed someone, that he's something and the fact that Spencer was adopted.

Spencer walked into the school building that had been shut down for three days. It was weird being back, so many things were running through her head. Like all of the new trauma from the school.

"Spence!" Veronica yells, her hands cupping her mouth to make her voice louder. Spencer smiles, turning to her friend, "Ronnie." She says, giggling at her friend.

The two hadn't seen each other in the three days, seeing as Noah had Spencer on lockdown. He was just worried about her. Veronica smiles, straightening her back and giving Spencer a quick hug, "I missed you girl." Veronica tells her, backing away from the hug.

"I missed you too." Spencer says truthfully, in all the chaotic mess, Veronica had become the most normal thing in her life, and she missed it. Feeling normal. Even just a tad bit.

"We need to do something tonight." Veronica says, but Spencer immediately turned her down, "What? Why?" Veronica asks, "Well, Wednesdays are normal you and Winters date night, and I wouldn't want to third wheel, and I may or may not have plans." Spencer tells her best friend.

Yeah, the plan was to stay at home and try not to kill someone. Or turn. However that works. Veronica smiles sadly at her friend, "Ok." She nods, "Another night. I promise." Spencer says.

"Deal." Veronica smiles, "But we're hanging out out this period." She says, and right as she says that the bell rings, "We have art." Spencer laughs, she didn't plan to have art first hour, but there was a small mix up, and Spencer ended up in art instead of robotics, which she didn't mind at all.

She had actually began to like art more than anything. It was now a not-so secret love. She was good at it to, but just feeling the brush move against the canvas calmed Spencer.

"And?" Veronica asks, a laugh. It wasn't even funny, it's just how they were. "It's not going to be that hard when the teacher already loves us." Spencer comments, "Yeah," Veronica nods, "she does love us doesn't she?" Veronica asks, looking over at Spencer, the two sharing a smile.

Spencer had made it home, she was silently freaking out. Stiles had already left for Scott's, but Spencer just told him she had a headache and he left, not asking to many questions. "Spence!" Noah calls, walking up the stairs, "Yes dad?" She asks, sticking her head out her door, looking down the hallway at him.

"I'm leaving. The doors are all locked, nothing to worry about. But if you get scared call me and I'll send someone to come and sit with you." Noah says, Spencer had never typically liked staying at home alone, this was actually the first time in a long while.

Normally she'd tag along with Stiles so when Noah would leave, she'd be out with Scott and Stiles. But there was a time where she'd stayed home for the night, not feeling well, though she ended up having a breakdown because every little sound had been scaring her.

"Yea, ok, thanks dad." Spencer nods, Noah smiles at his daughter, turning to head back downstairs, "Hey dad?" Spencer asks. The man in question turns around, looking back at her, "Yes, ginger?" He asks, "Be careful, okay?" She says, looking at him.

Noah smiles, "I always am." He tells her. Spencer smiles as she watches her dad leave her eyesight. Turning on her heels, she pushes the door shut, not hard enough to slam but hard enough to shut. She walks over to the window, watching as the Sheriff car leaves her driveway.

Spencer sighs of relief. Though she wasn't relieved, she was scared. Scared of what could happen tonight. To her, Noah, Stiles and Scott. And Derek. If he was alive or not.

Spencer felt like her body was on fire as she lets out cries of pain. Her whole body hurt, this definitely wasn't what Scott was feeling when he was turning. Spencer was trying to fight it, not wanting to let it in. But that was just making it worse.

Spencer quickly takes of her necklace, the metal burning her even more. Throwing the necklace to the floor, the pendant twirling around, showing the L on one side and the S on the other, before landing somewhere under Spencer's desk.

Spencer takes in a deep breathe, still trying to fight it, she looses that battle, and all the pain she had been trying to keep out huts her like a truck, but after a split second she doesn't feel anything anymore. No pain. No nothing. She felt at peace as she sat there.

Looking down at her hands, she screams. But that's not what comes out. It was a growl instead. She was a full on fucking wolf. How she had ended like this she didn't know. Scott hadn't ended out like this, and from what she had heard about Derek had hadn't either, so why had she?

Spencer ignores it feeling exhausted from the day and all of the pain she had just endured, Spencer climbs into her bed, hoping none of the white wolf hairs would be scattered across her bed in the morning.

She sighs, circling in the middle of the bed as a dog would, trying to get comfortable. Flopping down, Spencer had the perfect spot to look out the window and see the full moon on display.

Maybe next full moon she won't be as exhausted as this time, and she'll get to run free in the wild. Like an actual wolf.

SAMANTHA'S CORNER

Hey guys, so I just wanted to let you know about a little something that I've been planning for a couple days.

For all of the home in his arms fans that are reading this, that book is going to be a squeal to this one and Delilah and some new characters for both the books will be popping up in later chapters. And probably really soon.

Anyways, that's the update, also only a couple more chapters before the end of season 1! Yay!

Now, I'd like to ask if you guys liked this chapter? I enjoyed writing it. It was a happy little chapter, which will probably come to an end soon, there's going to be a lot of emotions, or none, in the next season. Also cannot wait to write season 2.

And I'm making a Vinnie hacker book and no one can stop me :)

Bye my lovelies! I hope you enjoyed the new chapter, and have a great and wonderful day or night!
