2. Recollections Snorkeling

I pushed as hard as it could take
and kept insisting until break.
But there was no springtime
in sight.

It was too cold to go outside
the whole idea just set aside.
But to the sea
I stayed attracted.

The next best thing would do, I thought
though yes it was, a damn wild shot.
But I had kept the words
she sent me.

I dove deep into the past
knowing all-well, it wouldn't last.
But her sweet gesture
wouldn't leave me.

And sure enough, I found the picture
the steps completed of the scripture.
Her smile, her posture
and her composure.

And there were more, not just one
my own-self I had outdone.
Her hair, her shape
and her mood.

And there was nothing else to do
all thoughts appeased by just the view
Her inner self, her soft emotions
a true depiction, like before.
