~Kevin's POV~

“Guys this is Josh. Josh meet the guys.” I said standing next to him.

Tommy stood up and glared at him. Seriously, what was his problem> He was acting like a little kid who just got his favourite toy taken away.

“Hi guys.” Josh said smiling.

It was Ash who broke the tension. “Hey, I’m Ashley. Nice to meet you. I saw you last night at the party last night.”

“Uhh yea, that’s where I met Kevin.”

“I thought I told you that you couldn’t come in.” Tommy said ignoring the rest of us.

“Yea, but this isn’t your house. You can’t say who’s allowed in or out.”

“It’s my boyfriend’s house and I happen to live here.”

Josh’s eyes widened. “Y-you live here?”

“That’s right pal.” Tommy came and stood directly in front of Josh. When the hell did he grow so tall? They were almost eye to eye. “You better watch your back dude.”

Tommy walked to the stairs. “Where are you going?” I asked.

“I’m going upstairs for a second. Chad, come here.” he said motioning to Chad.

Chad walked after and Tommy said something that caused him to stiffen. I gestured for Josh and Ash to follow me into the lounge. We each took a seat and made ourselves comfortable.

“You want anything to eat or drink?” Ash asked.

“Yea, a soda is cool.” She nodded and w2ent to the kitchen.

“So Kevin, how long have you and Tom been together?”

“Just a little over a month.” I replied proudly.

“That’s not too long.”

“I know but we’ve been best friends since elementary.”

“I heard relationships between friends usually don’t last very long.”

I scowled at him. “What are you trying to say Joshua?”

“No, no. I didn’t mean anything by it. I just heard it a lot.” He said raising his hands in front of him to show innocence.

“You shouldn’t always believe what you hear.” Lucky for him Chad walked into the room.

“So, what are we talking about?” he asked sitting next to me.

“Uhh, we were just talking about Josh being a surfer and stuff.”

“So you’re here for vacation then?” Chad asked.

“Yep, and I’m definitely enjoying it so far.” Josh said winking at me. What the hell was that?

I tried to ignore Josh’s wink but it was all I could think about. He knows I have Tommy; he shouldn’t be doing shit like that. Tommy came downstairs ten minutes later just as Ash was bringing the snacks out. We played video games and laughed while Tommy just gave Josh death glares. Chad and Ash snuck away now and then for sneak out make-out sessions. We were interrupted by Josh’s phone ringing.

“Hello?”

There was some mumbling on the other side of the line.

“Okay I’m on my way.” He turned to face us. “Guys sorry but I’ve got to go.”

“Uhh okay then.” I said. “I’ll walk you out.”

That comment earned me a glare from Tommy but I ignored it. I was sick of his childish attitude.

Josh and I were walking down the pathway to his car. “So Tommy’s really protective over you huh?”

“Huh?” I asked.

“Tommy. He seems to watch you and everything around you.”

“Yea, he’s always been that way.”

“Don’t you ever get sick of it?” we were now at Josh’s car. I leaned against the passenger door.

“W-what do you mean?”

“Don’t you ever get tired of him worrying about you so much?”

“Uhh no, not really. It shows me that he really cares.” I said feeling a bit uneasy.

“I wonder if he ever worries that someone else might come and steal you away from him.”

I looked him directly in the eyes. “If they knew how angry he gets, they wouldn’t dare.”

“Well let’s say they don’t know, then what?”

“I don’t know what you mean.”

“Well let me show you then.” He leaned down so fast I couldn’t stop him. He kissed me on my lips; although his lips were soft they didn’t feel right. I tried pushing him off me but I was too weak. This caused me to knee him in the stomach.

“What the fuck are you doing?” it was Tommy. He was rushing from the door over to me.

“I was just showing Kevin that there are better options out there.”

“You son of a-” Tommy said before throwing a punch right at Josh. It connected with his jaw. He punched Tommy too and Tommy punched him close to his eye.

“I warned you last night to stay away from him.” Tommy said. He threw several punched at Josh. All I heard from Josh’s side was grunts because of pain.

“Tommy, let him go.” I said trying to pull him off Josh.

“What the fuck?” he said putting a foot on Josh’s back so he couldn’t get up.

“Let him go. Josh I don’t want you to come back here. You’ve caused enough trouble as it is.” I said pulling Tommy away.

“Yea pal, step a foot in my city again and you’ll be sleeping with the fishes.”

Josh got up glanced at all of us and got in his car. He sped off. Despite Tommy’s threats some people took them for granted. I sure hope Josh learnt his lesson.

“Yea, the bad guy’s gone!” Ash said jumping up and down.

We all gave her quizzical looks.

“What? I knew what was going on. So, how about we have a foursome.”

“What!” we all said in horror.

“Haha. Got you.” She said laughing. “No but really, we can order pizza and watch some movies. Chad and Tommy can get the beer.”

I’m not your servant. Why do I have to fetch the beer?” Tommy said.

“Chad’s going with you. Come on. It’s clear that you guys and parties should not mix so we bring the party to us. Well the four of us at least.”

The guys left and Ash and I went inside and started watching the movies.

“So, Josh wanted you all to himself huh?” she said after we finished the first movie.

“Yea, I saw some signs but I ignored them.” I said putting some popcorn in my mouth.

“Tommy told me about him this morning. We didn’t think he’d come here though. I guess that’s why Tommy reacted the way he did.”

“Oh shit. I was so stupid. I thought he was just acting childish. But whatever, it’s sorted out now.” she laughed and threw some popcorn at me. This ended up in a whole popcorn fight.

“Guys what are you doing?” Chad said walking in on us.

I gave him a sheepish grin. “Uhh playing pop-ball?”

“Very funny. You guys can clean this up yourselves.” He said putting two six-packs on the table. Tommy came in after him with two boxes of pizza.

“Great, food. I’m starved.”

“Yea me too.” Ash said grabbing a piece of pepperoni pizza.

We ended up watching movies till sunrise the next morning. I fell asleep on the couch but not before I pushed Chad off. I was still laughing before I drifted off to dreamland.
