Smoke everywhere as I gripped Armin's hand as he continued to tear up while we were inside a rib that Eren had made.

I took out my blades incase of peopattacking Eren as the smoke cleared out revealing the crowd of garrisons that had once again had a more  scared and suprised face.

Above us was the head moving that I'm guessing it's Eren controlling it.

The Garrisons freaked out on what to do as Kitz ordered another wave of cannons.

"What is this?" Eren spoke up as he emerged from the nape.

"I remember up to the cannon fire. Armin spoke who was still shaking from the event."Then there was a tremendous crash, impact and heat. We're in a titan's skeleton right-"

"Eren protected us." Mikasa answered who was beside us "that's all that matters."

"Hey!" Eren's voice spoke as he went up to us despite of the thick smoke. "You guys okay?"

My eyes diverted to the bone beside Eren as it disintegrated.

"Eren, what is this?" Armin asked.

"No idea. But it's evaporating already just like a titan's corpse." He said as the bones were disappearing. "Lets back away a bit. Wether they're figuring out what to do or just distracted, the Garrison can't see what we're doing but in the end, they'll probably continue attacking."

We stood up and went farther away from the Eren's titan corpse.

"I don't have the confidence to talk them down after showing them. It reminded me of something though" Eren said as my eyes widened when he showed the key that dad gave him before the fall of wall Maria. " The basement. The basement of my house. Dad said I'd understand everything if I went there."

Eren's eyes diverted to me as he continued to talk.

"We'll know what secrets will be showed. He's also the one that turned me into this. If we get to that basement, I'll probably learn the truth about the titans. He also said that the memories Y/N lost before she was 9 years old will be found in the basement."

My eyes widened at the news. I placed my palm on my forehead as I realized it.

'Why? Why can't I remember anything from before I was 9. Not even the memory of myself before that. What are those memories? Is it that important for me to know?'

"Why did he kept it all a secret?! The survey corps searched for that information at the cost of thousands of lives! It's mankind's only hope!" Eren began to lean on the evaporating bones of his own titan and began to question everything that happened. "And you're telling me it was locked away in my basement?!"

"Technically, it's dad's basement" I added as he ignored what I said.

"Just what's going through his mind?" Eren asked.

'All that was going through his mind is more than what we know.'

"Come to think of it. Where is he?" I asked them.

"Y/N, Eren, we have other things to worry about now" Mikasa spoke as we began to ran thanks to the thick smoke that was covering us.

Eren's titan's head fell from where we were a while ago as the thick smoke increased.

"I'm..... leaving this place." Eren spoke as our eyes widened.

"Where to? How?" Armin asked.

"Anywhere will do for now" Eren answered. "I'll climb the wall from there and head to the basement but I'll turn into a titan first"

"Eren, are you crazy? You don't even know what will happen next or maybe worst you could get killed?!" I exclaimed.

"You can do that?" Armin asked once more worrying for his friend.

"I'm not too sure how to do it myself, but I think I can. Just like how a person can't explain how they move their arms. Earlier I unconsciously focused on blocking the cannon. That's why the body." Eren answered. "This time.... I'll go for something stronger. The 15 meter class that I kicked around all those titans with should suffice!"

"Brat, you're nose is bleeding" I spoke as blood fell down Eren's nose. He wiped it out.

'Eren's not in a good condition.'

"You're looking pale and your breathing's is heavy too. Its clearly taking toll of your body." Armin replied as I began to worry for His health.

"I couldn't care less about my well being." Eren said and wiped his nose once more while I gave him a 'are you crazy?' look. "I've got two ideas in mind. If you guys don't try to cover me, you'll be spared at least. I've already got you three in a real mess so I'll be moving solo from here and out."

'This kid is crazy. Going to wall Maria by himself while he can't even control his so called titan powers!'

"Eren, I-" Armin was about to speak but got cut off by Mikasa.

"Eren, I coming too" She said as Eren disapproved this immediately.

"Eren, Are you looking for suicide?" I spoke as he still ignored me with his hard headed nature.

"If you can't keep up, you can just abandon me" Mikasa spoke as it made me suprised. "But I don't have to listen to what you say."

"I'm telling you to cut it out already" Eren replied.

"Eren, I promised mom that I'll protect. We won't leave you to commit suicide" I spoke up.

"I'm neither your little brother...." Eren paused then looked from Mikasa to me. "Nor a little kid!"

"Eren, i-"

"I said I have two ideas in mind didn't I?" Eren said to Mikasa as he looked at Armin.

"Armin, I'll leave everything for you to decide." Eren said as Armin was suprised and looked at Eren in disbelief. "I'm well aware of just how unrealistic my plan is. It would be most effective to use this titan power systematically under the army's command. I know it's a lot to ask, but if you think you can convince the Garrisons that I'm not a threat, I'll put my trust in you and stay. That's my second idea."

"What about Y/N? She's far more good and convincing at saying with her words than anyone else among us" Armin protested as I raised my eyebrow.

