5. Beautiful

Lisa sighed with content as she ran her hands through her hair, sweeping it back with a swift motion, smoothening her shirt, the expensive pink fabric crinkled from running around.

"That was fun" She said smiling as they walked out of the store.

Jennie chuckled as she nodded, interlacing her fingers with Lisa as they again started walking down the street.

That's when it suddenly hit Lisa that she was still in the middle of no where.

"Jennie...I did enjoy spending time with you...but how do I get in contact with my friends again? I mean..I literally don't know this place at all" Lisa said, shaking her head with a sad expression.

"Right...do you have a family to go back to?" Jennie asked softly as a small smile crossed her face.

"Well, I live here in a shared apartment with my two other friends, but my parents are back in Thailand so technically yeah.."

"Oh, I see.. let's find our way out then.." Lisa didn't notice the slight tinge of disappointment in the other's tone.

"What about your family Jennie? Aren't they worried you're out so late?" Lisa asked as the cool air caressed her face.

"Nah, I ain't going back to them."

"Where do they live..?"

Jennie turned to face her, eyes glistening in the soft moonlight.

"I don't... have a family"

Lisa's lips parted slightly as she took in the unexpected piece of information.

"Oh..I... I'm sorry" she said, diverting her gaze to the ground as she kicked a small pebble out of the way.

Jennie laughed again. The soft, melodious laughter filling Lisa's ears as she felt herself smiling again.

"There's a lot you don't know my love."

Lisa gave her a confused look but Jennie skipped forward giggling as the breeze made her hair fly.

"Lisa?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you still afraid?"

She smiled at the question.

"Of course not."

Jennie's smile upon hearing that sentence could compete the sun.

Right then Lisa felt her phone buzz in her pocket. She pulled it out and saw her roomate's number flashing on the screen.

Her eyes lit up. She looked at Jennie who smiled at her as she answered the call.

"Chaeyoung?"

"Lalisa!! I've been trying to reach you since like half an hour!"

Lisa felt a sense of comfort as the famaliar sweet voice made its way into her ear.

"Don't worry, I'm fine. Where are you?"

"More like where are YOU? You took off from the club and didn't even show up! It's almost been an hour."

"Just...an hour?!"

"Yes? Now send me your location so I can instruct the cab driver. Jisoo is so worried." Chaeyoung said in an irritated but worried tone.

Lisa stopped walking, her eyes widening once she realised she was finally standing at the end of the lonely alley and could now clearly see the main road.

She felt like she hadn't see this in forever.

The colourful city lit up in front of her. People walking around, laughing and the sound of music playing nearby wrapped around her.

"Hello? Lisa are you there?"

"Ye-yeah, I'm.. I'm at the main road."

"Send me your location silly, there are like 4 main roads here, we're in Itaewon not Busan."

"Okay, give me a second."

Lisa lowered her phone down and ended the call, hurriedly sending her friend the location, managing to see the message get delivered before her phone switched off.

She turned around a bright smile crossing her face.

"Jennie! My friend founβ€”"

She stopped short. Where was the other girl? Forget the girl, where was the whole alleyway?

She found herself staring at a wall where a mere 5 minutes ago was an opening to a pathway.

The pathway where she met Jennie, the pathway with the mysterious unguarded shop.
