This chapter will contain spoilers to the Riku vs Kuu Haikyuu OVA. If you don't want to receive spoilers, skip this chapter ^^

Almost a week has gone by, you have known Kenma for a while now. You still can't believe he invited you to watch him play volley ball against Fukurodani! You had a friend from there, Bokuto was his name maybe? He knew your cousin Hinata, so it was normal for you to see each other since they liked to hang out together.

Your heart starts racing as you think of seeing Kenma again. You get out of bed feeling nervous, but you could't let that feeling take control of you! You stand up and run to the bathroom to take a bath. You grab your Nekoma school hoddie and a cute high waist jeans short. You also grab your rainbow socks and your [favorite color] shoes.

You finally finish bathing. Feeling better, you decide to text Kenma

You check the time, 06:44. "It's ok, I still have a lot of time!" You start talking to yourself to feel less nervous, "Things will be fine ahaha I'm sure his team is not scary at all! ahaha.... ha...." Your voice slowly fades away and that weird feeling hit you again. "I'm scared." You fell to the floor trying to calm down. "It's going to be ok... Everything will be fine! It's going to be a good day!" You stand up slowly and walk to your closed stretching out your hand to grab a black backpack with white shiny stars that was in the back of your closet. You check the time again, 06:51. You still had a lot of time so you decided to pack your backpack with snacks and water, "What if the team needs it?" You smile to yourself in the mirror still a little scared.

You are finally done with your backpack, you check the time one last time, 07:13. You start getting ready to leave the house.

You open the door, leaving a note one the dinner table to let your mom know where you were going. You step outside feeling a cold breeze.

As you walk down the street to school you meet a familiar face. It was the two colored hair boy, Kenma! "Hey Kenma!" You wave your hand towards him. "Oh hi y/n" He smiles warmly. You stop next to him and grab a water bottle from your bag, "Here!' You hand him the bottle "Do your best" You wink at him. He grabs the bottle and his cheeks turn a light pink.

You finally reach the school gate, some of the team was already there. A short light brown haired boy, a very, very tall grey haired boy and Kuroo. "Yaku, Lev, this is y/n. Kuroo already knows her" Kenma points at you "Lev be nice to her" Kenma frowns. You smile shyly at them and then they walk in your direction. "What the hell am I supposed to do" you panic "Hi I'm Morisuke Yaku, nice to meet you y/n! I play as the libero" He stretches out his hand for a handshake. You answer doing the same thing. "Oh and I'm Lev Haiba! The future ace of Nekoma and I play as the middle blocker!" He smiles proudly putting his thumb in his chest like if he was a super hero. You reach out for your bag to offer them some water or snacks. "D-Do you want anything?" You ask them. "No thank you" Yaku smiles "Yes, thank you y/n!" Lev grabs a water bottle and some snacks.

Some minutes pass and you start hearing other team members arrive "Who is that?" A boy that looked a dollar store version of Tanaka with a weird blond low mowhak points at you. "I think that's the girl Kenma mentioned!" A boy with dark blue-purplish hair with cat-like eyes answers. "She's not a 'THAT' Yamamoto! That's y/n!" Lev shouts from behind"Let me introduce you all" Kuroo steps in. "Everyone, this is y/n. She will be watching our game today because Kenma invited her" Everyone suddenly looks at Kenma with a smirk. "Ohhh~ Kenma I didn't know you liked this type of girl~" Says the low blond mowhak boy Kenma disgusted at him looks away not even answering. "y/n this is Taketora Yamamoto, and this is Shohei Fukunaga" Kuroo points at them. "Hi y/n! I hope we can be friends!" Fukunaga smiles "y/n are you single?" Says Yamamoto with hearts almost appearing in his eyes. "Hahaha I actually am Yamamoto-san" You laugh shyly. "Wait what. I never thought I would get this far... Do you wanna be my girlfriend y/n?! I'm begging you, let's go out someday-" Yaku appears from behind pinching his ear "Ok that's enough buddy" Yaku pulls him by his ear to the corner and starts lecturing him. You laugh. "This isn't that bad..." You smile.

The whole team arrived shortly after. Everyone was very nice to you but you were still a little shy. You all enter the bus and you sit next to the Kenma, since he was the only one you actually properly knew. You stare at the window while Kenma played on his Nintendo next to you.

You waited one hour in the car until you finally arrived! The game was about to begin. You followed Akane to the area where the non-players could sit. Over there you met a beautiful tall woman with very light brown-greyish hair. "Oh hi! You must be y/n right?" She said in a sweet but exited voice "Nice to meet you!" She gives you a tight hug. "Do you see that boy over there? The very tall one, that's Lev my brother! I came to see him play today! Do your best Levochka!" She warmly smiles to where Lev was standing, he waves. "That's very nice of you!" You smile. You three sit down and the game starts.

The opposite team starts with the ball. A dark brown hair Fukurodani member serves the ball and Yaku receives it. The ball flies to Kenma and he quickly sets it to Kuroo scoring a point. It is Yamamoto's time to serve the ball. He quickly serves it to the other team and the ball lends on a boy with light grey hair. The ball flies to Akaashi, Bokuto's friend and he sets it to Bokuto, and with a strong blow he is able to break Nekoma's defence launching the ball towards us, in the bleachers, fortunately Akane is able to catch it. Fukurodani receives a point.

