Children of the Damned

Flashback

Mystic Falls 1864

"Allison your magic is becoming strong. I can tell you've been practicing." Emily told her. "It's all because of you. I wouldn't have control go my powers if it weren't for you." Allison said. "You'll be a very powerful witch one day. Might even train one of the witches from my family." Emily told Allison as she brushed her hair. "I'll protect them I promise," Allison said. "I know you will," Emily said.

Flashback over

"God can you turn your ringer off," Allison said as she snuggled into Jeremy's chest. "Sorry," Jeremy told her as he grabbed his phone to check who was messaging him. "It's Anna." Jeremy groaned. "Just ignore her." Allison as she started falling back to sleep when someone burst into the room.

"Wake wake eggs and Bakey," Jenna said as she walked into the room. "Oh, Allison sorry I didn't know you were here. There's breakfast and by the way, Stefan is downstairs." Jenna told her. "Yeah, it's my fault sorry Jenna I forgot to ask," Jeremy said. "It's alright but next time she stays in the guest room," Jenna said before leaving the room. "Wow, Jenna's kind of scary," Allison said. "Yeah tell me about it," Jeremy said before entering the bathroom to change.

Allison left Jeremy to finish getting ready while she went downstairs to meet Stefan and Elena who were currently looking through old journals. "What are you guys doing?" Jeremy asked as he walked into the kitchen. "Hey just um going through some stuff, feeling sentimental. Dad had this old family journal from years ago. I thought I'd dig it up." Elena told him. "Johnathan Gilbert's journal?" Jeremy asked. "Yeah, what do you know about it?" Elena asked. "I just did a history report on it," Jeremy told her. "Oh, so where is it now?" Elena asked. "I gave it to Mr. Saltzman. He wanted to see it." Jeremy said. Stefan and Allison looked at each other with a knowing look.

"I'll take that," Allison said as she caught the stake Alaric shot at her. Alaric turns and goes to shoot another one at her when she speeds up to him. 'You shouldn't have done that." Allison says as she grabs the gun and pushes him back against the desks. "Have a seat," Stefan says as he walks into the room. "What is this compressed air? Did you make it yourself? I have a bow and arrow. Carve the arrows myself." Allison said as she examined the gun.

"We're not gonna hurt you," Stefan told him and Allison handed back the gun. "Now who are you?" Stefan asked. "I'm a teacher." Mr. Saltzman said. "We're gonna do this the hard way?" Allison asked. "I'm also a historian and while researching Virginia I made a few discoveries about your town," Alaric said.

"So you show up like Van-helsing? Come on tell me the truth." Stefan says. "My wife was a parapsychologist she spent her life researching paranormal activity in this area. It was her work that led me here." Alaric told him. "Where's your wife?" Allison asked. "Dead. A vampire killed her." Alaric told her.

"Where's the Gilbert journal?" Stefan asked. "What do you want with it?" Alaric asked. "Where is it?" Allison asked. "It's on my desk," Alaric told her. "No, it's not," Stefan said. Alaric turned his head to look at his desk and sure enough, it wasn't there anymore. "It was on my desk," Alaric said. "Son of a bitch." Allison said. "How long have you known about us?" Allison asked him. "You two I learned just recently. What about your brother?" Alaric asked. "You met Damon," Stefan said. "Who do you think killed my wife?" Alaric said. "Are you certain it was Damon?" Allison asked. "I witnessed it," he told her. "If you're here for revenge this is gonna end very badly for you," Stefan told him.

"I just want to know what happened to my wife," Alaric said. "I thought you just said that Damon-," "Yeah. I saw him draining the life out of her. He must've heard me coming. He just disappeared. He just disappeared. So did her body. They never found her." Alaric said. "Damon can never know why you're here. He'll kill you without blinking." Stefan said. "I can take care of myself," Alaric said. "No, you can't. We can help you. If you let us." Stefan said.

"Wow, this is a weird sight," Allison said as she walked into the house and found Jeremy and Damon playing video games together. "Ha ha where have you been and where's Stefan?" Damon asked her. "I was talking to Saltzman about the upcoming assignment and he should be on his way," Allison told him hoping he'd get the hint and then she took a seat next to Jeremy.

