No ones POV

Donnie sat and watched  (y/n) until she finally took herself in.  He saw her lights turn off and all went still.  He sat for a while longer watching her window, wishing he could be laying next to her, holding her.  He sighs deeply.  'What am I gonna do?'  He asks himself as he stands.  He takes one more look over to (y/n)'s window before he turns around to head home.  Once there Donnie went straight to his room, and threw himself on the bed.  He didn't even bother removing his pad's and straps.  He just lay there thinking.  

The next day Mikey who is often thought of as the most nieve of the four turtles was the first to notice that there was something up with Donnie

Mikey's POV

'Dude, did you sleep at all last night?'  I ask my genius older brother handing him a coffee.  He just looks up from the table and looks at me with sad eyes.  'A little'  he said.  'This is getting out of hand dude, you need to sort this guy out once and for all!'  Donnie just nods 'Yeah, Mikey but how?'  I look down at my sleep deprived brother.  'I dunno Dude...... Maybe we need to pull April in, she might have an idea.'

Your POV

I wake up feeling groggy.  I rub my eyes, they feel sore from last night.  'Oh yeah'  I think.  As I remember the reason for my sore eyes.  And with that they begin to fill again.  I look around me, at my apartment, the place I had come to call home.  The home I might need to leave. ' What am I gonna do?  What if Pete decides to stay here in the city?  No, he wouldn't.  Would he?'  I make coffee and sit on the couch cradling my head in my hands.  I sit like that for a while, I take a sip from my now cold mug of coffee, 'Bleh' I  say putting it back on the table.  Just then my phone beeped.  I look at the screen to see it's April.

A; Hey, you home?

You; Yeah?

A; Oh good, come open the door then

'Wha..?'  I think, looking over at the door.  'She's not, is she?'  I walk over to the door and look through the peephole, and loe and behold there she is.  'Ahhhh crud!'  I say under my breathe.  And open the door.

'Hey, to what do I owe the pleasure?'  I say trying to sound ok, forcing a smile.  She looks at me, her eyes widen filled with concern.  'You look like shit babe'  'Wow!'  I say, ' no beating around the bush with you is there?'  I ask with an unamused glare.  'What are friends for?'  She says and walks in.  'Coffee?'  I ask as I close the door behind her.  'Please'  She says.  I head over to the kitchen and pour two fresh mugs of coffee and join April at the table.  

I look down, not really in the mood for guests.  And really not feeling that talkative.  'Mikey text me earlier, Donnie's not had a great night, and by the looks of it, neither have you?'  I look at her.  'Is he ok?'  I ask feeling guilty, I know this is all because of me.  She looks up 'He's worried about you, and what this Pete is planning.'  I clench my fist.  'Yeah, I am as well.  I'm worried he will go to the authorities if he works out that Donnie isn't in costume.  I'm worried he might decide to stay here in New York, Im worried im gonna have to leave.  For the sake of Donnie and his family.'  I throw my hands in the air, I  can feel the stress building up inside me.  I think i'm gonna hyperventilate.  'Whowa, calm down (y/n),  your not going anywhere!'  She says pulling me into a hug.  I hug back, I needed it.

Aprils POV

I suggest (y/n) goes to have a shower and then we'll head to the lair and figure out what to do together.  While she's in there I text Mikey

A; Hey Mikey.  We need to figure this out ASAP!! (Y/n) is going so far as considering leaving the city in case Pete reports your existence to the authorities.  She's worried he will decide to stay here.  

M; We can't let that happen!!  She was gonna be my sister in law!!

A; WHAT!!?  Donnie was gonna propose?!   

M; Well, no, but i'm working on that, heh.

I face palm

A; One thing at a time Mikey!!

M; Yeah yeah! Ok I get it!  Just get here, i'll go speak to D!

A; Ok, see you soon!

(Y/n) emerges from the bathroom, I head over to her and drag her to her bedroom, she sits on the bed as I rummage through her  wardrobe.  'Haven't you got anything other than black or purple?'  I ask.  'Grey?'  She responds.  I chuckle, and chuck her some black jeans and a purple hoodie, 'c'mon, the guys are waiting for us'  She looks at me  'They are?'  I smile at her, 'Yeah, we're gonna work this out together!  (Y/n) your not alone, you have us now.'  

