And there I was, standing in front of Rätsels' house trying to find the courage to knock her door.

The last letter I recieved from her was two weeks ago, so I had no idea how she was doing. I was feeling nervous because I didn't know if she was still fealing the same way after all these years. Being in a long distant relationship was not such an easy thing to do. But now that we were going to meet each other face to face, I was not sure if she was going to feel the same way. To say the truth, I don't even know if I was going to feel the same as before. Nevertheless, I couldn't back down now.

After waiting for so long, I had to make a move. So, I walked towards the front door and asked the maid if I could speak to Rätsel. She made me wait in the living room and offered me some tea while I was waiting for her to come home from her daily chores.

When she entered the room, I felt all those happy memories we had together overwhelm me. Seeing her smile, which was brighter than the light of the morning sun, brought joy inside me. In addition, she was looking exactly the same as the day of my departure from Alptraum. Not even a day had passed from her. Her long snowy coloured hair and pure white skin reminded me of the days we used to go to the mountains during the winter months and play in the snow covered terrain.

The moment we looked each other in the eyes, a bright smile took over her face. The groceries she was holding in her arms, fell to the ground as she headed towards me to give me a hug warmer than the ones mothers' give to their children. While hugging me, she burst into tears of joy. Afterwards, she leaned closer to my face and whispered to my ear.

"I missed you so much. I can't believe you finally came back."

"I told you that I was not going to leave you.", I replied.

I was filled with hapiness once more. At that moment, I could only continue with a "sigh" of joy. I could only think of one thing at the moment. So, I stared her in the eyes and I acted following my heart, without thinking. I came closer to her and gave her a kiss that was long delayed.
