  FOURTEEN

The concrete was fairly dirty. She had been observing the ground as she walked to Jungkook's house for tutoring. After the incident with Hyuk during lunch, he hadn't spoken to her.

He had stayed by her side occasionally kissing her cheeks of forehead. Still, no word was said.

She formed her hand into a fist and knocked on the wooden door. The door swung open and she saw him.

His face screamed get out but his eyes said something else. His eyes had an emotion that she couldn't name at the moment.

She desperately wanted to know what emotion his eyes showed.

"You can come in, you know?" he said as he stepped away letting her inside.

In a matter of seconds she was already inside his room. Her hands were moving frantically as she sorted out the book on the bed. Jungkook was on his desk watching her intensely.

Nari had noticed but she didn't dare to look at him. She could loose her focus just by one look.

As she sat down on the bed and turned the page on the English book, she heard the office chair creak.

Her eyes were set on the book so she didn't see that Jungkook had gotten on the bed. That is until he closed the book softly.

"Let's not do tutoring." he said as he placed her book aside.

Oh no, is he-

His warm hand enclosed with hers. Her cheeks reddened. She was feeling the butterflies inside rapidly.

"Let's just lay down." he mumbled.

Lay down? He's not going to kiss me or any–

Wait, kiss?

You can't fall into another guy again, no way.

She layed down next to him. Amidst laying down, they both kept their distance.

Nothing could settle down the emotions she felt at this moment. She should be running, shouting at him for not wanting a tutoring session today. Instead, she still held his hand as they lied side by side.

"Are you okay?" she asked him as she saw that he closed his eyes. He gulped and then opened them.

     "Sort of." he mumbled.

How ironic, a few days ago she was running away from him. Now, she is here talking as if they'd known each other for a long time.

She felt him draw patters on her hand that he still held. Her heart was betraying her.

Nari bit her lip in nervousness, "Do you want to talk about it?"

He chuckled, "I shouldn't be telling you any of this, you know."

"I'm good at keeping secrets." she responded.

She felt him shift on the bed. She silently sighed in disappointment as his hand left hers.

He had turned to her side with his arm supporting his head.

Again, she couldn't dare herself to look at him. She just couldn't.

"Zik might know that we are Bangtan." he mumbled.

Oh great.

Her eyes widened in shock, "What? Yong Zik?" she exclaimed.

Out of instinct she turned to her side. Now they were both looking at each other.

Jungkook nodded, "Yeah, but it gets worse. He's one of our closest and most important clients," he put his hands on his face in frustration, "ugh I messed up, big time."

Such a small, small world, right?

"Have you told the guys yet?" she replied.

He shook his head, "No, you are the first person to know."

The fear in his eyes was noticeable. You could see that he was scared of what the future might bring. Nari saw that, she saw this new Jungkook who showed his emotions to her, his raw emotions. Without no mask, without no filter; just him.

"You should at least try telling them, they deserve to know." she said truthfully. This could change everything for them.

He sat up and let out a huff, "I know, it's just– I don't know how to tell them."

"I'll be with you if you want." she mumbled.

He turned his head to her, "Of course you'll be with me. I need you there."

What?

This must be a joke.

"You need me there?" she asked him.

Nari couldn't register what the boy had said. He needed her there.

"Yeah." he stood up, he slowly walked toward the bed. His hands enclosed her on her sides.

He slowly descended to her level. Her back hit the mattress slowly. There was no way she was kissing him, no way.

He leaned down to her ear. His breathing was hitting her cheek which made her electrified. She recognized this feeling, her body recognized it entirely.

"Because we have a plan," he paused his hands were over her head as he supported himself, "and you are going to be part of it."

Things just keep getting better and better, don't they?

-

Meet us on the blue tables outside during lunch time.
- J. JK

The note had fallen off her locker the next day. The bell had announced that lunch time had started. After the talk with Jungkook she had left immediately.

When she got home she couldn't forget the way his hands felt on hers. She couldn't forget how he sent her shivering by one gentle touch. He had her crazy.

"Let's go eat lunch." Hyuk said to the girls.

Nari cleared her throat, "I have to do something first."

They both stopped walking and turned to her, "Do what?" Eun asked.

      "The art project." she replied.

Her friends nodded, "With who?" Hyuk responded.

"With me." she heard Jin say as he placed his arm around her shoulder.

      They are everywhere.

"You are doing the project together?" Hyuk asked.

Jin shook his head, "No, I'm just helping her find inspiration for her piece."

The art project was to be finished by the end of the semester. She loved art class. Mostly because she could sleep in class and the teacher won't give her detention unlike some other teachers.

Her two friends stared at them in confusion. In this exact moment, Jin turned her around and began walking with her to where the rest of Bangtan were.

"You were taking so long so I came to find you." he told her as they kept walking, the prep was very big.

She scoffed, "You didn't need to. I was going there anyway." she replied.

Jin kept quiet and so did she. The silence was getting awkward, that is until they reached the blue tables and sat down.

The only seat available was between Jungkook and Namjoon. Nari sighed and sat down, placing her book bag on the floor.

"Okay, so I told you we had a plan, right?" Jungkook told her.

       She nodded.

Taehyung turned to her with a serious expression, "Don't say anything until we finish explaining," he paused, "please."

She just stared at them. What were they thinking?

The leader, Namjoon, began speaking, "Tomorrow we deliver a package to our friend." he said.

They spoke as if they were talking about something normal. Nobody passed through these tables so it was just them.

     "What friend?" she asked.

Jimin rolled his eyes, "Didn't we tell you to stay quiet?"

"I just asked a question." she told him.

"But we told you to shut up and listen." he retorted.

     "Well-"

"Stop!" Yoongi exclaimed with his hand on his forehead, somebody had a hangover.

"Thank you, Yoongi," Namjoon answered, "The package will be delivered tonight at a club downtown."

Okay and what do I have to do with this?

"Why are you telling me this?" she asked.

They all groaned and sighed. She was new to this, they had to understand.

"Because you are coming with us." Hoseok answered.

Her eyes almost popped out of her socket. There was no way that her mother would let her go out late. Most importantly, there was no way that she'd go to a club as a minor.

"No." she shook her head and was about to stand up.

"Yes, I told you that you'd be part of this whether you liked it or not so sit down." Jungkook pulled her back to her seat.

"I am not going with you and that is final." she said picking up her bag leaving the boys speechless.

She was about to head inside when she heard his voice, "You said you needed money, if you do this we'll give you a job." Jungkook said.

"She got her first check, I don't need a job anymore." Nari responded.

"That check isn't going to last all year. It's monthly, remember?" he replied.

Her back was turned to all of them so they couldn't see her conflictive stare.

I could help mom like I've always wanted.

I could be in danger if I accept.

But I'd win a reasonable amount of money.

This isn't right.

She let out a sigh before turning to them, "What's the plan?"

The seven boys smiled in victory.

"I'll tell you but, if you want to be a part of us you have to play by our rules princess." Jungkook said.

She sighed, "Deal."

What did I just do?
