"Here you go bro." Tap said, handing me a bag of food before plopping down on the couch beside me with a bag of his own "Ain't really know what you wanted so I just grabbed you up like three different sandwiches."

"Appreciate it broskiii." I said digging through the bag pulling out a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich "Ain't even hear you leave out this morning."

"Shid I left out bout 6:15... had to get my early morning workout in before the game tonight."

"Why you ain't wake me?"

"You know how you get on game day... ain't wanna disturb your rest."

"Yeah you did right.." I said laughing "Probably would've punched you dead in yo shit."

"I would've decked your ass right back in yours too Lil nigga."

"Yeah aight..." I said "You talk to Lay this morning?"

"Nawl.. knowing her, she probably hung over."

"Oh. What she get into last night?"

"Baby had a appearance at compound & Jayda invited her out." He said shrugging his shoulder "Nothing to crazy."

"Dess was with them too?" I asked

"Yeah. But you knew that already.. that's why you ask me bout Lay & keep playing Dess story over & over? You tryna figure out what she do last night?"

"Shut up." I said exiting out of instagram before locking my phone back "I was scrolling through & it just so happen to pop up again."

"Nigga stop the cap, that ain't how Instagram work." He laughed digging into his food "You really be on some stalking type shit when it comes to her.."

"Nawl." I said biting into a piece of bacon "You talk to her though?" I asked after a brief moment of silence

"Who?"

"Dess."

"I chopped it up for a little while with her yesterday when she was with Lay.. Why? She ain't hit you?"

"Nawl."

"Y'all beefing or something?" He asked

"Not necessarily beefing.. but I think I done fucked up with her."

"What make you say that?"

"I told you how she had been acting weird with me since we got back from South Carolina."

"Yeah."

"Well she pulled me to the side at the friendmas thing to give me my Christmas gift.. I asked her why she was being distance.. long story short she basically told me she felt like we should fall back from each other because she catching feelings for me."

"Word? What you say?"

"Nothing."

"What you mean nothing?" He asked "You know you like her too Nigga."

"I do."

"First step is admitting it.. proud of you boy."

"I didn't admit that shit to her though. I just stood there, she said to say something & I asked her what did she want me to say... then I told her she was right about us falling back from each other."

"Ja what the fuck."

"I know man.... I'm fucked up bout her too skiii. I can't seem to get her off my mind for shit... it's just something about her."

"Something like what?"

"She different.. this shit feels different with her. She the only girl who I can sit & have a deep ass conversation about anything with, she challenge my mind, she listens to me, she believes in me even when I don't be believing in myself half of the time. She the first person on my mind when I wake up.. & the last person I wanna talk to before I lay down... & I know it's wrong because I'm in a relationship with Taylor.. but things with Dess just seem so right & easy.. she my peace, no matter what kinda day I'm having I can always count on her to make it better."

"I knew it was something between y'all... but I didn't know it was this deep."

"It's deep.. I got a whole album with nothing but random ass pictures of her, I got a whole section in my notes of things she done said to me about herself so I won't forget.. Her favorite wing flavors, her favorite flowers, her Starbucks order.. Dream date, everything."

"Oh... You got it bad Ja. Who soft now?" He asked as I flicked him off "What about Taylor though?"

"Ion know." I said running my hand down my face "I like Tay, she cool."

"You just gave a whole 4 page essay on your feelings for Dess.. but all you can say about your girlfriend is that she cool." He laughed shaking his head "I was finna say you gotta choose but the choice is already obvious."

"Yeah.. but ion wanna hurt Taylor & honestly I'm scared to move forward with Dess."

"Scared? Scared of what?"

"Actually falling in love with her."

"Congrats on winning... You played a good game tonight." Taylor said as we sat inside her car outside of my apartment building "Hate I missed it but my hair appointment ran over."

"You good." I said running my hand down my face "I gotta go in here & finish packing. I'm leaving out for home first thing in the morning."

"You need any help?"

"Nawl."

"What's wrong?" She asked "You looking like you just lost your bestfriend or something. You good?"

"I'm cool.. I just got alot of shit on my mind right now."

"Alot of shit like what." She asked seeming a little annoyed

"Just some shit I gotta deal with."

"You always do that."

"That.. shut me out. How do you expect us to be in a relationship when I don't even know what's going on with you half of the time... what is it?"

"I'm tryna figure out how to say this without hurting your feelings cause I really do care about you."

"What you mean by that?" She asked "Just say it."

"I don't think us being in a relationship is working out."

"Why?" She asked hearing the sound of her voice crack making me feel bad

"I feel like we vibed better when we were just friends Tay.. & to be completely honest with you I've caught feelings for somebody else & it's not fair to you for me to keep leading you on.... I."

"Who is she?" She interrupted

"Who is who?"

"The girl you've caught feelings & wanna leave me for.. Ja please don't play dumb.... It's Destiny isn't it... you've caught feelings for Destiny." She asked after seconds of us just sitting there

"Yeah.." I admitted

"I figured. That whole friends bullshit was just an act."

"This whole time I been asking you about this girl & you been assuring me that I didn't have nothing to worry about only for me to turn around & have something to worry about."

"It's not even like that.. you think I was expecting to fall for her when I was already with you.. I couldn't prevent that shit.. it literally just happened."

"As friends right."

"Unfortunately for you we're going to be more than that." She said

"I'm pregnant Ja."