Some minutes pass and Bokuto is going to attack again. Yaku noticing what is going to happen moves his body to a place where he will be able to receive the ball. The successfully receives the ball and it is thrown to Kenma, that quickly sets it to Nobuyuki Kai and he scores a point.

Bokuto once again tries to score a point but is blocked by Kuroo and Kenma. He tries once again, but this time, succeeding. Again Bokuto attacks and Yaku is able to receive it. Kenma gets the ball and throws it to Fukunaga that hits the ball and throws it into the opposite team's side of the court. Akaashi received the ball throwing it to Bokuto again. Bokuto positions himself to do a line shot but Kenma quickly understands it positioning himself to receive it but unfortunately fails causing the ball to go to the area where people were standing, Fukurodani receives a point. Everything going on in your mind was that volleyball was one complicated game.

There was a short break and Nekoma was deciding something but you could not hear it from where you were but one thing you were sure of, was that everyone was listening to Kenma's words very carefully.

The game starts again and the ball os served from Nekoma's side of the court. A black haired boy tries attacking with the ball, his hair was similar to Bokuto's but it was black. He attacks and Kuroo is able to defend it well getting the ball to Nekoma's side without a problem. Yamamoto gets the ball throwing it to Kenma and Kenma setting it to Fukunaga. A Fukurodani member receives the ball and tosses it to the libero that proceeds to give the ball to Bokuto. He tries scoring a point over Kenma's head in the defense but Kuroo quickly ajusts and is able to defend it, giving Nekoma a point.

The same black haired boy throws the ball and Yamamoto receives it, throwing it to Kenma, and Kenma setting it to Fukunaga again but the libero is able to stop the ball giving it to Akaashi that throws it to Bokuto but he isn't able to find a free spot on the court to hit it to, causing him to throw it outside of the court giving Nekoma a point.

"You can do it Levochka!" You hear Lev's sister yell. The game starts again and Kuroo is the one serving. A boy from Fukurodani is able to receive it but the ball goes back to Nekoma's side giving them an easy throw. Yamamoto receives it giving it to Lev, that very enthusiastically tries hitting it but fails do do it properly, the ball crossed the net though. A member from Fukurodani receives it and gives it back to Nekoma's side. Lev tries hitting it again but end up failing and no one was able to save that, giving Fukurodani a point.

Nekoma asks for a break and you notice Kenma walking Lev's way after talking to the coach. Lev seems scared so you try imagining what Kenma was saying, you giggle thinking about it.

The game starts once again, Bokuto from Fukurodani has the ball. He serves it to Nekoma's side but make it almost impossible for Kai to receive it. The ball flies around the court into Lev's arm giving him a chance to score. He jumps up and hits the ball but isn't able to score. The ball flies to Fukurodani's side where someone hits the ball causing it to go back to Nekoma's side and hit the floor before anyone touches it. Fukurodani gets a point.

The game starts once again and Kenma sets the ball to Lev and he successfully scores a point. The ball goes back to Lev and he tries to serves it to Fukurodani's side of the court but fails miserably making the ball his the net, giving Fukurodani a point. Fukurodani won this set.

The game starts to slowly repeat itself, Nekoma surely was getting better but so was Fukurodani. In the end Fukurodani took this set too, causing Nekoma to loose.

"Aww man! I really wanted us to win!" Akane cries, "Right? We were doing so well!" Lev's sister answers "At least it was a fun game! I'm sure everyone enjoyed it!" You try smiling to make them feel better. "Thank you y/n. I'm sure they all enjoyed it!" Akane smiles, thanking you. You three were now leaving the bleachers to meet with the team.

As you start to approach the team the had recently lost you notice that everyone was feeling down, Kenma was acting normal but you knew there was something wrong. You wanted to cheer everyone up but you didn't know what do until you remembered that sugar makes you happy and you had Skittles in your bag! You grab the Skittles and open the wrapper telling everyone to close their eyes and show you their hands. They all did as you told them to and you quickly placed 3 Skittles on each of the team member's hands. Since everyone had their eyes close you pulled Kenma's hand and hid him in the building telling him to stay quiet for a second. They all opened their eyes and were surprised by your sudden act of kindness. You smiled towards them and they all thanked you "Hey where's Kenma" You ask, acting like you didn't shove him inside the building a second ago. "Maybe he went to the bathroom" Kuroo answers. "I'll go get him! You all can go on ahead" And before anyone could say anything you ran inside the building to find a very confused Kenma eating Skittles. "I'm sorry for that haha..." You rub the back of your neck. "Ok, I'll make this fast before they leave without us..." You take a deep breath. And get close to him "I really enjoyed the game, thank you for inviting me." You wrap your arms around his body giving him no time to react. He's body felt warm... You quickly let him go and run outside not looking back. Kenma just stood there, not understanding what just happened. He placed his hands where you hugged him and smiled.

You got onto the bus with the team, sitting again next to the window. Kenma entered the bus after you and walked to where you were and sat next to you. He didn't bother to use his Nintendo. He just sat there until he eventually fell asleep on your shoulder. You were sitting alone with Kenma on the last 4 seats, so there was no one there to look or judge you. So you slowly started to get tired and gave in, you rested your head on Kenma's and you were both asleep the entire ride back home.

im just tired so even if someone said 'truck' rn i would laugh.
