You aroused the following morning, your head was throbbing in anguish. You squinted your eyes due to the blinding sunlight crawling into the exposed window as you sighed.

You flipped aside in your sheets, setting your hand roughly against your forehead along with your eyes as you grabbed your phone to verify the time.

You groaned, realizing it was nearly past noon. You were glad it was at least a weekend so you bundled back up in your layers. You scrolled through your messages, noticing you had received dozens from separate friends.

You were overly confused, almost every message was concerning Floch. You glanced to the side realizing Mikasa was still not in bed. You frowned, opening up her messages.

You skimmed through the chat quickly. You read a couple of sentences however your headache was making it difficult to focus. You picked up something about needing to apologize to Mina which confused you even further.

You shut your phone off as you put your hand against your eyes, attempting to cancel out the sunlight.

You figured you somewhat blacked out considering the fact, you couldn't remember most things past entering Jean's party and drinking huge amounts of alcohol near a counter. Your mind had completely gone blurry after that point.

You still retained some memories you just couldn't positively tell if it was a reality or if it was just a dream.

You rarely drank because of this endless outcome. Not being able to identify what occurred during being intoxicated due to the large drinks that would cause memory loss.

You recalled slightly speaking to Floch since the alcohol hadn't fully kicked in after that everything went blank.

You unlocked your phone to reexamine whatever Mikasa had sent. You could sense your chest heavy as she informed you of what had occurred. You were horrified that it was a reality, primarily because you assumed it was some kind of blurry nightmare.

You moderately remembered Floch assuring you that Mina and he weren't dating, kissing him, and people staring.

You could feel your body grow heated from panic and embarrassment as you went to find Mina's contact. You wrote an immediate apology, feeling bad for what had happened.

You scrolled further into your messages, recognizing an unknown number that texted you late in the morning, the same individual that had asked if you were going to the party.

You already perceived who it was. Anger formed in your chest as you scanned the short message. Floch was trying to get a hold of you by asking if you both could meet up and talk things through.

But you didn't want to.

Before you could block his number, your phone began to vibrate with the same unknown number plastered against your screen. You huffed in surprise as you were hesitant to answer.

However, curiosity sprung into your thoughts on why he was calling and what he wanted to say. Your finger hovered on the accept button as you tapped it.

There was a second of silence until Floch's voice was revealed through the microphone. "Y/n?"

EREN'S POV~

Armin rested on the couch as I rummaged for something to eat. I picked up some chips from a cabinet as I went to go sit down near him. He was watching some dumb show I had no interest in but decided to watch anyway.

He greeted me with a pursed smile. We watched for about twenty minutes as I glanced at Armin who seemed completely sucked into the show. His focused eyes noticed my stare as he ripped his sights away from the screen.

"Eren?" Armin announced, completely breaking the silent atmosphere in the room. "I've heard things,"

I rose a brow at his weird statement as I waited for him to continue what he had to say however he didn't proceed. "Mm?" I hummed through a sigh.

"You have a tutor right?" He revealed as he met my startled eyes. I could feel my body temperature increase as I attempted to keep my expression blank.

I questioned if Y/n told him. No, she couldn't have, it'd be way too confusing to explain for the both of us. I couldn't tell Armin that I practically begged the person I always bad-mouthed to be my tutor.

I glanced to the side as I ventured to reduce my awkwardness so I opened my bag of chips. "I don't know what you're talking about?" I lied.

I didn't dare to look Armin in the eyes, knowing how bad of a liar I apparently was to him.

His lips curved into a sarcastic smile as he extended both his eyebrows. "It's nothing to be ashamed of Eren. It's normal to have a tutor," He paused for a moment. "Anyway so, tell me Eren. Who is your tutor?"

I put my chips aside as I faked a cough. "I still don't know what you're talking about," I mumbled. "Where did you get that misleading information from?"

Armin rolled his eyes to the side causing my body to tense. I already realized he knew everything but of course I was still going to try to lie it out and see where it would get me. He always knew everything and it alarmed something in my mind.

"It's weird because you always love talking about Y/n so negatively butβ€”"

"Can we talk about this later?" I disrupted, knowing Armin would question my actions but he continued to speak as If I hadn't just interrupted him.

"β€”I never knew you would go as far as asking her to be your tutor? You would go as far as spending hours with her even though you 'resent' her so much? Weird," He chuckled in between his statement, emphasizing his words in sarcasm. "And Connie told me,"

My brows furrowed in bewilderment on how Connie could've possibly known but I overlooked it as my lips parted. "I asked her 'cause you were busy. I would've asked youβ€”"

"Denial," Armin interrupted.

"What?"