Your POV

I feel my heart warm a little   'April is right.  I've spent so long dealing with things on my own, it's kind of become a habit.  I forget I have friends now, I have someone to fight alongside with now.'  I look at her with a new optimism.  'Ok, lets go!! I say grabbing my stuff!  'Alright!'  April says and we head to the lair.  I can't wait to see Donnie, I need to hug him!  

Donnie's POV

'Hey D, April and (y/n) are on their way here!'  I call out.  'R-really?  She's coming here?'  I ask surprised.  'Yeah dude, April managed to talk her round.'  'Talk her round?'  I ask.  'Yeah, she was so worried about Pete reporting our existence to someone she was considering leaving.  To keep us safe!'  My eyes widen and my heart drops, 'She was considering WHAT!!??'  I question.  'Yeah dude, to keep US safe though!  She doesn't WANT to go!'  Mikey says.  'THAT IS NOT THE POINT MIKEY!'  I shout at him.  I start to pace again holding my head.  'No, no, no, she can't leave!  She can't go, not now I've found her!  Oh shell what am I gonna do!?'  Im panicking!! 'Dude! Calm your shell!'  Mikey shouts at me and slaps me across the back of the head!  'HEY!'  I say!  But Mikey is already running away, only to run straight into Master Splinter.

'My son's what is wrong, I heard it said that (y/n) is considering leaving the city to protect our family.  What has happened?'  'Ugh Hi Sensei'  Mikey says.  'Oh shell'  I think as me and Mikey follow Master Splinter into the dojo and sit to explain the current situation.  'And now  (y/n) thinks she has to leave again, because of this Pete!'  I finish.  Our father sit's in front of us thinking.  'Hmmmmmmm.......  My sons, I have said before that (y/n) is a special girl and this has proven me correct.  She is prepared to sacrifice her happiness for our safety.'  He looks at me and Mikey. 'We must find a way to prevent this from happening.  It is clear to me that she does indeed belong with us, in our family.'  

I smile when I hear my father say this.  'What do we do Sensei?'  I ask him.  'When (y/n) arrives send her to me. I shall speak with her.'   I stand and bow to my father 'Hai Sensei'  And me and Mikey walk out of the the dojo and into the kitchen where we await April and (y/n)'s arrival.  As soon as I hear footsteps approach the lair, I jump up and run towards the door where I meet (y/n) and April.  I stand there and look at her, I can see she's been crying, no matter how she tries to hide it.  I give her a sad look and scoop her up in my arms.  'Don't go'  I whisper to her and I hold her close.  

Your POV

'Don't go'  He whispers to me as he pulls me in close.  My eyes widen and fill with fresh tears  when I hear this, my heart breaking at the sadness in his voice, all caused by me!  I bury my face in the crook of his neck and let out a silent sob.  We stand there for a few minute's.  'Master Splinter wants to see you'  He said quietly.  I pull away to look at him 'W-why?'  I ask nervous.  'Am I in trouble?'  He looks at me and shaking his head with a faint smile.  'No, quite the opposite I think'  'Oh?  Well, Ok.'  I say.  We walk hand in hand toward the Dojo.  We wait at the door.  'Sensi?'  Donnie says.  '(Y/n) is here.'  Donnie says.  'Enter my son, (y/n) hello my dear.'  'Hello Master Splinter'  I say as we both kneel in front of him.  'Master Splinter, before anything else, I want to apologize for the problems my predicament has caused within your family.  I understand if you do not wish me to return here.'  Both Donnie and Master Splinter look at me with shock in their eyes.   I look down at the floor sadly.  Almost like i'm awaiting judgement.  

