Part 10

The teacher in charge was red in anger. But she controlled herself and acted pitifully.

Her eyes turned droopy. "Headmistress, I told you how problematic Sarawat is. He unnecessarily keeps speaking up in class and is always criticizing me. On the other hand, Phukong is not disciplined and he even ran out of school yesterday. They both are problematic children. Children of a single parent and that to a father that's why they grew up undisciplined. I just wanted to teach them discipline, that's why I prohibited them from eating because they were being naughty."

Sarawat's eyes were filled with fear and surprise. As bad words were spoken against him.

At such a tender age feeling accusing eyes of others were shattering his confidence and someone accusing his father while telling him that he was naughty made his eyes wet.

Phukong was sadder when he saw tears in Sarawat's eyes.

He screamed "Don't cry!! I won't eat but you don't cry........"

"But it's not dada's fault that I am naughty!! (sob....sob)" tears just ran down his soft skin.

Watching his brother cry broke Phukong's heart he ran and hugged Sarawat.

"I won't eat, you don't cry. We will find one more papa than Miss won't blame dada."

Phukong's stomach made a growling sound while Sarawat cried some more while muttering words.

"I will sit quietly.."Sarawat sobbed some more while Phukong patted his head. "Miss shouldn't say bad words for dada.."

Phukong eyes glittered with tears as Sarawat won't stop crying "Don't cry!! Dada said crying makes us ugly.."

Phukong blamed himself more when he saw Sarawat like this. Everything started when he complained to Sarawat that he was hungry. He blamed himself more. As guilt took over him all he said that "I won't eat but you don't cry!! It's my fault...Phu was naughty not you."

Sarawat nodded in disapproval in his while crying and telling "my fault!!"

Mean whose eye furrowed after the teacher had complained about the two children was taken aback but the things that followed. Headmistress was also embarrassed at what had been happening. She was still in the dilemma of whether to discredit her own staff or just blame the two innocent souls for misbehaving.

Mean had to step up the scene looking at the two kids fighting for each other while consoling each other.

He was not a busybody as far as he remembered. Never had he taken sides. Even when his mother was having an affair he didn't take a stand. He just let it pass as if it was a hot gossip around the neighborhood. But today his feet moved on their own and he embarrassed the two kids.

His eyes moved to the teacher in charge who couldn't figure out how the situation turned out like this. All she wanted to do today was to dress up and impress the person coming here with her loving image of a teacher. She had heard the headmistress saying that someone important from the organization was coming today. Someone with power. Everything has gone south now. She just had a fantasy to date someone rich.

"You are fired!!" Mean said in a firm voice.

The teacher gasped in surprise. After knowing that the person who came today was a chairman all she wanted to do was to show how hard she tried to be a good teacher while the students weren't being cooperative at all. Everything would have been resolved if the headmistress got the point.

"Ma'am.." She looked at the headmistress with a shocked expression.

Before the headmistress could say anything Max spoke up first.

" It's the teacher's responsibility to take care of children when they are inside the school. But you didn't even care about the student's whereabouts yesterday and keep blaming the student for running out. In the first place, how could you let the student reach the main gate of the school? You are the teacher in charge and you still blame a minor."

She again wanted to refute but Max spoke again.

"You keep making comments about single parents that alone could land this school for a lawsuit for prejudice."

Max rolled his eyes and spoke again " Then you made the children go hungry because they were naughty." Max just half laughed and then glared at the woman. "That is child abuse!!"

Max turned to the headmistress and gave an intimidating look "I think this is the first thing you need to handle Madam."

The headmistress stepped back in surprise while nodding her head. She knew the female teacher was wrong here but she didn't want to wash the dirty laundry in front of the guest.

All the while when Max was telling the teacher Mean was confused about how to comfort the two little boys. He really wanted to comfort them but was put in an awkward position about how to do so. So he just patted the back of the two kids who were hugging each other while one was sobbing while the other was comforting him as small tears ran down his chubby cheeks.

