The Taboo: Followed by 'A'

Previously on "The Taboo"

Everyone has its secrets, and now my secret will be known to all.

I'm Gel Franches, 15 years old. I have a bit of a very perfect family, but I'm not as perfect as what you think I am.

I just entered Junior high and I'm not that really excited about school. We have this new adviser named Miss Joe and she's not quite the teacher you'd wish for. The new school year seemed sloopy and I'm starting to recall my ex-boyfriend Paul. He's the guy you'll ever want but I've taken him for granted, and now I regret everything...

The Taboo: Followed by 'A'

Paul is chubby but his skin is fair, he likes surfing the net and he loves me of course. There was a day when an unknown chatmate of mine in Yahoo Messanger asked me if I have a boyfriend. He's been harassing me and I couldn't tell him because, he'll find a way to meet me. Wait! Did I use the correct word? Let me look it up real quick.

Oh yes I did, according to Merriam Webster harras means to worry or annoy.

Make him my boyfriend? Yuck no way! He's the kind of guy you'll dread to see in your whole lifetime. He's older than me, he wears shades in his profile picture, but I can see every detail of his face, #Ugly. He's the guy without a dream, you know like men who doesn't have a work and just chillin, he's not even clean.

So the thing is, he keeps bothering me, and telling me the ILY words. Hahaha Gocha! I'm just over-reacting. I got irritated and I wanted to get rid of him, but I don't know how. Then an idea struct me.

I searched Paul in my chatbox. Luckily, he's online. I clicked his user name and then a chatbox opened.

"Hi!" I greeted him "What brings you here?" he replied. "Can I ask you a favor?" please say yes, please say yes.

"Sure, what can I do for you?" he asked. "Please get rid of this guy for me." I gave him the you know who guy contact information, and he became Paul's chatmate.

"What will I do with him?" he asked. Without another word, I told him. "Please tell him you're my boyfriend."

Gel, Gel, is this really the right thing to do?! Paul didn't hesitate, he didn't complain. He freely did what I told him.

In the end do you know what happened? Well, the you know who guy stopped vexing me, and I was glad of the result.

But it didn't end there, Paul suddenly asked me something, something which made me think thoroughly. "So what are we going to do now? Are we going to make this official?" Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! what will I do? "Up to you" I replied. OMG I'm gonna cry, I'm gonna cry! Just kidding. "It's settled then. You're my girlfriend."

"Yohoo? Gel? It's your turn now" WHAT?! Was I daydreaming again? That was Emma, she sat next to me and she just finished introducing herself.

Now is my turn, I stood and fix myself. I took a deep breath and with a loud voice, I said: "Bonjour! Hi! Je m'apple Gel Franches. Enchante! I'm Gel Franches. Nice to meet you!"

They all looked stunned. Well, that was because they were not used with this other side of me. Yes I am speaking french because I was inspired by the movie I watched last summer, it's called Wild Child.

You know, the one with the leading lady Emma Roberts? Anyway, so there I was speaking half english, half french.

When I almost finished my speech, I said my last words "Je t'aime and I Love You." and then they all applauded.

From that day onwards, all my classmates call me 'Bonjour'. It's nothing, cause I love hearing it from them. It feels like I'm in paris when I hear them bully me that word.

Let me tell you one thing. I love my teachers, well because my father is a teacher, and I idolize my father for being so brave, standing in front of children. Teaching them what you have learned and telling them your stories.

The next day was friday, and every friday afternoon, we have this Youth Movement activity by which the students will have different organizations to join.

My group Combo, was one of the best. It was an organization which students can freely express their capability to play with musical instruments.

I played the piano, but our school doesn't have one so I picked keyboard. Before the activity started, my eyes got suddenly focused to a man. Not just a man, but a teacher.

Is he new here? I asked myself. What does he teach? I would love to know something about him.

I asked my friends about him and they told me he is a new teacher in our school. He teaches computer and he is  26 years old. He's a tall man and often goes working out to stay fit. Well, quite a fine man I thought to myself.

I don't know why he made a big impact to me. Yes, he's tall, handsome, fair, and he has that very nice smile but he's a teacher... He's a teacher.
