"No, sorry. This is Sunoo, one of his hyungs. And you are?"

"Ah that makes sense, you don't sound similar with him. I'm Y/N, er, his caller friend. Is he there?"

"Oh, so you're the famous crush of our maknae! Nice to meet you, I've heard a lot about you"

"Oh I see.. Jake is right and Ni-ki is in denial"

"Most of the time but not today"

"What did you do?"

"He'd been panicky since last night. I think because of something you said, so now I'm having to cover for him in our studio"

"I'm so sorry about that!"

"It's alright. I love my job. I mean, Ni-ki will buy me ice cream later!"

"Talk to him for me? Tell him to get out of whatever he was doing and let me see have a glimpse of him in Insight, would that be allowed?"

"Of course"

"I won't keep you for long since you're busy but I'm curious, because you said I'm his crush. Is it really true?"

"He's in denial but I know him better than anyone and what he was doing nowadays reminds me of the time I first met my gf through prank calls"

"You met her in a prank call?"

"Ask Ni-ki. He once dared me to call a number from an ice cream shop and boom.. I have my own happiness now to call"

"Wow.. That's a cute meeting. Do you think it could happen for the two of us as well?"

"As if Ni-ki would let it go to nothing. Actually, he's now asking our leader to distract some staff for him to go in the Insight to see you"

"He's really going to see me? He said he will be busy in his last message..."

"Oh god, Ni-ki's gonna kill me. I promised not to say anything, you weren't supposed to know anything! I've messed up.."

"Hey, Sunoo, it's okay, calm down. What do you mean? What I wasn't supposed to know?"

"Err.. Bye Y/N!"

"Kim Sunoo!"

[ beeps ]

"He's as frustrating as their maknae.. but oh, I need for Alex to know I win over his idol's affection"

"Nice job, hyung.. Nice job with your mouth", Ni-ki murmured, seconds after Sunoo hung up on the call with the girl.

A breeze picked up in his heart, sending his emotions into a tornado of confusion. Even though he wasn't mean to ask his hyung to lie he wasn't there, since he wanted to see what she will say to Sunoo, he was disappointed that it'll not be surprise anymore.

To surprise her with his appearance on the Insight.

All because some sunshine can't stop his mouth from tripping over his words.

Even with this weight on his heart, Ni-ki grinned at what he imagined Y/N was doing once she ended the call. Was she now bragging to her brother about what she'd heard?

Are they fighting now again?

He then realised he was gripping his phone tightly that Sunoo probably noticed who loosens his hold on it.

With the girl on his mind, he dropped down to the couch of their room's lounge. He brushed a hair from his face as he stared at his phone.

Naturally, his mind jumped from panic to Y/N who occupied most of his thoughts since she screamed on how he doesn't sound like her mother in their first call.

If there was an award for being whipped and trying to deny it even if it was obvious, Ni-ki would win the grand trophy over the everyone.

However, there was a certain danger with the fact that he's an Idol and he had never met her. For all he knew, Y/N could not be a girl or just some boy out there trolling someone for their own entertainment.

A smirk tugged at his lips about how Y/N would react if he compared her to the balding neighbor she was complaining about. His grin grew with the thought, crinkling the corner of his eyes as a laugh burst out of his throat as Jake and Heeseung walked by who did a double take at the sight of their maknae smiling to himself.

"What's with that look?", Ni-ki asked innocently.

Heeseung cleared his throat, "Uh, what's up with your mood?"

"Nothing, I'm just happy is all", Ni-ki replied with a snicker, earning a look from both of his hyungs.

"You look like you're in love to a certain someone we know. I'd be stupid to think it's something else", Jake said smoothly.

That was Jake never missing a beat to point out what it really feels like to be inlove to Ni-ki who didn't know, who felt it for the first time.

In all honesty, both he and Sunoo had met their own girlfriend from a wrong number to a prank call and it was hard to imagine, but anyone can let their imagination run wild.

"Shouldn't you be going now? Our source from the entrance said there's already a family entering Insight with a little boy running ahead to the section of Enhypen"

Jake called out while Heeseung roared in laughter as soon as Ni-ki was already on his way out of the door, as if he was on a marathon and really doing a good job of the presentation, based on his words, he wasn't in love.

But what is he doing?

Running now on the way to see the girl he'd been wanting to meet.
