Day - 2 (Continuation)

Scuba diving, snorkeling, water skiing, parasailing and watching dolphin swim were the activities they engaged in the whole afternoon. The couple's were contented seeing Jungkook and the girl have fun. Of course bickering between the two was inevitable but they still try to get along. 

Actually, Jungkook was the one trying hard to get along with her. After the talk he had with the old man, he decides to give it a shot. He even go out of his way to be a gentleman offering his hand to her when they boarded a boat. Except instead of taking his hand, the girl stare at it and hop on her own. To make the situation even worse, she lied about being a good swimmer - well in fact she's not - she almost drown when they scuba dive. 

It was 2 minutes after they'd dived, Jungkook then realized she was struggling to swim forward. He swam back to help her  but next thing he knows she was panicking and clinging on him for dear life - making it hard for him to breath and save her. Luckily, there's a skilled instructor nearby, patiently guarding them both. 

"Do you have a death wish? Why didn't you told us you can't swim?!", he spats when they were on the boat - eyes sharp, chest heaving and head aching. "You could've been killed!"

With her eyes on him, she didn't say much. She remained seated there beside him, embracing herself with a towel to keep her warm. She has a blank expression on her face when she said - "I'll make sure to bring you along with me."

Jungkook risked his own life to save her and the only reply he'll get was 'I'll make sure to bring you along with me' , she didn't even said thanks nor sorry about the incident. He's totally pissed of!

The moment they landed on shore, he purposely trip her while the couple was not watching to get revenge, causing her to fall face first on the sand. "That's for trying to drown me", he said then continue to walk like nothing happened. 

Yes! Jungkook exactly knows he's being childish. But what can he do? Its not like he can challenge her to a fight and beat her to death just to ease the anger he feels. Might as well act like a kid who's up to no good. After all, he was regarded by the fans as the BTS member who has a body of a hyung but a mind of a minor. Acting the part would not hurt, besides he's good with it.  

"Why you!" she get up on her knees and run for him. She tries tripping him too except Jungkook's spidey senses was currently on. He easily see right through her every move. "Stay still, you jerk!", she hissed under her breath getting tired of so much movement.

He ignored her then continue dodging her every assault. "Make me", he dared with a smirk. He suddenly felt the heat of the sun slowly creeping. He runs for the shades of the coconut trees expecting the crazy girl to follow him. But when he turn, he saw the couple desperately running towards something with Buzz ahead of them.  

"Mija!", the woman calls out in panic. The annoying girl was lying on the white sand - unconscious. He immediately runs back, worried something bad had happened.

"What the - ?!", he places her head on his lap, shaking her to wake-up. And yet she remained unconscious. Not a movement can be seen from her. 

'Did she have a concussion when she fell?' he thought in panic. He's scared out of his wits!

One by one, bystanders were gathering, crowding them, asking nonsense things. Without second thinking, he picks her up bridal style. "Make way!", he hissed, slowly getting mad that no one even bothered to call a medic.

"There's a clinic up ahead!", the husband instructed, knowing what Jungkook was about to do.  

He pushed through the crowd careful not to hurt her. He peeks to check if she's okay. But what he saw tore his heart. Her limbs hangs like jelly on his shoulders. Her face lifeless. Her breathing's getting slower every second like she's running out of air. He run as fast as he could, increasing his pace in the process. Afraid that if he stops even for just a second, someone might actually die in his arms. And he can't have that! Even if it means saving the most annoying girl in the world.

They were 10 feet away from the clinic, when Jungkook heard a loud laugh making him stop on his tracks.

"Fooled yah!"

Evening came fast, they were supposed to head home around 5 o'clock but mother nature has a different plan for them. It suddenly rained, the current was too strong and the wind just wouldn't stop its rage. Officials was forced to announced that no water vehicle was allowed to travel to the main island and that's why they were force to stay for the night.

Jungkook insisted the sixty-three year old husband and wife to use the only guestroom on their daughter's house. So here he was with the girl, sleeping on the floor with comforters and blankets embracing him. 

He haven't said a word to her over dinner nor when they were left at the living area to prepare for their temporary beds. He totally ignored her. Why would he not? He's still pissed on the act she pulled off that afternoon.

As early as 9 in the evening, the lights were already off. People inside the house had fallen asleep, except him. 

He's currently staring at the ceiling, thinking of how he badly misses his hyungs. Two days felt like a long time for him. He badly wants to go back to where they are and see the things they've been up to while he's gone. He's considering to go back early than what they had agreed. He's willing to accept all the teasing he would get from them once he sets foot at the hotel. Damn! He can even ask for another punishment to replace this one! He couldn't stand to be on his own and be left alone. This whole penalty was driving him crazy! This trip without his brothers is driving him insane! 

'Ah, nan molla (I don't know)!' he thought but was interrupted by a mumbling voice.

"Sorry for slapping you yesterday", he heard someone say.

Jungkook first reaction was to look on his side to see if the girl was the one who just spoke. But the only thing he saw was her back facing him. He couldn't quite figure out if she's asleep or not.

'Is she sleep-talking?', he wondered.

"Also for calling you jerk and other names that might had offended you. I want to sincerely apologize." 

'What the f*ck, am I dreaming?'

"Thanks for saving my life at the bridge, from the dog.. and from almost drowning. I owe you a lot. So - thank you."    

Shocked is an understatement, stunned would probably fit the situation he has now. He couldn't think straight, suddenly all his reasoning vanish in thin air. 

This girl just did an apology!

"Funny how whenever we try to have a conversation, we always end up fighting."

'She noticed it too.'

"You're wrong about me, you know", she said still her back facing him. She hadn't realized Jungkook was actually awake and too engrossed on the words she's saying. "Everything I do, everything I say - why do you always end up getting the complete opposite of it?", she heaves a deep sigh, trying to compose herself. 

'Coz you are such a puzzle. And I'm not good at solving one. It's Rapmon-hyung's job to do the thinking.'

"I'm not really good with words. So w - ", she leaves her words hanging not really knowing what to say next. "- when you started to ignore me, I know I did terribly wrong and need to apologize. But.. I dunno where to start. Even saying a proper apology and thanks in person is hard for me."

'Nah, you're doing just fine. Keep going.'

"You probably hate me by now. But.. I'm just hoping your not. Coz to be honest - I want us to be friends?"
