It was Antonio Madrigal's gift ceremony and everyone in town was invited, including her family of course.

Y/n was just helping the other villagers for the preparation, this day is means a lot to the Madrigals.

Today must go on perfectly, that's how Señora Alma would like to say since last gift ceremony was a flop.

No one in town dared not to talk about it. Even the kids didn't know about how Mirabel didn't get a gift until Dolores told the kids.

It was time for the ceremony. Everyone made their way to the LÀ Casa Madrigal. It always felt so lively with the kids adorable giggles and the music. Oh it was enchanting!

Y/n was standing just around the corner with her mama and her brother just around the corner, watching Isabela dance and giving out flower crowns.

Y/n and her mama fixed Mariano's hair to make him look representable to his future fiancé.

"Mama, may I look around?" y/n turned to ask her mother "sure mija, but don't wonder off too far" she warmly smiled at her daughter.

Y/n smiled at her and took a look around. The casita never fails to mesmerise the (h/c) hair.

Y/n decided to go outside to get some fresh air since the casita smells like roasted corn and wine.

She went to the backyard and sat on a bench as she collected her thoughts. Mariano was going to propose to the eldest grand daughter of Alma Madrigal.

A part of y/n hated that her big brother is gonna propose and get married soon. I mean, it's only the two of them. They didn't any have siblings and she literally spent her entire existence locking her self in her room.

Sure she made friends as a child but her papa wanted her to be a proper lady but she didn't mind. At first, she minded since she was a kid.

Her papa even wanted to fix a marriage for her but it was too much, said by her mother so he cancelled the plan. He realized that she should atleast find a boyfriend.

As she turned 15, she decided to be more...extroverted? So she talked to her brother about his interests and all. She would go out and walk around the town and meet new people.

She would also help Señora Jullieta on her catering at the plaza. Or help Pepa at the farm.

She's also good friends with Isabella. Ever since y/n started to go outside more often, she earned the nickname as 'Second most perfect child of encanto.'

She didn't mind, since it made her parents so happy.

"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be inside, y'know.. having fun?"

Her thoughts were cut off and she looked up to see the owner of the voice and only to be greeted by a beautiful Hazel eyes.

"I prefer being alone.." y/n muttered. "You should go inside Madrigal, it's your brother's ceremony so it would obviously make him happier if you would be there." y/n stood up from her sit and dusted her skirt. Her father once told her that when talking to people while your sitting, always stand up. It's a sign of respect.

"I won't, not until you go inside bonita. And besides, the ceremony is about to start. You wouldn't want to miss that." Camilo offered his hand and Y/n gladly took. Never thought he was a gentleman.

"So.. hermosa? How's life treating you?" Camilo striked up a conversation. "Life's been great, no difficulties and such." she said.

Camilo would be lying if he said that her voice didn't sound so... beautiful.

It was just a short phrase, and Camilo wanted to hear more of her. He knew about her. Though they aren't close which made him hurt.

Camilo had this huge crush on her since they were kids. They aren't really close but they would talk about chores or their family. Even though they aren't, Camilo likes her.

Camilo is good with just admiring her from afar. He can just watch her tell stories to the kids at the town's fountain. He would sometimes join of course, since it's his job to make people (especially kids) smile.

Let's just say... He's head over heels.

"I gotta go hermosa, like you said.. I have to go support my hermano." Though he wanted to spend more time with her, y/n's right. It would be cowardly of him to just leave his brother being a nervous-wreck.

"Sure Madrigal.." she softly smiled at him and it made his heart beat so much faster than it was just by holding her hand.

"See you around señorita~" He took her hand and placed a kiss on it.