"You're in denial," He repeated as my jaw clenched from all his confusing observations. I wanted to argue however before I was able to utter a word he spoke over me. "You also brought her back to her dorm last night. Not very hateful of you Eren,"

Huh? My eyes grew on how he knew that. I remained soundless for minutes staring at Armin with a creeped-out expression. He groaned at my silence as he shifted to stare at the TV in front of him.

"What I'm saying is," He began. "That maybe you don't hate her as much as you say you do. Is it really that hard to be on 'okay' terms with her?"

I hesitated for a moment. "I don't know maybe?"

Armin's blue eyes darted in my direction. "Damn, you sure are childish for a college student you know that right?" He sang as his head slightly tilted to obtain a reaction.

I sighed, taking slight offense to his words but somehow Armin was always right.

"I know," I mumbled as I ripped my sights apart from his.

The conversation was beginning to fade as Armin unpaused the show but before he rose the volume he said:

"I'm going to end this 'Y/n talk' now. I'll let you figure out your feelings on your own,"

Feelings? I scoffed at the word as I rose from the couch, neglecting Armin's statement. "I'm going for a walk at the park," I announced before shutting my dorm door behind me.

SECOND PERSON POV~

"Y/n?" The redhead said within the receiver. A sharp bitterness formed as you heard your name echo through your ears. "Y/n? are you there?" You heard his voice say again as your alarming thoughts soon broke aside.

You briefly sighed. "What do you want Floch?" You answered, attempting to stay as relaxed as possible.

His background was hard to make out. It sounded like wind however you couldn't tell what the rustling sound was.

"I'm sorry,"

You blinked at the sudden apology although just hearing it made you annoyed. Your tone grew firm as you began.

"Why are you apologizing to me, you idiot? If you had a brain you'd be apologizing to Mina," You huffed, slightly trailing off due to your unexpected hostility.Β

A continuous silence grew louder as your thumb hovered to the flashing red button. However, before you could end the call Floch's voice cracked through.

"I know and I will. Iβ€” I just wanted to speak to you first," He stammered. "What happened at the partyβ€”"

"Was a mistake," You interrupted.

"It was my mistake and I shouldn't haveβ€”"

"Lied? Kissed me while dating someone else? But you did," You snapped, frowning through your words. "You can't take back the past but you can try to make things right with Mina,"

"I want to make things right with you," Floch mumbled, his voice lingering off a bit.

You stared at the screen in disbelief. This wasn't about you. You didn't want it to be about you. It was about Mina. She deserved an apology from both of you.

"I don't," You whispered as you looked to the side to see Floch's notebook on a near table. You remembered Eren had given it back to you during your previous 'tutor' session.

You couldn't find a way to give Floch back his journal without facing him so you figured you'd just drop it off at a public area and let him retrieve it himself.

"Just listen to what I have to say,"

You disregarded his words as you jumped off your bed. "I'm dropping off your notebook at the park get it whenever I don't care," You stated. You could hear Floch say something but you hung up before he could finish his sentence.

As you got up you unintentionally bumped into your counter, causing a metal tone to fall on the ground below you. You crouched down to scan the object which seemed to be a ring.

An uncomfy sensation invaded your figure as you gawked at the ring in embarrassment. So that also wasn't a dream? You remembered Eren driving you to your dorm then laying next to you but you couldn't seem to remember what you had said to him or barely anything else.

The humiliating feeling only grew stronger as you pondered on what you could've possibly said to him. You soon pushed aside the feeling as you removed your last night dress, replacing it with a zip-up hoodie and sweat pants.

You shoved the ring in your pocket, worried Mikasa would return while you left and question why you had Eren's ring. You clutched Floch's journal in hand as you made your way to the park.

The park was mostly empty. It was quiet as the cold wind breezed through the trees. You found a noticeable wooden bench and laid the notebook on it as you stepped away.

You watched the distance as you decided to reflect on everything that happened. You sat on the bench where you had set Floch's belonging while you studied the benches in the far distance.

You noticed a tall figure strolling which appeared to be a guy. He sat down on one of the benches as you observed him. You couldn't make out his face but he soon set his grey hood down so you got a good look at his features.

Even though he was far away you could see Eren's teal green eyes scanning the park as if he was searching for someone. He tightly clutched his phone as he tapped it in impatience. His man bun was falling apart due to the windy weather.

You instantly got up from your seat, worried he'd notice you. However, you paused in your tracks as you patted your pocket, remembering you still had his stupid ring. You knew it would be awkward but giving it to him now would be better than meeting him later after last night occurred.

You took it out and set the silver metal object in your palm as you glanced at Eren. But before you stepped in his direction you regarded a girl walking towards him. It was the same girl you'd seen glaring at you on the last day of the museum trip.

Eren stood up when he saw her as she pulled him into a tight embrace onward with kissing his cheek. You rose at a brow at what you just witnessed as you slowly twisted around to walk away.

You figured you'd give it to him tomorrow in class.
