Going Back Home

I wake up to the little bit of sunlight that pours through the window on my right. I take a nice, long yawn. Now that I think about it, I'm actually quite hungry.

"Oh, your finally awake!", I hear Noodle say right next to me on the bed. I'm really glad that she stayed with me. "Uh...What time is it?", I ask, still half-asleep. "It's almost twelve. By the way, I already called Russel and Murdoc not too long ago", she explains. I nod my head and I sit up.

"Noodle, I don't mean to be a pest, but can you get me some breakfast, please?", I ask with politeness. "Oh, it's no problem; I'm quite hungry myself. What would you like?", she asks me as she gets up from the bed. "I feelin' like eating some waffles and drinkin' milk", I explain. "Okay, waffles and milk coming up!", she says like a small child as she leaves the room. Her tone makes me chuckle.

After she comes back with two plates of waffles and two glasses of milk, we eat for a few minutes. Afterwards, we wait for a few more until Russel and Murdoc arrive with the doctor.

"Hey, guys!", I greet them as they come in. "Hey, D", Russel greets me first. He comes over and we bump fists. "How the injury?", he asks. "Not too bad. I'm just glad I'm still alive", I comment positively. "Yeah, that's for sure", he says with a smile.

"In a way, I kind of envy you", Murdoc chuckles. "You get to say that you were shot in the chest and lived", he says. "Well, it's no picnic", I tell him with a raised eyebrow. "Well, were glad that you're doing swell", Murdoc replies

"We have gotten the results back, and you're able to go back home", the doctor speaks up. "I'd like to do that", I say. "Well then. Let me get you off the bed", he says as he starts disconnectin' me from the wires. After he finishes he helps me get up. As soon as I get up I can feel Jello in my legs. It must be because I haven't walked in three days.

I let go of him and I start walkin' on my own. "Okay, you're good to go! Make sure to wait for at least a week before removing the bandages. If you wish to take a shower with the bandages, we would recommend that you take a shower with a plastic bag over your chest.", he explains. "Okay, thank you", I thank him as we leave the room.

We reach the lobby to check out from the hospital and to pay. Murdoc pulls out his card and he hits on the female employee. After he gets a slap and he pays, we head to the Stylo. As we enter the Stylo Murdoc comments sourly, "Oh, well. Her loss..."
