"Augh! Zayn!" You scream, laughing as you splash him back. Zayn had come up behind you, picked you up, and twirled you into the air only to land fully covered in the water.

"Afraid to get a little wet?" He chuckles with one eyebrow raised, swimming close back to you as the salt water drips down his handsome face.

Rolling your eyes, you turn away and swim as fast as you can while Zayn follows you.

"Stop! Stop!" You laugh when he starts to tickle your feet after he catches up to you.

Zayn finally stops and this time you don't swim away when he swims close to you again. Staring into his face, you trace the path of a water drop down his forehead that curves gently into the side of his mouth that was lifted up gently into a half smile. You love that smile.

Placing your arms around his neck, you and Zayn float in the ocean water together bobbing up and over the small waves enjoying the warm weather and the cool water.

Feeling his lips on the side of your head you smile as the warmth and butterflies inside you explode into fireworks.

"Love you," he whispers in his accent pulling away. Opening your eyes, you see Zayn swimming with his face to you as he heads back up onto the beach.

Once you both reach the sand, Zayn scoops under you and carries you piggy back style back up to your towels as you are squealing and laughing as he runs, holding tight around his neck.

"Hahaha thank you, Zayn," you smile at him after he sets you down.

"Anything for my angel," he grins back as you both settle down on your towels right next to each other.

"I'm really happy I get to see my beautiful girlfriend again," Zayn says while touching your nose with the tip of his finger, making you blush.

"I've missed you," you say softly, staring into his chocolate swirled eyes. Zayn was away to see his mum for the week while you stayed home and continued your summer job at the ice cream restaurant.

Under the hot sun, you and Zayn chat for hours about everything while you both build sandcastles and walk hand in hand along the water's edge towards the stunning sunset.

"You know, it's really funny how no matter how short or long we are away from each other," says Zayn as he rubs your hand gently, "we always continue again like no time has gone once we are together again."

"I don't think it's funny," you say as you lean into Zayn's side. "I think it's wonderful."

Turning to face you, Zayn holds you close to him around your waist.

"I love you," he smiles leaning down to kiss you softly on your forehead, "and there is nothing on this Earth that will change that because distance means nothing when we have each other."
