the new couple were in tate's room cuddling and rewatching all the diary of a wimpy kid movies. "rodrick is so hot" tate murmured.

ben laughed and said, "i can't even get mad because he really is." tate laughed and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

i can't believe i'm his girlfriend she thought. okay the past couple of days have been so amazing. the two were inseparable.

after a few silent minutes, she wondered out loud, "i can't believe devon and riley are-"

"i know right. it shocks me because he's always been kind of a player, you better hope he doesn't break riley's heart." ben cut the girl off, knowing exactly what she was gonna say.

"i swear on everything if he ever hurts riles.. i will-"

"you're adorable when you're mad."

tate jumped on ben's back as he was getting up and he started screaming. with his screaming and her giggles, the two didn't see tate's parents coming into her room.

"uh- hey there mr. and mrs. parker.." ben said as he awkwardly stood there holding onto tate's legs.

tate quickly jumped off of ben. "hey dad, mom.."

"i've noticed that you two have been spending a little too much time together." matthew said sternly.

he wasn't going to yell at them, but he was for sure gonna give a quick talking-to.

it was obvious what was going on between them and matthew and jenn were happy for tate. they haven't heard her laugh in a while.

"look dad- we.. yes we have. we're.. closer now."

"tatum, sweetie, you don't need to make up stories. we know you guys are together...we're happy for you guys!" jennifer finally spoke up.

"ben, ever since you got here, you've made tate really happy. i can tell because i haven't heard her laugh like that in so long. you have no idea how much me and jenn missed her laugh and beautiful smile. thank you for that.."

the two looked at each other, then to matthew and smiled. "dad thanks. sorry you had to find out this way.. we were gonna tell you eventually."

he nodded his head as to forgive them. "now, i know you guys are teenagers and you wanna be all rebellious and bold, but remember to always use protect-"

"nope nope nope. we know dad. okay, you can leave now. thank you goodbye." tate pushed her parents out the room, but gave her father a grin before gently shutting the door.

ben sighed and breathed, "well that went..odd. i'm glad they approve though." tate agreed and sat on ben's lap, putting her face in his neck.

she felt tiny compared to him but in the best possible way. she felt safest when she was with him and he felt like he could conquer anything when was with her.
