(The next day)

Aesop's POV:

"Darling you need to wake up or you are going to be late..." came a voice

"h..huh?" i mumbled as i sleepily opened my eyes "Who are you?"

"What do you mean who am i." smiled the figure standing above me "Its me Dear, Joseph"

"Dear?" i thought. "and who is Joseph." I was too tired to open my eyes enough to see exactly who the person was but from what i could make out it looked almost like a hunter. "It cant be "him", hunters aren't allowed in the survivors mansion." shaking the thought away, i closed my eyes again.

"Dear?"

"Dear you need to wake up!"

"Dear!"

i tried to fall back to sleep but i was then violently shaken awake again.

"Aesop?"

"Aesop you need to wake up!"

"Aesop!"

I opened my eyes again but this time it was Naib and Eli looming over me. So it was a dream when i had heard someone call me dear. I knew it...

"Aesop get your ass out of bed everyone is already downstairs waiting to eat breakfast." Naib said hitting me round the head with a pillow.

"Emily sent us up here to get you but you wouldn't wake up even after we had called your name multiple times... Is everything alright?" Eli asked, taking the pillow out Naib's hands.

"O...Oh Sorry i will come down now." i mumbled as i held the blanket over my mouth so they couldn't see i wasn't wearing my mask. I never take my mask off around anyone. Even when its time to eat, i will take my food upstairs to eat by myself. I used to wear a mask just while doing embalming to protect myself from the fumes but now i wont take it off unless its needed.

"Well you better hurry up and get downstairs then before Emily is moody with us all day." Naib said heading back downstairs.

Eli placed the pillow back down where Naib took it from and then left as well. I got out of bed and got ready as quickly as i could because i didn't want to put Emily in a mood. Seeing as Emily is the main healer in our team she cares for us like a mother so no one likes when shes angry because its like being told off by your parents even though most of us are full grown adults. I grabbed my case and made my way down the stairs. 

"Here you go Aesop." Emma smiled, handing me my plate, before even giving me chance to sit down. 

"T...thanks ." I whispered, while trying not to drop my things. I turned around to walk upstairs again so i could eat my food but Emily interrupted me.

"Aesop wait." she said and i stopped walking. "That hunter you played against yesterday, his name was Joseph. I found a book with everyone's records and talents in so i figured it out for you." 

"O..Oh um thank you." i said as i continued back to my room.

"Joseph?" so that was his name i thought. Was it him in my dream? No it couldn't have been i must have misheard it, i was half asleep after all.

I had just finished my food when Helena had come upstairs to inform me i was in the next 1v4  match. That match didn't start for about another 30 minutes so i was doing okay for time. 

Matches could go on for as long as a hour sometimes, it takes a while to decode ciphers and if you have no one who is a specialist in decoding it can take a lot of time. The maps are also quite big so it could take a good 5 minuets to move from cipher to cipher normally. 

I went over to my desk and started checking my embalming equipment, so i wouldn't have to hurry at the last minuet ,when i suddenly felt all dizzy. It was like i couldn't think straight, my mind was twirling. Was it something in the food? Was i ill? Suddenly all i could focus my mind on was that photographer, Joseph... 

"When he called me dear it confused me so much that now i cant stop thinking about it." i thought. " so if he explains it was a miss understanding it will stop... right?"

i got out a pen and paper and decided to write him a letter:

Dear Joseph (The Photographer),

Please meet me in the survivors garden at 3am by the swinging bench. I will open the back door for you and everyone should be asleep so i don't think you will be caught. I know this is strange coming from me, a survivor, but i just really needed to clear some things up. I understand if you don't come because we aren't supposed to interact with each other  and it could be dangerous ,but i really hope you do.  Thank you for letting me escape in our match.

I wrote his name on the envelope and sealed it with a wax stamp, before putting it in my case. I planned on giving it to him in our next match so now all i had to do was wait till then.

I had roughly 5 minuets before the match started so i headed downstairs to see who i would be playing with:

Aesop Carl: The Embalmer

Helena Adams: The minds eye

Tracy Reznik: The mechanic

Mike Morton: The Acrobat

"They are all okay...." i thought. "Well besides mike, he tries to hard to be my friend... and he talks too much." Ill be fine if i just avoid him the whole match, my main priority is to see if ill be up against Joseph again or not. 

