CHAPTER TWO

"I may not always be there with you, but I'll always be there for you."

Namjoon blinked. Wait what?

Worldwide handsome?

No doubt this boy was good looking, but Namjoon had no clue what he was talking about. Being awkward and introvert, Namjoon stood there not knowing what to say.

"Are you going to say something? You did ask me for an idea." The boy said.

Namjoon's eyes widened and he coughed awkwardly.

"I'm sorry but I don't think I can write about you. You are really handsome, but I don't know the first thing about you." Namjoon said sheepishly narrowing his eyes at the ground.

"I'm Kim Seokjin." The boy introduced himself. "Now you know something about me."

Namjoon opened his mouth to say something when he was interrupted by a boy shouting, "Jin hyung, food's ready!"

Namjoon recognized the boy as the boy from earlier who was knocking on Seokjin's door.

"Well, see you around Kim Namjoon." The boy waved and shut the door.

Namjoon stood there for a few more seconds before turning and heading into his apartment. He immediately collapsed onto his bed and sighed. Not only was the introduction awkward, but he still didn't have an ideas about what to write about.

And then Namjoon paused. The boy - Kim Seokjin knew his name?! He called him Kim Namjoon so obviously he knew who he was.

Namjoon's eyes widened and he shoved his face into his pillow, embarrassed. If the boy knew who he was, that meant the boy had to have read one of his books, or something along the lines of that.

And here Namjoon was, asking the guy what to write about when Namjoon was known for writing books quickly, and the books were amazing. He hardly ever has writer's block at all.

Namjoon groaned and slammed his face against his pillow again when he heard his phone buzz.

Namjoon flipped over and pulled his phone out from his pocket. He glanced at the text message he got from his friends.

Your Hope: Joon, when did u leave?!

NamjoON: When you guys were too busy chatting with each other to notice I left.

Yoongles: You could have said something.

NamjoON: It's not like you guys would have fucking cared anyways.

Yoongles: Yes we would have, you're our friend Namjoon. You didn't invite us out for dinner for no reason did you?

NamjoON: Maybe I just wanted some company, but too bad you guys were too busy to notice that.

Your Hope: Namjoon we're sorry but you should have just joined our conversation

NamjoON: Whatever.

Namjoon slammed his phone down onto his bed frustrated at the two boys. No one understood how he felt, no one understood how lonely he felt and now his two best friends were neglecting him.

Or maybe Namjoon was just overreacting. He didn't know, he didn't care anymore either. He just wanted to sleep. Namjoon stripped down to his boxers and threw on an old t-shirt. He plugged his phone in quickly and muted it seeing as he received more text messages from Yoongi and Hoseok.

Namjoon went to turn off the lights when he heard a knock on his door. Namjoon frowned wondering who it was, and then he realized it might be Yoongi and Hoseok. Not wanting to deal with the two, Namjoon turned off the lights and climbed into his bed.

He expected there to be more knocks on his door, but was dumbfounded when he didn't hear rapid knocks against his door. It was unlike Yoongi and Hoseok to knock once and then leave, they were very persistent - especially Hoseok.

Namjoon frowned. Maybe his friends really didn't care about him anymore.

Namjoon didn't think another thought, instead he just rolled over and closed his eyes, drifting off to a peaceful sleep.

Namjoon woke up early in the morning around seven. Since Namjoon was an author, he stayed at home and wrote books, he didn't have to wake up early in the morning and head to work. He worked whenever he wanted to.

It was great since this time Namjoon didn't have a deadline to worry about, since he didn't quite work with a company. Namjoon just worked with an editor and a publisher.

Namjoon groaned and stretched. He went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth and made sure his hair looked okay. Then Namjoon went to his wardrobe and threw some things on, he assumed he wasn't going to go out today so he threw on something more at home.

It was quite chilly in his apartment, so he threw on a sweater and some pants and a beanie to top it off.

Namjoon went into his kitchen and started to make coffee, he didn't eat breakfast at all, he usually just grabbed a drink of some sort and then went straight into writing. This time wasn't going to be different at all, the only thing Namjoon was worried about though, was if he was going to be able to write.

Namjoon took his cup of coffee and went into his office, he put the coffee down on his desk and grabbed his pencil. A lot of writers often used their computer to create stories, Namjoon did the same but he always liked to plan out his stories on paper first.