'My child, I do not cast out my family members, especially when they are going though such torment.'  I look up.  'Wha?  F-family member..?' I stutter.  'Yes my child, I have heard how you are prepared sacrifice  your own happiness for the safety of our family.  But now,  you are a part of this family.  You are loved very much'  As he says this his eyes move to Donnie.  'Michelangelo even refers to you as his sister'  Splinter smiles at this.   'My child, I consider you as part of my family.  And as a family we will find a solution to this Pete business together.'  I honestly don't know what to say here.  Im part of a family again.  I look up at Master Splinter, then to Donnie speechless.  Donnie holds out his hand, smiling at me.  I smile back and take it.  'It fills my heart with joy to see my son happy, and I have you to thank for that (y/n).'  I look away from mine and Donnies entwined hands and back to Master Splinter.  'Thank you Sensei'  Splinter looks at me and nods.  'Now if you will excuse me my son, my daughter, it is time for my meditation.'  Both me and Donnie stand and bow our heads as Splinter makes his way to his room.  Then Donnie wraps his arms around me and cups my cheek with the other hand, and kisses me deeply.  I return the kiss without hesitation wrapping my arms around his neck.  

Donnie's POV

'I wanna tell her I love her'  I think, and just as I open my mouth to say the words. I gulp them back down.  'No, now's not the time'  I think as I hold her close to me.  After a while we head back to the kitchen where everyone is waiting for us.  'So' Leo says 'We have an ex boyfriend to deal with?'  He says with a smirk.  (Y/n) sighs.  'Yeah,but I don't know how, I mean, it's not like he's trying to get me back.'  She says.  'He's engaged to be married, so I really don't know what his deal is.'  'Oh?'  Leo says, 'that is weird.'  'But he did claim to still care for you'  Mikey piped up.  'Well people can still care for someone without having a romantic interest Mikey, Pete and I have known each other for over a decade.  We were once really close friends'  'Uh'  Mikey said thoughtfully.

'P'haps a steak out?'  Raph suggested 'do ya know where he's staying?'  'No fraid not, but he has to be close by, i've run into him three times in the street recently.'  (Y/n) said.  'Yeah, twice  by the coffee house and once outside that restaurant. They are only a few blocks apart.'  I say.  We   could hang around the coffee house and the surrounding areas to see if he turns up, we then follow him back to where ever he's staying, and  Donnie could send one of his spy roaches in, we might be able to figure out what his angle is?' Leo said.  'It's a good a plan as any' (y/n) says.  'Ok then, we'll leave here in 10, i'll go tell Master Splinter, your guys gear up'  And so, that's what we did.  

We all headed to the roof tops.  We decided to split into two teams one each side of the street.  And there we sat for hours.  With no assurance that we would even see him.  But a ninja is patient.  And so we wait.  'you know one of those coffee's would be good right now' I say.  I can feel myself lagging.  I turn to Leo.  He knows exactly what i#m getting at.  He sighs but with a smile on his lips, '(y/n), April would you do a drinks run? '

Your POV

'Would you do a drinks run?'  Leo asks us, I almost jump at the chance to get off that roof for a few minutes.  'Yeah, sure, get everyone's orders and text them to me, otherwise i'll never remember them all.'  Leo gives me the thumbs up, 'See you in a bit'  I say to Donnie.  'Be careful'  He says.  'Pfft, i'll be fine, I have April right here.'  I say.  'And you'll have eyes on us all the time, right?'  'Right'  Donnie says.  And so me and April had down to get some warm drinks.

Me and April receive the guys orders, and make our way in.  We pay for our drinks and head out again.  '(Y/n)?'  I freeze when I hear my name.  'Are you kidding me!?' I thought as I turn to see Pete.  'Pete!  Oh, what a surprise!'  I say with a sarcastic one toned voice.  'April, why don't you take these?  I'll catch up in a bit.'  I say to my friend who already has a shoot to kill look on her face.  She looks at me as I wink.  'Ok'  she says reluctantly.  I figure if I can get Pete to stay in one place long enough Donnie can get that spy roach thing situated.   'Soooooo........' I say straining to think of something to talk about.  'Where's your boyfriend this evening?'  Pete asks me.  'Oh he's around, im meeting him and his brothers later'  I say.   'Oh?  He has brothers?'  'Yeah, three of them.'  I say glancing up towards the roof a little.  You saw one of them the other night.   '(Y/n) about the other evening, I meant everything I said,  I still care about you.'  I look at him.  'Thanks, but i'd rather you care about your fiance.  after all, if shes worth breaking my heart for she must be special.  Or maybe I just wasn't' I say coldly.  Im not sure how much longer I can stand here and be nice.  '(Y/n), please don't be like that.'  'Im sorry Pete, how else am I suppose to be with you?'  He looks at me.  He doesn't have an answer.  Just then my phone beeps.  A message from Donnie to let me know the Spy roach is in place.  'Ok then, well. I have to go.  My coffee is getting cold.  See ya Pete.'  'Yeah, see ya (y/n).'  I walk away, without even giving him a backward glance.  'I hope this works.' 

