CHAPTER • 37

Jeonghan and Miyoung planned that they will announce about their engagement tonight to their parents. Sadly, Jeonghan's parents said that they won't make it to the dinner that Jeonghan has set tonight because they are busy in the company. Miyoung and her family is happy because Wonwoo will make it to the said dinner. After a busy long time with his schedule, he will see his family again and he's happy about it.

Everyone is now at the restaurant where they will have their dinner and will Jeonghan and Miyoung announce about their engagement.

"So, why did you set a dinner for us?" Mr. Jeon asked to Jeonghan.

"And why your parents aren't here?" Mrs. Jeon added.

"My parents said they are busy doing something in the company that's why they won't make it here. Miyoung and I invited you for a dinner because we will announce something." Jeonghan answered politely. He is deeply sad inside because he was excited to tell his parents about the engagement but they're not at the dinner and his parents seems being workaholic nowadays.

"Is that so? But they still should be here for you, right? You are their son. They can excuse themselves on their work since they are the owner of the company." Mr. Jeon said as he sat up properly on his seat.

"I know... But it's okay." Jeonghan smiled as he could.

"So, what will you guys tell us?" This time, Wonwoo asked. "I think I know this. I already can feel it! It's a good news, right?"

Miyoung chuckled at her brother's actions and said, "Yes. It's a good news."

"I knew it." Wonwoo laughed. He seems so excited to hear the news.

"Tell us now. We're ready to hear it!" Mrs. Jeon giggled as she clapped her hands excitedly.

Jeonghan and Miyoung looked at each other first and intertwined their hands before announcing, "We're engaged."

"Omo! Really? I can't believe our Miyoung is getting married soon." Mrs. Jeon said happily.

"Me too. Time really flies so fast! You were just a kid who cries over a toy and now you're a perfectly mature girl who is getting married soon with your best friend." Mr. Jeon said.

"I can't wait to become an uncle." Wonwoo said and winked at his sister.

Miyoung blushed at his brother's words while Jeonghan chuckled and pinched his fiancée's cheek.

"If you already have your own house, please don't forget to visit us and bring your kids over, okay?" Mrs. Jeon said after taking a sip of her drink.

"Sure, mom. We won't forget about you." Miyoung said and gave her parents a wide smile. "You're the reason why Jeonghan I met and became best friends with him. I'm very thankful for that." Miyoung tried to hold her tears back but failed.

Her tears slowly rolled down on her cheek and everyone noticed it.

"Don't cry, Miyoung. You should be happy!" Wonwoo said.

"Why are you crying, my daughter?" Mr. Jeon asked worriedly.

"I'm just so happy. I'm very happy because I can't believe that I'm getting married to the man I really love since I was a kid." Miyoung sniffed and Jeonghan wiped her tears with his handkerchief.

"Me too, Miyoung. I can't believe it." Jeonghan said with his soft voice.

"I feel happy for you, Miyoung." Wonwoo said and smiled at the couple.

"We can't wait till your wedding day." The Jeon parents said excitedly.

After the dinner, they all went home. Jeonghan decided to sleep again at the Jeon family's house and sleep with his fiancée.

The next morning, Jeonghan went to his family's company and told his parents that he's engaged with Miyoung. It hurt him because they just congratulated them and they not seem excited. Jeonghan feel something not really good about it and it made him sad. He got jealous of Miyoung because her parents are very excited about the marriage and can't wait till the wedding day.

Jeonghan expected that his parents will be happy for him when he will announce the engagement because he knows that his parents were very supportive to him before but he doesn't have any idea what happened to his parents now.

The day has come. The day when Jeonghan will go back to LA and of course Miyoung came with him to the airport.

Before Jeonghan went inside to the airport, he bid his goodbyes to his fiancée and gave her a kiss on the lips.

"See you after a month." Jeonghan said and hugged Miyoung tightly.

"I'll miss you." Miyoung said between their hug. After a few seconds, they pulled out.

"Don't worry. When I come back, we will prepare everything for our wedding." Jeonghan said, cupping Miyoung's cheek. "I'll miss you too." He kissed Miyoung's forehead.

"I love you, Jeonghan." Miyoung said, looking at Jeonghan straight to his eyes.

"I love you too, Miyoung." Jeonghan then gave Miyoung a kiss on the lips.

"We have to go now, Jeonghan." Mr. Yoon interrupted.

Jeonghan waved his hand and threw a flying kiss to Miyoung before he went inside the airport with his family and the Kim family.

"I miss you already, Jeonghan. Please come back soon." Miyoung mumbled.

Miyoung then left the airport and went back home to rest. But before she could rest, she heard her phone rang, notifying her that she has a message.

Jagiya~ we're getting inside the plane now.
I'll call you once we get to LA, okay?
