Chapter VI
It dawned on me,
To take your figurative ashes
and cast them into a barren field,
to see if they could maybe help something new grow
Something sweet,
Something green,
Something wholesome,
for whoever that new girl was that you paired up with
I don't hate her
Okay
I do
For all our hours spent alone together
that you had already forgotten
the small truths,
the false accusations,
and
the everlasting traces of happiness
That I held onto
and
you had long forgotten.