No Ones POV

The group of friends all reconvein back at (y/n)'s Apartment, Donnie sets up the monitor and speakers in the kitchen.  Donnie has a real sense determination.  He wanted to get to the bottom of what Pete was up to.  He watched for a bit while Pete walked around and eventually into and Apartment block, and into and apartment.  'Pete is that you?'  We hear another male voice call out.  'Yeah, it's me, do we have any beer?'  'Yeah, picked some up earlier, whats up?'  The owner of the voice appeared at a doorway handing over a beer.  'Sigh, I saw her again today'.  Donnie holds his ear piece closer to his head.  He gestures for Mikey and hands him the second earpiece to listen through.  'Dude, you need to forget her, you have Maddie back home, your spose to be getting married man.'  Donnie decides to move the spy roach to across the room, so they could see both men.  'I can't help it Matt, every time I see her I get this over powering affection for her, all my old feelings come rushing back, I think... I think I still love her.'  Donnie and Mikey both looked at each other wide eyed.  Donnie glances over to (y/n) sitting with April on the sofa talking.  They continued to listen.

'Then what about Maddie?'  The guy called Matt asked.  Now the Roach had moved they could see Matt was of similar height, and build.  He had  shoulder length dark brown hair, he wore in a ponytail.  They looked like they could be related.  'Yeah, Maddie...'  Pete says thoughtfully.  'Things haven't been right for a while between us, I was hoping this trip would help to clear my head, but seeing her again.  Pfft, the one person who I thought i'd never see again, the one person i've always wanted to see again turns up here in New York, same time as me.  I can't get it out of my head.  She always said things happen for a reason.'  Donine see's Matt roll his eyes.  'Are you forgetting, she has a boyfriend herself?  And from what you've to me she's not interesting in reconciling with you.'  

Pete sat down rubbing his head.  'Yeah, this Donnie guy.'  Both turtles sit up 'I don't like the sound of him'  Pete says.  'Course you don't cuz, he's with the girl you claim to love.' 'Hmmmmm.....' Pete growled a bit.  'Dude, get this work trip over with, go back to New Zealand, try to figure things out with Maddie, move on.  She has....'  'Take his advise Pete'  Donnie thinks to himself.  'And if you run into her again, just say Hi, and carry on.'  'But I don't want that!'  Pete snapped back, shutting Matt up.  Pete looks at his cousin and sighs 'I want her back.  Maddie doesn't make me feel the way (y/n) does!  She doesn't compare.  I've missed (y/n) ever since we broke up, and I didn't want to admit to myself.  But seeing her again.......'  Matt looked at Pete, 'Dude this is getting deep.'  'Yeah, I spose it is'  He sighs.  'So, do you know what your gonna do?'  Pete looks up at his cousin.  'I'm gonna get her back.'  'No'  Donnie whispered feeling panicked.  

Donnie's POV

I look over at (y/n)  'I can't lose her!'  I think  Both Mikey and I take our earpieces off.  'Mikey...'.  I say trailing off.  He puts a hand on my shoulder.  'Don't worry dude!  Your NOT gonna loose her!!'  We both glance over at (y/n) and back to each other, I look at Mikey with sad worried eyes.' I ensure the spy roach hides out of site and close the screen down, ensuring all we had seen and heard had recorded and was saved first. 'What do we do now?'  Mikey asks.  'I'm not sure Mikey, but we need to tell (y/n) what he said.'
