Chapter 6: Her Empty Void Of A Heart

Mon's Pov

Khun Sam drop me back to school, she even reminded me to cook for her before she drove away. She must really like it that I'll cook for her.

I guess I have to study cooking? Like something healthy. It looks like Lady Sam has unhealthy eating habits. I don't know exactly, I just noticed it earlier. She ate like one spoonful and that's it. After that she just watch me eat everything, I'm not complaining though since river prawns are delicious.

"Mon!" I heard Yuki call out my name, I look over and Nop looks like his toys were stolen. He looks like he has diarrhea, he looks funny.

"Yeah?" I answered. Nop sat down beside me while Yuki sat on the other side.

"What did Lady Sam say? She said she's going to talk to you, what did you talk about?" Yuki asked clearly curious, I roll my eyes at her because of how nosy she is before diverting my attention to my bag since the class will start in 5 minutes.

I realized that I told Yuki I'll be wedded off but never told her with who. She'll lose her mind for sure because she never consider Lady Sam as the potential candidate because of how cold and mean Lady Sam is in her daily life, that's why I'm so shock with the way she treats me.

"Nothing really." I said and focus in front since the teacher went inside the room and start his class.

There's like a gap on how she looks physically and how her mind works emotionally.

You never really knew people unless you're with them atleast a day.

Third Person's Pov

Sam park her car in her company's garrage, took her bag and went inside the building. Some people on the perimeter stopped whatever they're doing and stare as she walks by, while some looks away scared that she'll explode any minute.

As she wait for the elevator to arrive, she took her phone and stare at Mon's contact name. Kind of contemplating if she'll message Mon and if so, what would she say?

She took a deep sigh and at the same time the elevator open revealing two people kissing. As soon as they felt the elevator open, they break away and went pale when they realize that Lady Sam was in front.

"L-lady Boss.." Both uttered, clearly nervous. Lady Sam continues to stare at the both of them, disappointed.

In her company, there's a rule that company employees cannot date within themselves in hopes to avoid cheating issues since there's a lot of affairs regarding workplace. Lady Sam heard alot of it from different CEO's and she wanted to avoid such things.

"To my office, now." Sam uttered and went in, the two nodded still scared to even talk back and explain.

The ride in the elevator was awkward, uncomfortable and intense despite the fact that Lady Sam never utter a word. She has that energy around her, everyone was scared of her.

They arrive at her office as she instruct the two people to seat down in front of her.

"L-lady B-boss, can you please reconsider? We wouldn't do it again, please." The girl pleaded, Sam just raise her brows at her as if she said something stupid.

"You both pretty know about my rules here, right? You've been in this company for 2 years, you know the consequences very well whenever my own employees disobey my rules. And yet, you have the guts to do it in the elevator where everyone can see. It's unethical. Have you ever consider that what if some CEO from another company will see you back there? What will be the company's image hmm? Tell me." Lady Sam rant out, her voice is firm yet low. Anyone can clearly tell she's very annoyed and disappointed.

"L-lady Boss, we are very sorry and we won't say that we regret it. It was our decision to do it there, we don't want to make excuses. Please reconsider, Lady Boss." The guy pleaded this time, Sam sighed and stood up.

"No, you should have think things through and didn't let whatever you have down there control you. Especially you, Khun Keit, you're a married man." Lady Sam said through gritted teeth, both look down in shame and didn't utter a word.

"Pack your things and leave, both of you are fired." Lady Sam and rummage something from her drawers, she took two envelopes with their names written on it.

"Here are your compensation salary. Goodluck finding another work and hopefully a company will accept people who doesn't follow rules." Lady Sam said, gave them a sarcastic smile before leaving her office.

Sam's Pov

I went to the rooftop to get some fresh air after that stressful events. I don't like it when they disobey me, it was a simple rule so why can't they just follow it?

Khun Keit was even married. How I hate people like him.

I sighed and stare at the busy city. The rooftop is relaxing, quiet and warm. It's as if I was being comforted despite being alone. Ever since my mother died I've been lonely since then, despite the fact that my grandparents spoils me rotten it was never enough to make me.. less lonely.

I couldn't even remember when was the last time I smiled.

Or maybe I have..

A smile crept unto my face upon remembering the last time I smiled. It was when I arrived home and there's a food on the table with a little note on it.

I took my wallet and grab the note.

Don't laugh at me, it was cute so I kept it. Nothing more.

I cooked something for you, Lady Sam. Hopefully it suits your taste. Good work today!

I smiled again and put it back on my wallet.

I don't even know why she has this effect on me. She just look so cute whenever her eyes are on me, it sparkles.

Specially when we went to Ayutthaya for river prawns, I guess some good memories flooded her when she realizes that we'll eat river prawns. She looks at the place feeling nostalgic.

It was a great view to look at, definitely different when I saw her back at the mansion. That time she looks sad and hurt, uncomfortable and feeling out of place. I even left as fast as I could because I couldn't bare the guilt of her being in an arrange marriage with me. I snatched her future away from her and her right to find someone she can love on her own will. The least I can do is treat her as best as I can.

When I saw how excited she is when we went to Ayutthaya, it makes me happy. The way her eyes sparkle as she look around the place, the way she thank me, the way she smile showing her perfect teeth, the way her voice went high pitched whenever she talks to me as if she's excited to open a conversation with me.

Happiness definitely looks good on her. It's the best feeling whenever I make her laugh and smile.

It was as if the empty void in my heart was slowly healed with her mere gesture, as simple as smiling at me as if it was only for me.

If only it belongs to me.
