Scene 3: Part 1- Memphis, July 5, 1954

"Hey! Excuse me! Do you know where Sun Record Studio is?" The man asked Branden "What?" Branden says confused still not realizing what has happened "Sun Record Studio. Do you know where it is?" Branden still confused just decides to answer "Uh, the address is 706 Union Avenue if that helps? Im not entirely sure where it is from here." Branden answers using what he read on the sun record website "That works! Thanks man!" The man pushes his slicked light brown hair back more and catches up with some men holding guitars.

After that interaction Branden looks around and realizes he is standing on a sidewalk, in what seems to be an urban part of a city, cars are driving by but he pays more attention and looks at them, '47 Chevrolet, '54 Cadillac, he looks around more, barbershop down the road, man across the street seems to be preaching about some kind of people invading the Memphis businesses, then it hits him.

He runs to a nearby trashcan and grabs a newspaper, July 5, 1954. "Holy Shit." Then he thinks back to the man he just talked to, suave voice, distinct facial features, slicked back hair.

"THAT WAS ELVIS PRESLEY!"

He screams out loud and frightens some people standing next to him. He quickly takes action and starts jogging to catch up with Elvis and the men he was with. He runs up the street and sees them crouched down on the sidewalk, Elvis is wrapping one of the men's hand up as blood starts to come out of them. He walks up and tries to talk to them in a casual demeanor.

"Hey man. Whats goin' on? Everything good here?" Branden asked basically pitching himself to not yell and scream for his autograph.

"No man, everything is alright just Bill messed up his hand. Damn how are we gonna record today."

"Ay I may be able to play some, just not as much pluckin as we need" Bill said testing his hand by making a fist and then regretting the decision.

"No, I cant let you play with that messed up hand. We just need to find someone who can play bass."

Branden almost fainted from his realization but spoke up

"I don't know if this is open to anyone but I can play bass." Branden said trying to stay calm but felt like he needed to throw up

"Oh man! Would you do that? Here lets test you out!" Elvis opened up a case and took the bass out and handed it to Branden and he started pluckin blue suede shoes instrumental being one of the first things he learned.

"Oh yeah, you might be the best replacement for Bill we could find, and I like that melody whats it called?"

Branden shocked he was even considered good by the king responded "Uh, its a song I learned from my friend Carl, Carl Perkins. Called it Blue Suede Shoes." Branden was suprised he came up with a lie that fast but being so nervous it seemed to work.

"Its nice, gonna have to learn it, well lets go to the studio Mr Phillips said we gotta be there in ten, whats your name man?"

"Branden. Branden Mikels, and you are?" Acting like he doesn't know every name he has ever gone by in his rock career.

"Oh! Im Elvis, thats Bill, and theres Scotty"

"Nice to meet yall, you said we should get goin?"

"Yeah, we should lets shake a leg!"

The whole group starts to jog up the road and makes it to the corner of Union Ave. also known as Sun Record Studio.
