when I woke up, it was almost dark outside. I checked my phone, it was 7:23pm. I noticed I had a few messages so I checked them, hoping there was one from ky. none of them were, just a bunch from my mom telling me she hopes I mde the best o my birthday and wasnt reckless. if only she'd known where I was and who I was with, she'd flip shit.

  I decided to freshen up, considering there were people coming over. I went through my suitcase looking for a cute casual dress. I found my jean strapless skater dress. it looked acid washed and it fit my body perfectly. I grabbed my towel, lofa, and other things I needed for my shower. when I walked in the bathroom I felt like I was in another bedroom, this shit was huge, I swear he lives like some foreign prince with his weird status and art. actually, theyre beautiful but im just being salty. 

After my shower I put my dress on. my hair wasnt looking the hottest so I put it in a bun. I put on my favorite liquid eyeliner, mascara, some carmex because I hate lipgloss and lipsticks. I do wear them on special occasion and well this didnt seem like one. is didnt really feel.like wearing shoes because id just be inside of a house, but I wasnt home so I put on my red floral vans. I was a but scared to walk out, but I did anyway. I heard a bunch of people talking and music playing. this seemed more like a party than anything else. I walked towards the kitchen and saw Donald. he was in the kitchen with some people. I knew all of their names. ludwig, steve, fam, chance, and well that other black guy. I was really nervous to walk into the kitchen, but when I looked outside and by the couches there were alot of people. some running around, others smoking or dancing. I held my breath and walked in the kitchen and stood by the entrance. everyone stopped talking and looked at me. I felt like I was going to start shaking. I hate being the center of attention. I loosened up and gave them my best smile.

"hi, hope im not interrupting something important."

Steve was the first to speak "so there she is, hey im steve, donald's more attractive brother."

"man shut up she dont want you." chance said laughing "hi, im chancelor but as you know everybody calls me chance."

"yea, I know who you guys are, nice to meet you all."

fam and the others waved and smiled.

there was a long awkward silence and don was just staring at me.

"okay so I may have just made this awkward sooo im going to go make some friends i guess. see you boys around." I gave them one last smile before I started leaving.

"woah wait." I turned around and ludwig was standing right behind me.

"lets all play a quick game before any of us disperse and go hanging out with other people."

I raised my eyebrow and  walked back into the kitchen. "okay so since im a girl I get to chose the game." I smiled at them.

"naw shawty your in a mans territory." fam smiled

"oh,well last time I checked the kitchen was a womans place, is there something you'd like to share?" I grinned

all the guys started wildin out about what I said.

"aye don get your girl."

"im not-" I looked at his face and I didnt finish my sentence. he looked offended but it was true, I wasnt his girl. I guess I sounded kinda harsh.

"alright, never have I ever. lets do it. get the bottles, cups and stories together bitches."

"aye yo I like her, she's cool, demanding and isnt afraid.to hang with the homies. if you dont wife this girl bino I will." chance said with a big ass smile on his face.

this entire time Donald didnt say anything. he smiled, he laughed, but nothing. he barely looked at me. we started playing and it started off with just simple things and weird but not crazy experiences. it was my turn again and I decided to spice things up a bit, well I was a bit drunk so I was feeling kinda happy.

"never have I ever had sex with a girl who squirts."

they all stopped, looked at me, then looked at eachother and drank. every single one of them drank from their cup.

I bursted out laughing amd so did everyone else.

"you guys are uh, adventurous I see."

"we're adventurous, your tbr one being with girl, I dont oppose though. I like girls that like girls." fam said proudly.

I was feeling a bit out of it and the last thing I wanted to do was get wasted with don and his friends and make a fool of myself.

"this was fun, im going to have to check out." I out my cup in the trash and waved at them.

"wait one more game?" I turned around to the sound of dons voice.

he sounded like a cute eager child. "Okay but no more drinking for me."

he walked over to me and put his hands over my eyes so I couldn't see anything.

"um what are you doing? I dont know if I like this game."

he laughed. "just let me lead."

he guided me around the house and I had no clue where I was, I know we weren't outside because there was no breeze. I wanted to move his hands but we came to an abrupt stop. then I heard whispers.

"one..two..three"

he removed his hands and to my surprise there was thw most beautiful cake I had ever seen. it was in the shape of lips and it Said shhh... happy birthday. the cake was a beautiful light caramel color with white in the middle and the writing was in a color that looked gold. there were sparklers on it and it light lit up in my face. everyone around me.started singing happy birthday, including don. I smiled like an idiot. it was so beautiful. when they were done the guys all came and gave me a hug.

"yea we had to keep you in the kitchen until the cake was done, luckily you invited yourself in." don said smiling at me.

"you didnt have to do this. its just amazing don."

"it's all apart of the adventure." he hugged me tightly

"sooo y'all guna hug or cut the cake?" chance was smiling at us.

I let don cut my piece and he cut his. there were so many people there and I knew none of them. the cake was pretty big though.

"lets go outside."

I followed him outside to the back by the pool. there was a little area ment to put a fire. the flame was already burning and we sat down next to it eating our cake and talking.

"your amazing you knos that? I've only known you fir two days and your amazing seriously."

he smiled "im not, I just knew you could have spent your birthday with someone else but you spent it at my concert at at ihop with me so I wanted to show you that I appreciated your company."

"well yeah, u did kinda force me to hangout with you." I stuck my tongue at him

"I put no weapon to your head. you could have declined."

"but I didnt."

"and now we're here."

"together."

he looked at me and smiled. 

"stop staring at me, weirdo"

he pushed my arm and my cake fell on the ground.

"oh, im so sorry."

I looked at him with a blank expression and then grabbed his cake.

"guess ill just take yours."

"oh no, listen I need that back."

" he leaned over to take it away from me and I shoved a big piece in my mouth.

"I only had like three bites come on." he smiled and laughed.

"you really want it back?"

"yes I do"

"are you sure?"

"im positive."

I grabbed a piece of the cake off the plate and shoved it in his face. he looked shocked.

"oh my, im soooo sorry." I said sarcastically.

he grabbed the other piece and I got up and ran. he chased after me into the grass. I stood behind his lemon tree

"oh nad hidding spot."

he ean towards me and threw the piece. he missed and hit the tree. I couldn't help but die laughing.

he was standing right in front of me laughing also.

"I guess I win."

"I didnt knoe this was a game."

"well now you know."

he whipped icing off of his face.

"oh you missed a  spot."

I took my hands and ran my thumbs across his eyebrows whipping off the icing.

"you might at well lick it." he laughed.

I looked at him and smiled "im good" I laughed too.

we were looking at eathother and still laughing. my hands still on his face. suddenly our eyes locked and we stopped laughing. we stared into eachothers eyes, eachothers soul. beauty is what I saw within him. he leaned in closer to my face as though waiting for me to meet him half way. I did and our lips greeted eachother for the first time. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he rested his arms on my waist. there we stood kissing as though we loved each other to death. intensely and beautifully we kissed.

"aye yo bro, I um-"

I quickly let go and looked away. it was steve. he was smiling at us.

" yea, we ran out of drinks and i don't know the code to open the door with all the drinks in it."

I could feel don staring at me still, it was so intense, just like our kiss.

"im coming."

steve walked away.

don leaned in to kiss me again but I turned my head.

"you should go help your brother out, ill meet you inside. I ducked under the branches and walked towards the house, I looked back to see him staring at me again, but this time with a smile on his face. I smiled too.

"what are you staring weirdo?!" I shouted then turned around and kept walking.