I double checked my embalming equipment again and then sat down in the lobby. Everyone came in shortly after i did and then the match began. My vision then went blurry and i felt light headed before i woke up into the games match like usual. 

"Lakeside village"

"Damn, I hate this map." i sighed.

It takes forever to move from cipher to cipher and its hard to kite around as well. I rolled my eyes before i ran to the nearest cipher and began decoding.

Joseph's POV:

Lakeside village has to be one of my least favourite maps... Its one of the larger maps so it just makes my job more annoying than it already is. I walked to my closest camera and took a photo of the map, i figured most of the survivors would have started decoding by now so i should be able to terror shock them. My only problem was that the embalmer was in this match... I got no sleep last night and its all because he reminds me so much of Claude. There is no way ill be able to hit him this time so ill just have to avoid him and then let him escape again. Walking over to the closest cipher in the camera world i saw the still image of the acrobat decoding...

I hate the acrobat.

He is one of the survivors who will stun you and then emote in front of your face while you cant do anything and i hate it. He talks to much and is always smiling even when i chair him, its annoying. 

(A/N: No hate to mike mains i love you guys i just don't think Joseph would like him because he is jealous that mike would smile even when in the most pain <3)

I exited the camera world and swung my sword, Just as i thought the acrobat automatically fell to the floor. Tying him to balloons, i then walked over to a chair and tied him into it.

"THE HUNTER IS NEAR ME!" Mike yelled to the other survivors

Does he not ever be quiet? he cant even decode a cipher quietly and now he is yelling, great! Luckily for me the rocket chair was right in front of my camera so i went back inside the camera world to block out the noise of him spraying loads of graffiti on the floor. The Mechanic then ran over to rescue him, she succeeded but i then terrorshocked them both while she was healing him. Sometimes i do wonder if these survivors have common sense, she started healing him right in front of the chair she just saved him from??? However their stupidity does make my job quicker and easier so i'm not complaining.

Aesop POV:

"Get out of here!" Tracy yelled to me as she got sent back to the manor

"Sorry Tracy, but i need to find Joseph first." I mumbled under my breath

I hadn't seen him all match but i saw his cameras, as i was decoding, so i know he is here. I began by walking to the exit gates, making sure to unlock them while pulling down pallets and jumping over walls so it alerted him of my location, however he wasn't at either of them. I walked to every cipher, went in and out of every locker, checked the basement and checked the dungeon, but still no Joseph. 

"Where are you Joseph....?" I sighed

Then I noticed the camera nearest me had turned on and opened the photo world. He's got to be in there, he just has to be! I closed my eyes and walked through the picture. 

"Woah..." I whispered. The photo world seemed exactly the same as the normal world but it was all in black and white; it somehow seemed more peaceful too. It didn't take long to find Joseph after i had stepped through, He sat silently, on a bench, looking down at his sword.

"J..joseph...?" I said quietly, holding the letter in my hand "That's your name r...right?"

Joseph looked up at me and nodded. "yes it is..." "Can i help you dear?" 

"A..aesop..." I whispered, still looking down.

"Huh?"

"M..My name is Aesop... Aesop Carl."

"Oh? well then, Aesop dear, can i help you? Joseph smiled softly

"U..uh this is for you..." I mumbled handing him the letter 

"ah.. thank you dear..."

I was about to turn around and leave, when joseph patted the space next to him on the bench. 

"Please sit with me, I wont bite i promise." He smirked looking up at me.

I stumbled over to the bench and sat next to him, looking down into my lap. Joseph sat quietly next to me as he read the letter.

"Ah i see..." Joseph said after he finished reading. "Thank you for the offer bu-"

"please..." I mumbled looking up at him "I haven't been able to sleep thinking about it, please, i just want a few minutes to clear some things up..."

Joseph stared back into my eyes. His eyes, they where as saddening and blue as last time. They made me feel at peace, like i was floating along at sea with nothing to worry about ever.

"I'm sorry... you don't have to come if you don't want to, i shouldn't force you.." 

"Ill be there, don't worry dear." Joseph smiled lifting up my chin with his finger.

His hands are cold, cold but soft and comforting. I softly smiled back at him before he walked me to the dungeon.
