Chapter 3

Morning comes and I'm awoken by the light on my face. "Good morning sleeping beauty. Do your morning routine and then eat breakfast. I killed a few creatures that walked into our land. I've made sure to clean and cook them properly so enjoy. I will be up in the tree trying to find the best way to go." I open my eyes and see her climb the biggest tree near us. I get up and eat the breakfast that she made.

As soon as I finish eating she gets down. "So, I've been thinking. What if we just wonder around for a while?" I get confused, "Why? Shouldn't we be doing everything we can to get out?" She nods, "Yes, but at the same time it seems that this will take a long while. I suggest taking it slow but fast at the same time." I shake my head, "No way! I can't stand another day in this forest! I need my wifi!" She gets a confused look on her face as she tilts her head to the side a bit. Such a short cutie. She speaks, "Wifi? Never heard of that. But oh well."

Wait. What? She's never heard of WiFi? HOW!? "Umm, Female me. How do you not know what WiFi is?" I ask. She smiles at me, "Well, it depends on what WiFi even is. Who knows, maybe I do know what it is. Why don't we talk about it while we walk?" She grabbed a few things but I stop her, "You said we should stay put. I think we should stay too. If they are looking for us then they'll find us soon. Plus, we may be walking in the wrong direction which will make it more difficult for them to find us." She nods, "That is true. But what if we run out of things. Like food or water. We need to find a good spot to stay for the time." I nod and she continues to grab the few items.

We both set off to a random direction after while I explain WiFi. Turns out she does know of it but her world doesn't use it 24/7. Only for certain purposes. But, I feel like there's more to that since when I asked why. Well.

"So why doesn't your world use it as much? It's useful."

"Haha, very. But. Uhh. Our WiFi. Uhh. Hmm. It. Oh! Last time we used it too much we started running out of materials. So we had to slow things down to the point on where it was rare to use a phone during free time. Besides, without phones there isn't as many problems or drama."

... Yeah, kinda sketchy. But, I'm sure she'll tell me soon. If not then I'll have to find a way to get the truth out.

Many hours later

My legs were so tired and I could barely keep my head up. I whine, "Are we going to take a break? If not then I know something else that will break." She rolls her eyes, "Aren't you over exaggerating a bit? We can take a break right now but we'll have to keep walking just to find a good spot." I whine again and flop on my back, "But I can't keep walking!" She sighs and puts the things on top of me, "Fine. You can hold these then." I close my eyes, "Why do I need to hold these things-!?" Before I finished my sentence, she picks me up and carries me on her back. A few things fall but I caught them before they touched the ground. "If you can't walk then I'll be your legs while you can be my backpack. Just make sure we don't lose any of the stuff," she says.

She continues walking as I hold onto the items. I nearly drift off from time to time but manage to stay awake for the time. Before the stars start to show, while I was off in my dreamland. She drops me onto the floor and she follows right after while panting. "Huff, Huff, w-we made it." I look up and see a pond with a waterfall coming out of what seems to be a hole in the ground. The rest of the water flows freely as it goes past the trees and out of sight. The sunset just made the scene more beautiful. I look down at my twin and see her fast asleep.

A few minutes later

Thanks to the few tips she had given me while back at our other campsite, I managed to make a little camping area while she got her rest. I sat next to the fire with my twin next to me. She was still sound asleep and I felt hungry. I know nothing of cooking out in the wild since microwaves exist. I just have to deal with it for now. I lay down on my back and stare up at the stars that have started to pop up. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep. Not knowing that she would wake up in the middle of the night.

Morning

"Rise and shine sleeping beauty!"

I groan and lay on my side. After a few seconds I'm shaken awake. "I said 'Rise and shine!'" I open my eye and look up at her, "I'm up." She nods and walks to the river, "I've been up in the tree to keep an eye on the land and where we are. I also already made breakfast." She cups some of the water into her hands and drinks straight from it. I sit up and look to where I had put my fire last night and see some fish on a stick that seemed to be well cooked. I lay on my back and roll near the fire and grab the fish. I eat it while staring up at the sky with the sun just barely rising.

"I've figured it out. By the rules of civilization and the sky, there is a small city that would be on that side," she points to the right and towards to where the water was flowing to. "If we continued the path we were on, we would have found civilization in almost a week. If my math is correct, we will find the small town at around noon if we take the different path." I stand up, "I hope you're right, I kinda like being out here but I miss my bed and WiFi." She sighs, "At least your bed is in this world. I miss my fluffy blanket. Now come on." She grabs a few items and a rock that looks like it was sharped. "Whoa, what's with the rock," I ask while pointing at it. "I made it a blade. I believe the natives would make their spears out of copper or metal. Anything can be a blade if you sharpen it enough," she explains and starts walking. I follow her and I slowly see the sky change to the normal blue.

After many minutes of walking I realized that she was falling asleep while walking. She trips and I quickly grab her before she lands on the floor, "Whoa! Did you get any sleep last night?" She stands up straight and rubs her eyes as she yawns, "I did sleep but I woke up in the middle of the night. Then I couldn't go back to sleep. Too much stuff was on my mind and I had to make sure no animals would try to get us while you slept." She yawned 3 times while she spoke. So she worried more about me than herself? That's something we don't have in common since we JUST met.

But if she's that tired then. I pick her up and put her on my back, giving her a piggyback ride. She panics and I speak, "You should rest, you've done more than enough so think of this as my thank you for not running away and leaving me alone since we both know I'm not one for nature." She shakes her head, "You did really well with hesitantly nods and rests her head on my shoulder and I continue the walk. After passing a few trees I could tell she was back to her sleeping state.

Yeah, that's right. I'm giving him a soft side and not the oil boi side. Well, he has both. I should stop writing down every thought I get. It's like I'm one with the keyboard. Anyway, hope you're getting a bit into the book like I am since I see something to do when I wake up thanks to this. Besides the role-play I do on Amino during classes, the music I listen to when I daydream, or finish My Hero Academia during my Lunch and Gym period.
