About 8 years ago, 10 children were taken. From families, streets, off playgrounds, orphanages. They were given a promise, 10 kids given hope. Sent to Satellite Labs, a facility which stood for justice and the paranormal.

These 10 kids were taken, promised freedom after testing. Only 1 survived, Y/n. Injected by a serum, used to create paranormals.

It's been a while since this, and I, Y/n, am the only survivor. This is the result, my burden.

Chapter 1: 9/10

Y/n walked out of their room, combing through their hair before school. Looking at themself in the mirror they combed their hair, brushing through each strand to get the night's bed hair away for school.

Today was Y/n's first mission. They sighed, glaring at their face before walking out of the restroom into their room. They walked out to greet their "mom" and "dad".

"8 years of training for this shit." Y/n scoffed under their breath. They pulled on a quick outfit and shoes, grabbing their backpack they went to walk out the door. They were stopped by a hand grabbing at their backpack, pulling Y/n back.

"Fail and I'll kill you myself." He said; it was Y/n's "dad". Not biological of course, when Y/n completed enough training they sent them to a fake family. One to hide amongst society as a wealthy family.

Y/n slapped his hand away and walked out the door, not looking back as he cursed Y/n's name before walking back in the house. His foul reaction faded as his "real" daughter walked up to him spreading her hands out to be picked up.

Y/n snarled and walked towards school.

Tommy woke up to his alarm blaring at him. He sleepily opened his phone and widened his eyes as he squinted at the bright screen.

"SHIT I'M GOING TO BE LATE!!!" He yelled, leaping up and trying to throw on his clothes. He stumbled through his room to brush his teeth and comb his messy blond hair. He noticed a wing poke out of the back of his shirt. He pressed it back with his hand and grabbed his backpack.

He ran out of his room with his half open backpack.

"Good morning sleepy head." Tommy's brother chuckled. Tommy ran towards the door, flinging it open.

"Bye Will, love you!!!" He yelled before bolting out of the house and running towards school.

Y/n walked into the school with their head down staring at their shoes. Tommy looked behind him, stumbling to look for Tubbo. A good friend of his since 4th grade.

He wasn't looking where he was going and clashed into Y/n, dropping all of his books he had in hand. Y/n quickly caught the computer before it hit the ground, but couldn't save the books.

"Shit! I'm so sorry!!'' He apologized. Although he was impressed, he was too embarrassed to say anything. Y/n sighed and bent down to help him with his books. He nervously got back up and combed his hair through his fingers, his face flushed red with embarrassment. Y/n noticed how tall he was, and his features.

No one could deny he wasn't pretty, but Yn had duties. After handing him the last book they tried to walk away, but was stopped by the boy suddenly speaking.

(F/E/N: NO ONE CAN DENY IT. THAT'S WHY YOU GUYS ARE HERE. PRETTY BOI BUT ALSO SWEARING CHILD, WHICH ONE WILL WIN?)

"Oh hey, to make it up to you, would you like to grab lunch with me after school?" He nervously asked. Y/n looked him up and down. To see if he was serious, they was taken aback by this but couldn't find themself to say no.

"Sure." Y/n smiled before walking away. Tommy just stared in awe as they walked away, but his train of thought was cut off by Tubbo.

"Hey big man!! Who was that?" Tubbo asked. Tommy shrugged and walked away with Tubbo to their next class.

Tommy walked into his science class, the teacher greeting each student hello.

"Good evening Mr. Simons." The teacher politely said. Tommy smiled and walked in. And he turned to see everyone who caught his eye. He saw the girl from earlier.

He noticed the seating chart and saw his name right next to Y/n's. He walked over and sat next to them.

"Oh you're the girl from earlier?" He asked. Y/n looked towards him.

"Yes, the problem is I go by they/them." Y/n responded. Tommy panicked.

(F/E/N: me when I accidentally mess up pronouns. Cuz then I feel super guilty 😃)

"Oh I'm sorry I shouldn't have assumed!!" He apologized, Y/n looked at him and gave him a comforting smile.

"Don't worry, I get that a lot." Y/n sighed. He awkwardly sat as the teacher walked in and began teaching.

"Alright class, I know it's very early in the morning but we do have a project. You will have 3 weeks to work on it. And you will have partners." The teacher announced. Tommy groaned and looked at Y/n.

"I hate this class." He grumbled. Y/n held back a chuckle trying to keep their cold expression. But they couldn't help but smile.

(F/E/N: OKAY IT SAID 'BRUH THEY COULDN'T HELP BUT SMILE' AND OMG IT WAS FUNNY)

"See, you do smile." Tommy chuckled. Y/n turned their head away from him, hiding their blush. Tommy laughed.

"Ok so your partners will be your left elbow partner." Tommy looked to his left and noticed it was Y/n.

"Partners?" He asked, Y/n turned towards him.

"Sure."

After the bell rang Y/n grabbed their backpack and quickly got up to leave. Tommy quickly caught up with them.

"Hey, I never thanked you earlier for catching my computer." Tommy said. Y/n looked at him.

"Oh no problem." Y/n said. Tommy walked with Y/n as they passed through the halls.

"What's your next period?" Tommy asked.

"It's PE, yours?" Y/n asked. Tommy was surprised that they actually initiated the conversation.

"Yeah we have that period together too." Tommy said.

"Cool, I'll see you then. I have to go change." Y/n said. Tommy nodded and watched as they waved while walking towards the locker rooms. He waved back but was stopped by Tubbo.

"Come on, we have PE." Tubbo said, dragging Tommy. He nodded and followed him to the lockers.
