Valentines day...?

Authors note: I will say it again, all rights are reserved to Osamu Nishi, the creator of "Mairimashita! Iruma-Kun!" With that out of the way, here is the first chapter to "The Valentine War!" Hope you enjoy!

It was just another day at the Student Council office. A little tea set on the circular desk with a silver tray, her legs crossed on the purple comfy soft chair while holding her tea cup properly to sip on the delicate yet calming fragrance. Her fox ears twitched occasionally, as she let Iruma's voice guide her to the forbidden world of"First Love Memories." She was probably smiling stupidly like a child but it didn't matter. It was just her and Iruma in a room together as nothing more than friends. Right, nothing more than friends.

"Today is Valentine's day and I'm gonna make Kakeru-kun a lunch he never tasted before." Iruma said

"I-Iruma? What is this... 'Valentine's day' you speak of?" Ameri asked

Iruma looked at her in shock, which is pretty fitting. This must be another one of those human charms. If anything, this will only prove to her even more that he's human.

"W-Well it's a day where you spend time with a person you hold dearly."

A person you hold dearly, huh? She imagined Iruma taking her on a date, eating food, spending time alone, holding her like a bride. All of those images felt so serene that her heart pounded and her face looked like it was about to melt. Iruma noticed this, "Um... Amelie-san...?"

She took a breather and said, "Keep going"

"Yes!" He shouted, "Kakeru-Kun..."

"W-What is it?" he asked, looking at the box tied with ribbon Rin-Chan was holding.

Iruma laughed nervously, acting like Rin, "W-Well my mother over packed my lunch and I-"

"Step aside" Another girl said, purposely bumping into Rin, "Sorry to interrupt Kakeru-san but we have other important matters to take care of, like the student council."

Kakeru-kun looked towards Rin with a fainted frown, "Of course. Sorry Rin-chan," He said looking down as he walked out of the classroom with the other group member. She noticed her looking back with an evil smirk on her face as she left with a satisfied smile.

"Kakeru-kun..."

"That witch! She is the lowliest of demons!" Ameri snapped, getting up from her seat, "How dare she interfere their conversation and love life!"

"W-Wait! I promise you things will get better" Iruma said with a calm face. She willingly sat back down with a pouted face and awaited for what's in store. "Kakeru-kun... you're always so busy... when will we spend time together like we used too before?"

After class was over, Rin couldn't stay any longer. She bolted out and noticed all the posters promoting Valentine's day events and occasionally heard whispers amongst the crowd. All of it was ringing in her ears, as she pondered over these negative thoughts "What if Kakeru-kun doesn't choose me? Does he care for my feelings at all?! Maybe he doesn't after all -" Suddenly a hand grabbed her to the side and she was ecstatic to see who it was. "Kakeru-" He put his index finger over his lip as he swerved her over to the corner of the wall. She tried to talk but he shushed her back as he pointed to the other student council members trying to look for him.

Once they left, he sighed a breath and looked at her with a smile. She smiled as well and realized, this is her chance, she tried to get her lunch box but he beat her to the clock. "My mother also packed too much for me. Want to share it with me underneath a tree?" He asked nervously but all she heard was nothing but his voice. She couldn't believe it, he chose her!

She smiled giddily, "Yes!" and so did he.

Ameri couldn't hold in her excitement anymore. All her joy at once exploded like a volcano, so much so she had to cover her mouth. "That was so adorable! The way he showed his compassion to her!" If she said anymore she might burst. So this is the power of a human charm all at once? It is too powerful but also vicious.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it" Iruma laughed.

"I-Iruma... I think I understand the true meaning of Valentine's Day now."

"Oh really?"

"Yes" she cleared her throat, "its about showing compassion to one another but also... ITS A BATTLE TO THE DEATH!"

"EH?! Wait a minute!"

"I understand now. If you want to win ones affection you must be the dominant one and claim it for yourself. If you don't then somebody will snatch him first and you will regret for the rest of your life."

"That's not what it's about at all!" Iruma spat out.

"Really?" Ameri blinked dumbfounded, "but if you don't assert your dominance then the guy will never deem you worthy."

"I don't think you need to assert dominance to anybody but yourself." Iruma grasped her hands softly and held it like a paw of an injured animal or human. "To be frank, I'm amazed at you already just the way you are." He twirled his thumb around her palm and looked down with a serious face, "If only people can see themselves for what they truly are. Within every person I meet I see confidence only they can do and it makes me a little jealous." He chuckled and looked up at her as his face softened, "but with you... I see a burning flame that's radiating in confidence and I'm sure others look up to you a lot because it's what makes you... you." With those words she saw the purest smile she has ever seen, "Right, Amelie-San?"

Her heart was pounding so much it could escape and run around all over the netherworld.  Her mind was racing with countless thoughts. Her lips were quivering to find the right words. She wanted to respond, but at the same time she wants to save this moment in her memory. Instead of a word, a shallow breath escaped her lips and a steaming head about to burn.

Iruma was about to ask what was wrong until he looked at their hands. He blinked and immediately jumped away in a panic, "A-A-Amelie-San! I'm so sorry! I got carried away and I-"

A small laugh escaped her lips. Not a maniacal laugh, but a laugh that was from pure joy. "Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh." She said, wiping a tear out of her eye, "Its just you've grown so much ever since I met you. And I'm supposed to be your upper class men." She let out another small laugh, then a smirk once she straightened herself, "Iruma, you amaze me everyday."  They both stood there, silently smiling to themselves. A little too long than normal.

Suddenly, her hell-phone went off, breaking the silence. She picked it up and noticed a reminder bulging in bold letters.

Go to the girls gathering tonight.

Her eyes widened in shock. Her thoughts were so entrance by the story and Iruma's words she completely forgot about the gathering. "S-Sorry but I-"

Iruma waved his hand with a smile while putting the forbidden text on the desk, "It's alright. We will continue on tomorrow as usual."

"But what about-"

"I will clean it up you go on ahead."

She understands that he is very pure hearted with the right intentions but he is always put into danger out of his own freewill. The least she can do is help, "Nonsense, even I can spare a few minutes before I go." She said as she picked up the tea tray. Besides, at least she can spend more time with Iruma before she leaves.

Once they finished cleaning up, they packed up their things out of the office and headed out the  door. She locked the door behind before saying, "have a safe trip back home, okay?"

"I will." He nodded, " and you have a great time  with the girls gathering tonight."

She let out a smirk and a small blush escaped her cheeks. "Thank you. Bye then" she waved goodbye and walked down the hallway with her face still heated. Who knew he would grow into such a responsible student at such an early age. He even wished her goodbye for tonight's gathering... wait a minute!

She dashed back to Iruma and said, "how did you know where I'm going tonight?! I never told you!"

Iruma still in a tiny panic said his explanation, "I heard it from Clara. She was so excited and wouldn't stop talking about it."

Ameri then started to imagine Clara rolling around him and Asmodeus would scold her about her behavior. "Yeah, that makes sense"

It was starting to get late and they both parted ways. While Ameri was left to her own thoughts about the day she had, Iruma was currently being cradled by Sullivan's hugs and tears out of worry. And of course, Opera scolding the both of them.

Next time: The Girls Gathering! What will they talk about? Recent gossip around the school? Latest fashion trends? Or perhaps... love?
