Chapter 6

Dabi stepped through the portal with ease, over the unconscience hero's body. He walked back over to the bar, greeted by Toga spinning a throwing knife on her index finger. The evening sun was shinning through the slits in the door way to the hide out making rainbows progect across the hard wood floors.

"Hello Dabi!" Toga said, more calm then normal

"Hi Toga" The villian sat beside the child, nodding at Kurogiri , this enduced him to close the portal that had just been created.

"The plan worked then!" she said nodding to the, still, unconscience body in the middle of the room.

"Yep, worked perfectly" Dabi said with a smile

The villian stood, streaching out his aching body. He stared, dazed, at Hawks for a minute before striding over, picking up the body and throwing it over his shoulder. He didn't need the hassle of him waking up at the wrong time.

.....

The thumping in Hawks head became aparant, and the soft hum in his ears. The bright lights shone through his eyelids as he groaned in pain.

He began to come to his suroundings, squinting as he tryed to open his eyes. The room was dark, but not pitch black, hawks could still see the faint outlines of objects. It became obvious that he was in an interigation room, the scratches on the wall prominant, and the blood smears plastered over the floor, walls and ceiling. kneedles scattered over a weeley table in the centre of the room. A tall bookshelf cowering in the corner.

The hammering in his head had slightly calmed down and his eyes had adjusted to the vivid spotlight. The bird was tied down to a rusting fold up chair, wings chain together in a death grip behind his back. He was not liking this day at all.

"Oh for god's sake!" Hawks huffed, releasing his head down as he gave the chains a little tug

"Well nice to see you too" a deep voice echoed through the room causing hawk's head to shoot up resulting in his eyesight going fuzzy.

"Honestly, Dabi i can't relate" Hawks shot back, ignoring the throbbing at the back of his skull. Now was not the time to be worrying about something so insignificant, when your in the presants of a killer

"I'm hurt hawks, we're are your manners?" Dabi spoke, hand on heart, like he would have anything there anyway...

"I don't think now is the right time for manners honestly Dabi. I'm tied to a bloody chair!" Hawks shouted the last part, anger rising that he tried to keep at bay

"Fair Fair"

"So, how's life?" the bird questioned, may as well try i guess?

"Shit, obviously..."

"Still a villian?"

"Of course. I'm sorry as much as i'm loving this little interaction, why?" dabi said slightly raised

"Why?" Hawks questioned as if he had no idea

"Why." Dabi deadpaned, not enjoying the conversation. Hawks shuffled a bit, seeing if he could wiggle his way out of this one. Minuets later with no luck, he looked up making eye contact with the villians figure leaning on the wobbly book shelf in the corner

"You done?" he asked

"Yeah. Must admit you did a good job" Hawks shrugged at the chains bounding him to the chair, if only he could get his wings free to put some damage to the rusty chair.

"Why thank you." Dabi hesitated

"If we're being honest here, you weren't the easiest to bring in. kept up quite a fight"

"Only the best for the worst" The bird huffed, he didn't like how...

Normal.

The convasation was. It was creeping him out, Dabi could sense the discomfort

"What?" He said, stepping forward just before the light so hawks still couldn't completely see him

"I'm just unsettled at how light this interation is..." Hawks trailed off, this causing Dabi to chuckle. Not a normal chuckle, oh no it was so much deeper. Like a deep echo in a cave, it rang in Hawks ears, sending vibrations to his feathers that seemed strangly distant.

"Well i can make it more agressive if you would..."

"Nope" Hawks popped the "p"

"Fair, fair, i can only try i guess" the villian shrugged, he too was suprised at how easy this exchange was going, he thought there would be screaming and shouting. He was circling the Bird, just before the light, he didn't want the bird to see him.

"Do you mind? like not circling me. It is very weird" The bird shivered, it was becoming too eery in there, he was suppost to be the predior here...

"Why? What do you think I'm going to do?" Dabi spoke, still circling

"That's the point. i don't know"

"What do you want me to do?"

"Something that doesn't kill me, Perhaps?" Hawks questioned quickly, it was like he was in a shark tank, a very deadly, shark tank.

The shark kept swarming around him, hawks could hear the footsteps, until they stopped. Hawks tried not to show his panic he didn't like the loss of control he had, he was listening for the villian, scanning for any signs of movement that wasn't his own.

Then the slightest movement and Hawk's head was yanked upwards. A thick chunk of his blond locks, tightly held by the villian.

"Ow! Fuck! what are you doing!" Hawks said the throbbing in his head as his headace began to return, shutting his eyes to settle the pain

"Open. your. eyes" Dabi said expressionless

"Why?! can let go of my head? still fucking hurts" Hawks rattled as he tried to bring his bound hands to his head with no luck

"Just do it..."

Hawks slowly opened his eyes as they adjust, a shadow loomed over him as his gaze meets bright blue orbs. Dabi's eyes were in direct view of hawks

'it was all he could look at' was his excuse as to why he stared for so long, taking in the ocean view, the eye of a storm held in one single gaze. As dabi stared at flaming gold, the fire of anger? Dabi couldn't tell, he only admired the still and bold browns and golds swirling in the Birds eyes, he didn't think he could ever get this close to a tiger.

"Your staring.." Dabi said, a smug look on his face after a few minuets admiring

"Well maybe it's because i can't look anywhere else. And let go of my hair will you!" Hawks voiced, annoyed, why is Dabi here? what does he want?

"Thought i would give you something worth looking at"

Hawks couldn't do much, he froze. All he could do was eye roll, his stomach was flipping and his brain was dizzy

.....

After a while Dabi did leave. Giving the bird enough time to cool off. As well as himself. He could still hear the ragid breaths and the banging of chains and he left the room

"someone isn't too happy about me leaving" he muttered as he left, slamming the metal iron door and giving it a furm lock just incase that bird has some brains

But Dabi couldn't help the lingering smug expression as he walked to his resting place, it was annoying him, Hawks was right about one thing though.

That convasation was far to relaxed for enemies...
