"I'll come to pick you up around 1 and then we'll go visit Cara, Naomi, Connor, Jamie and Nat. Be ready by then, yeah?", Ravi squeezed Pip's elbow, kissing her forehead. Pip leaned into his embrace, holding him tight. And when Josh wasn't looking she pressed her lips to his. "I heard that." Pip rolled her eyes, squeezing Ravi's elbow back, "See you later." And as Ravi left, the feeling of happiness stayed. 

Pip sat on the sofa, snuggling up next to Josh as he played FIFA. She missed moments like these. Just her and her brother, bickering about whatever and getting along. "I missed you so much, Josh." "I missed you too, Hippo Pippo." She rolled her eyes at the nickname, happy that everything went the way it did.

"Hi baby, finished all your uni work?" Pip's mom peaks her head through her bedroom. "Yea." "God I missed you so much baby." Pip embraced her mom sinking into the smell of her perfume. "I love you so much mom. I'm so sorry." "Talk to me baby. Why'd you leave us like that?" 

Pip's eyes stung with tears. How could she tell them the truth. How could she tell her mom her daughter killed a man. That she and Ravi had framed a rapist. That the reason she left was because of fear. "I had too. I ruined my life here. After everything I did I couldn't stay." Tears started falling, a salty taste on her tongue. "I cause Barney and Stanley to die just because I couldn't stop. I would've went insane here." I did go insane. 

"I saw you falling. I- I just thought it would get better over time. I'm so sorry. I saw that you barely slept. The way you didn't eat." Pip felt her mom wrap her arms tighter around her. "I'm so sorry my baby. I wish I was there when you need me the most. I'm so sorry."

Pip sobbed, "No mom, I'm sorry. I put myself in danger. I put all of you in danger. I'm the reason Barney is dead. Just because I couldn't stop." 

"None of it was every your fault Pickle, you made mistakes thats it." Pip felt her dad's arms wrap around the both of them and could feel Josh hug her too. The four of them hugged each other just like the day they learnt that Barney died.
