Yellowfang padded up to Brightflower, her steps urgent. She had noticed that she had been putting on weight and that something was moving in her belly. Brightflower looked up from her meal and when she saw the look on her daughters face she sat up.

   "What's wrong Yellowfang?"She asked, Yellowfang took a deep breath and explained how she had been getting bigger and how something had been moving in her belly."What's wrong with me?"She finished, Brightflower smiled with joy and mewed."Your having kits Yellowfang."

Yellowfnag took a step back in shock, her have kits? This would change everything! 

Yellowfang smiled and turned at the sound of the patrol coming back, with Raggedpelt at the front with Foxheart next to him chattering to him through the mouse in her mouth. But Raggedpelt rolled his eyes and set his prey down on the prey pile. Yellowfang ran up to him with pride and joy, Foxheart narrowed her eyes at her when she came over, Raggedpelt smiled at Yellowfang when she ran up.

"Raggedpelt something wonderful has come to me."She mewed, the clan gathered around them curious what the deputy's mate had to say."I'm expecting kits!"She said with pride, Raggedpelt blinked for a moment them looked down at Yellowfangs swollen belly."Really?" He breathed, Yellowfang nodded a smile filling her face. Raggedpelt smiled and pulled her to his side, nosing her cheek and entwining his tail with hers. At this news, Foxheart frowned and scowled at Yellowfang like she was a bug on her paw, but the clan cheered in joy.