Jeremy's phone rang and he checked to see who it was then threw his phone to the other side of the couch. "Who are you dodging?" Damon asked. "This girl, Anna. She can be persistent." Jeremy told him. "And annoying." Allison chimed in. "Oh little sister someone sounds jealous. Is she hot?" Damon asked.  "Yeah, yeah, but she can be weird," Jeremy said. "Hot trumps weird. Trust me." Damon said and Allison rolled her eyes at his response. "He's ridiculously hot!" Allison heard Jenna say. "Shh! He's an ass." She then heard Elena say and she laughed. The doorbell then rang and Damon was quick to get up and open the door. "Hey!" Jeremy said. "I'll play. Get ready to lose." Allison said taking the controller. "Bring it on," Jeremy told her.

"So I heard you found a really cool journal from back in the day. Who else do you show it to?" Damon asked as he, Elena, and Stefan walked back into the house. "Huh?" Jeremy asked focused on the game. "Don't ask questions just spill," Damon said. "You're kidding me right?" Jeremy asked. "Jer, did you tell anyone other than Mr.Saltzman about Johnathan Gilbert's journal?" Elena asked him.

"Why is everybody so obsessed with that thing?" Jeremy asked. "Who else did you tell?" Elena asked again. "Just that girl Anna," Jeremy said. "The hot weird one?" Damon asked. "Yeah," Jeremy responded.  "Wait who's Anna?" Stefan asked. "That's what I wanna find out," Damon said. "How do you know her," Damon asked. "I told you. But like always you assholes don't listen to me." Allison whispered to Stefan as she got up.

"I just know her. She wants me to meet her at the grill tonight."Jeremy told Damon.  "Perfect I'll drive. Come on." Damon said. "Okay," Jeremy said as Damon dragged him. "I'm coming too," Allison said. "Ooh, you should really get better at hiding your jealousy sister," Damon told her. "I'm not jealous I just don't trust her," Allison said.

While Jeremy and Anna played pool, Allison and Damon sat at the bar. "What? What's that look on your face?" Allison asked as Damon had a puzzled look. "You don't remember her. She was Katherine's friend, Pearl's daughter." Damon told her. "I knew I recognized her I just couldn't pinpoint it," Allison said.

Allison dropped Jeremy off while Damon went to deal with Anna.  She went up to Elena's room. "I know where the Grimore is," Stefan told her as she walked in. "Where is it?" Allison asked. "Father's grave," Stefan told her.

"Why isn't your father buried in your family's tomb?" Elena asked. "It wasn't built until well after he died," Allison told her.  "Are you sure the grimoire's in there with him?" Elena asked.  "As sure as I could be," Stefan told her. "Great," Elena said. "Elena we can do this," Stefan told her. "And I said I would do whatever I can do to help. I know and I appreciate that but-"  "this town is my home, Stefan.  My friends and family are here. You're here. I don't want that tomb opened any more than you do." Elena said interrupting him. Stefan gave Elena and Allison a shovel and they started digging.

Stefan finally hit something and Allison pulled it open. "Is that it?" Elena asked. "Yup," Allison told her as she grabbed the Grimoire and closed the coffin. "Well, what do you know? This is an interesting turn of events." Allison heard Damon say. "I can't let you bring her back. I'm sorry." Stefan says. "So am I for thinking for even a second that I could trust you," Damon told him. "You are not capable of trust the fact that you're here means that you read the journal and we're planning on doing this yourself," Stefan said.

"Of course, I was gonna do it by myself because the only one I can count on is me besides I'm not completely alone, Allison here has been helping all along. You made sure that we wouldn't be able to count on you many years ago Stefan. But you, you had me fooled." Damon says looking at Elena. "So what are you gonna do now? because if you try and destroy that I'll rip her heart out." Damon said. "You won't kill her," Stefan says and Damon gives him a look and then runs at Elena. "I can do one better," Damon says as he bites his wrist and feeds Elena his blood.

Stefan takes the Grimoire from Allison and holds it over the fire. "Give me the book Stefan or I'm snapping her neck and you and I will have a vampire girlfriend," Damon said. "Let her go first," Stefan said. "The book," Damon told him. "I'm not gonna give this to you until she is standing next to me," Stefan said. "The problem is I no longer trust that you'll give it back," Damon said. "Just let her go Damon hurting people wasn't a part of our deal," Allison told him. "You just did the one thing that ensures that I will." Stefan also tells him.

Stefan puts the Grimoire down and Damon eventually lets go of Elena. "If you ever pull a stunt like that again I'll rip your heart out," Allison says as she takes the book and goes home.

Flashback to 1864

"Allison I need your help with a spell," Emily said as she walked into her room. "They took her didn't they?" Allison asked crying. "Yes, but it's going to be okay. You'll see her again but I need your help. I know how to protect them okay? Now give me your hand." Emily instructed and grasped the younger Salvatore's hand and started murmuring the spell. Allison copied her words.