"Don't cry, both of you. Everything is okay now.." Mean tried to comfort them in his awkward voice. Thinking if he was doing it right. But when comforted Phu started crying more as if his strength to control himself was over now and his hungry stomach made him cry more.

Sarwat had toned down a little bit when he saw his brother crying he started to cry again. Both the twins tightened their hug and cried their eyes out.

"Don't cry!!" Sarawat spoke again.

"No you don't cry!!" now sniffing his nose Phu spoke.

Mean furrowed his eyebrows and couldn't think about what to do next.

He has a nephew even if the boy was a teenager, a bit cranky and riding on the adolescent hormone. In his conclusion, the only thing that made the child happy was money packets.

"If you don't cry...I will give you money.." Mean bashing offered the bribe.

Phu cried more and Sarawat followed along.

When Max heard what his boss had said he felt like vomiting blood. He knew his boss's EQ for understanding and sympathizing with others is low but it was already a big shock that he would offer money to a five-year-old to stop crying. If the child was 8 and 9 and could understand the importance of money then it was still understandable.

Max got down on his knees and hugged both the children. While patting them and running circles on their back.

"This uncle has fought back bad people for you!! Now cool down. You said crying makes you ugly. Do you want to be ugly!!"

Phu nodded his head in disapproval.

"But Phu is hungry and Phu is sad that he(sob...sob) can't eat.(sob...) chicken.."

"No!! Let's go and eat now then....this uncle will buy you anything you want to eat."

Sarawat calmed down when he saw Phu stopped crying while listening to food.

"Don't take food from the strangers we will eat lunch dada has packed for us." Sarawat sniffed his nose while speaking.

Headmistress had told the teacher in charge to leave which left while stomping her feet. She stepped up and told a teacher from the next class who was the one which Max and Mean had met yesterday. She took both kids inside and washed their faces. A girl from their class has even fainted due to hunger. The other teacher had to take charge of the section and made every child inside the class.

Mean nodded them to proceed. Mean couldn't help but ask what had happened here and why such a teacher was employed in the first place.

"Well, we are short on funds that's why we hired a teacher with a low pay grade.."

Mean turned to Max who nodded in approval.

"Hmmm..." Mean sighed.

" we will take care of that.." Max replied.

Max turned to Mean and gave a sly smile.

Headmistress stepped back, clearly reading between the lines.

"You are worth the salary provided to you..."

"So that I have lifted your mood then you should smile while we click the photos.."

There were a total of 15 people who came with Mean and Max. Six of them were his bodyguard while the remaining were the staff members. They all were gaping in surprise while watching what had happened. They have never expected two people out of everyone to behave out of the ordinary. Firstly Mean being a busy body and secondly Max smiling in front of everyone.

Mean lips curled up listening to Max.

"I have been housing a wolf dressed in sheep clothing."

Mean felt someone was staring at him. He turned around just to find a small solitude trying his best to hide behind the bushes. He wanted to laugh watching that but controlled his urge.

A small figure appeared out of the bushes practically embarrassed but still trying to keep his pride.

He walked straight toward Mean as if acting like an adult. The little human eyes were a little bit red but he was calm now.

"Thank you!!" Sarawat vomited those words with great strength and immediately felt weak.

Mean had this urge to tease the little boy.

"What did you say I didn't hear??"

Sarawat knitted his eyebrows and his face turned red.

"Nothing!!" He was ready to run when Phu came from behind, his cheeks had turned deep pink maybe from the heat.

"Sarawat said thank you for believing us." Phu held Sarawat's hand.

Mean couldn't help but ogle on the little boy's behavior. While Sarawat was still a little bit sad but the other boy looked like nothing had happened.

"Handsome uncle!! Miss told us to invite you for lunch with us.."

He dragged Mean hand with all his strength while enthusiastically telling him how good his father cooks.