That's how he always wrote stories, and nothing was going to change from then.

Namjoon hated change, even if some were for the good.

Namjoon began to scribble something down when he heard a knock on the door and then keys jingling.

Namjoon realized it must have been Yoongi or Hoseok, or both since they both had keys into his apartment.

That was when Namjoon realized the knock on the door he had heard yesterday, definitely wasn't from either of them. If they wanted to come in, they definitely could have.

Then who was knocking on his door yesterday?

"Namjoon-ah?" He heard a voice call out.

Yoongi.

Namjoon didn't reply, still a bit angry from yesterday's dinner.

Namjoon quickly slammed his earbuds into his ears and pretended like he was listening to music, scribbling down some notes.

He heard the door open but didn't look up, pretending not to notice.

He felt a tap on his shoulder but he ignored it, narrowing his eyes at his paper, focusing on what he was writing.

"Namjoon-ah, I know you're not actually listening to music. Besides that, you're scribbling on your paper." Namjoon looked up to see Yoongi sighing at him.

Namjoon glared at Yoongi and threw his earbuds on the desk angrily.

"What do you want, Yoongi-hyung?" Namjoon narrowed his eyes at Yoongi who leaned against Namjoon's desk.

"I just wanted to apologize for what happened yesterday. I didn't realize we were leaving you out, and on behalf of Hoseok and I, I just wanted to say sorry." Yoongi replied, looking directly into Namjoon's eyes.

Namjoon glanced downwards and didn't respond.

"I know you didn't mean it Yoongi-hyung, but I just feel left out with you guys a lot. It's like I'm third wheeling." Namjoon sighed.

"Hoseok and I aren't dating." Yoongi defended himself almost immediately.

"Why isn't Hobi here anyways?" Namjoon asked looking up at Yoongi who shrugged.

"He had to go to work." Yoongi said. "We both don't have easy lives like you do Namjoon, sitting at home and writing stories. It seems like you're having a lot of trouble this time."

Namjoon frowned and nodded.

"Did you take the advice I told you yesterday?" Yoongi asked smirking.

"To talk to the neighbour? Yeah I did." Namjoon replied, Yoongi's eyes widening.

"Wait, you actually talked to him? I didn't think you'd actually take it considering you aren't really brave - and very socially awkward."

Namjoon choked when he heard Yoongi talk so high about him. He didn't respond and just gave Yoongi a sideway glance and used his hand to tell Yoongi to leave.

"Whatever. I'm going to go back to sleep. I don't have work today so." With that Yoongi left, giving Namjoon a small smile which he returned politely.

He was still angry though.

Namjoon turned around to his paper and started to think. Kim Seokjin. That's the ONLY thing Namjoon knew about him. He was interested and wanted to learn more, but he wasn't sure how.

Next thing he knew though, his office door was opened and Kim Seokjin was standing right there.

"Uh hey, you're friend - Yoongi I think it was? He told me you wanted to see me or something like that and he pushed me out of my own house into yours." The boy stood there awkwardly, giving Namjoon an awkward grin.

Namjoon's eyes widened in surprise as he spun his chair around to see the boy standing right there - and today he looked even more handsome than yesterday.

Is that even possible?

"Uh, uh, wait Yoongi-hyung told you what?" Namjoon asked scratching the back of his head and trying not to glance at the handsome boy.

"He told me - ah never mind. I'll just go back to my own apartment, it's fine."

"No wait! Stay please - I need you - I mean, I need someone..." Namjoon trailed off panicking at what he just said.

Seokjin didn't seem to make a big deal out of it.

"Sure, I'll stay." He replied turning around and looking at Namjoon's mess of a desk.

"Thanks, uh.."

"Just call me Jin-hyung." Jin said flashing his teeth at Namjoon who blushed.

"Thanks Jin-hyung. You don't have to stay if you don't want to though." Namjoon fiddled with his fingers nervously. He was acting like a stereotypical schoolgirl crushing on an older boy and he hated it.

"No I don't mind. You still have trouble writing that story? Worldwide handsome is here to save the day!"

Namjoon looked up again.

What the hell is up with this guy and worldwide handsome?
