Todoroki's POV
There were 10 seconds on the clock of the Calvary battle and I had the 1,000,000 points on my neck with Bakugou reaching out to me.

I can't let myself be distracted right now by using my left side while facing Kigarashi.

I had my ice defense ready to block him with five seconds left.

"Success" an emotionless voice said.

"What?"

And like that I lost the 1,000,000 points.

"Awww man! Fourth place!" Kaminari whined kicking the ground.

"We should be grateful that we even reached the next round! This is an opportunity we should not be whining about!" Iida said.

"I still wonder how Kigarashi got the 1,000,000 points....." Yaoyorozu said as Kigarashi's team got first place.

Izuku's POV
"THANK YOU KIGARASHI!" Uraraka cheered hugging me.

"Our success was achieved thanks to your hard work" Tokoyami said. "Me and Dark Shadow give our thanks for that."

"I totally got to show off my totally cute babies! Thanks First Place!" Pink haired octopus girl Hitsune I think? Said.

"No problem" I said dully. "Also" I looked over at Hitsune. "I forgot your name"

"Eh!?!" Uraraka said dropping to the ground in a weird way.

"Not important! Just remember me and my babies First Place! You better win the one on one matches so you can show off my totally cute babies!"

"......sure" I said blandly.

"Gotta go make babies now! Bye!" She said before running off.

"I'm gonna go have lunch" Tokoyami said taking his leave.

"Wanna eat with me and Iida, Kigarashi?" Uraraka asked.

Meet up with me on the stands, Izuku. I'll bring you food and I'm coming over with Yua.

"Sorry can't" I answered.

"Oh" she said in a disappointed tone. "Well it's fine! I'm sure whatever you have to do is important! See you later Kigarashi!"

She ran off without another word.

She's lucky she isn't nosy in y- our business. If she had pressed for details I would have personally made sure she doesn't see you again. She could've endangered you.

Of course oneechan.

"Kigarashi"

I turned around to see Todoroki there.

"I need to talk to you"

Izuku, ignore him I don't want you associating with the number two hero's breed.

I at least wanna hear him our Oneechan.

Fine

"Sure" I answered my voice regaining its life. "Where do you wanna talk? Is here good or in pri-"

"In private" Todoroki answered.

Todoroki's POV
"I'm going to be blunt in asking this" I said to Kigarashi who tilted his head but then nodded.

"Were you trained at a young age?"

"..............."

"There's no other possible way.... he's too experienced."

Quirk apprehension test
"Throw the ball" Aizawa sensei said to Kigarashi.

"........." Kigarashi said nothing as he held the ball and stretched a bit before activating his quirk.

Red lines formed around his arm as vines wrapped around his arm and black tendrils were forming around his arm.

"Woah!?! What's his quirk!?!" Kaminari said.

"Yeah that looks insane!" Ashido said.

BOOM

...................

"When is the ball coming down?" Sero asked.

"That was crazy! He's amazing!" Kaminari said.

"9732 miles" Aizawa sensei said.

USJ Day
"Remain calm! It's unhealthy for you and your friends to panic sir!" Kigarashi said to Iida who was faking being a panicked victim with Uraraka who was faking being unconscious and Tokoyami who had a fake broken leg.

"I THINK URARAKA STOPPED BREATHING!" Iida yelled acting really well. "AHHHHHHHHHHH WERE GONNA DIE"

"Shut the hell up Four eyes!" Bakugou yelled.

"He's acting really accurately to a panicked man" Yaoyrozu commented.

"Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Bakugou I'll go down there and rescue Uraraka then rescue Tokoyami then Iida" Kigarashi said as he created vines around the stretcher and brought it down without much effort.

A chuckle makes its way in.

I look to see Kigarashi was the one who chuckled.

"Is there something funny?" I asked crossing my arms.

"It's just such a random question" he answered. "Why would you possible ask something like that?"

His eyes seemed dull but his expression was amused.

"It's a serious question" I told him a bit annoyed.

"I could tell that" he said. "But haven't you considered that everyone trains at a young age?"

"What?"

"I can tell you're confused" Kigarashi said his voice amused like his expression. "We all gain our quirks at the lovely age of 4 or later if you're a late bloomer. Do you not think we're all trained at a young age? Our mothers and fathers of course would get us trainers to have control of our quirks and to prevent hurting others. So I don't see the point of asking that question, Todoroki-kun."

I was frozen in place for a second hearing this but not because of his words.

His eyes

They seem so.... lifeless.

Like a doll's eyes with a stiff green hue.

His expression was amused so why weren't his eyes following?

"Now since you asked me a question I think it's only fair I asked you a question" Midoriya said.

I nodded. I have to be fair.

"What's your relationship between you and your father? You don't seem to be very happy when you're called Endeavor's son" he asked.

"I was going to explain this anyway"

Silence

Kigarashi's expression suddenly lost its amusement and his smile turned into a frown, his eyes lifeless on the right eye but his left eye seemed normal.

"That's why.... I must beat you" I said. "To price to my old man I don't need his power."