"She'll be far away than good at her mannerism in speaking" Mikasa added.

'Well she has a point, I would end up cursing at the Garrisons instead of pleading them that Eren is innocent'

"If you think you can't, I'll have to resort to the 1st idea" Eren said as I heard the spinning wheel of the cannons moving thanks to my talented ears.

'Its all in Armin's decision wether or not Eren can stay.'

" You have 15 seconds to decide. Wether you can do it or not, I'll respect any opinion you have"

"Eren, why would you entrust me with such a decision?" Armin asked.

"The worse a situation is, the better your decisions are, you know? I'm willing to bet on that." Eren said with a smile. I matched the same smile as him from what he said.

'You really are my brother, Eren' I thought and gave a small chuckle.

"When did I ever..." Armin asked unsurely.

"A lot of times" I stated the obvious.

"Five years ago, If you didn't call Hannes-san, then Y/N, I and Mikasa would've been devoured by a titan." Eren added.

The half of Eren's titan rib fell just behind Armin as it created more smoke. Armin looked like he realized that he wasn't as weak as he think.

"Armin, we're out of time" Eren said

Armin stood up and ran to the direction of the Garrisons.

'We always believed in you, Armin. So believe in yourself.'

I hear a metal fell on the ground concluding to my head that Armin took off his gear.

"So you've finally reveal you true colours, monster! I'll signal.... I'll signal the cannons" I can hear Kitz shouting from where we are.

"He's not the enemy of mankind! We're willing to share any and all information that we have!" Armin replied.

"I have no intention on hearing your pleas! We've seen everything we need to know. There's no room for more discussion! If you claim, he's not our enemy then prove it! If you can't, we'll simply eliminate the threat!"

"There's no need for proof! Besides, how we see him is not an issue!"

"W-what?!"

"I've heard many have seen him in action! If that's true, they've also must seen him fighting the titans and that includes the sight of the surrounding titans swarming him! In other words, the titans saw him as a target of predation, just like the rest of mankind! No matter how we go about it, the fact cannot be denied!"

'Armin grew up so fast' I smirked as I heard people realizing that Eren was an ally.

"Prepare to attack! Don't be fooled by his clever tricks!" Kitz shouted sounding irritated as my smirk went down to a frown. "Their actions are always beyond of our comprehension! It must be possible for them to imitate our form and speech to delude us! We cannot allow them to do as they please any longer!"

The sound of blades readying were made as I think idea 2 failed.

'When we get out of this situation, I'll rip out your nails slowly to make the pain more presentable, Kitz Woermann'

Armin looked back to us as Eren nodded with a smile and I gave him a thumbs up. Armin quickly got determination and did the salute.

"I'm a soldier that has long since offered his life for the revival of mankind! To perish while obeying that conviction would be my life's greatest glory! If we were to utilize his titan powers in addition to our remaining forces, recapturing this town would no longer be impossible! Praying for the glory of mankind, I shall elaborate on his strategic worth with all the time I have left!" Armin shouted as I smiled wholesomely and proudly for him.

"Silence!" Kitz ordered the man who said something to him.

Kitz began to raise him arm to fire as I reached out to my blades until a bald man stopped his arm.

"That's enough. As always, having a large body, you're as feeble as a fawn." The bald man said as I saw that there were more Garrisons behind him that weren't there a while ago.

"Commader Pixis?" I heard Kitz said.

'Dot Pixis, the commander of the Garrison regiment. He was infront of us back in the graduation ceremony'

"I think it'd be best to hear what they have to say" Pixis said as Armin fell down on his knees, panting.

"I see. So you say all the answers lie within that basement?" Pixis asked.

"Yeh." I answered.

"Do you believe me?" Eren asked.

"As you yourself aren't certain, I'd say I can only keep it in mind at best" Pixis said as he rapped his head. "However, I believe myself capable of seeing the truth of things. I shall guarantee your safety."

I sighed in relief.

"Recruit Arlert? Was it?" Pixis asked.

"Sir!" Armin spoke up and did the salute.

"Earlier, you said that if we utilize this 'titan powers', it'd be possible to recapture this town, did you not? Did you truly believe that or was it a vain act of desperation?"

"It was..... both!" Armin answered. "What I was trying to say back then was that Eren could carry the large boulder to seal the destroyed gate in his titan form. Its an idea I came up with on the spot, but I hoped the possibility to break out of this deadlock could be seen in Eren's power"

Commander Pixis turned around and looked at the town once more.

"Of course, it was all a genuine attempt to survive" Armin said as he worried that the commander will disagree.

"A genuine attempt to survive......" Commander Pixis echoed what Armin said. " The most trustworthy words I'll ever hear"

'Sometimes, I wonder what this man thinks of'

Pixis began to drink again in his circular jug. He went back up to us.

"Well, Recruit Yeager" Pixis said as I eyed him for not specifically saying who's who which he took notice.

"Well, Recuit Eren Yeager." Pixis said as he sat as low as Eren is sitting.

"Sir!" Eren spoke up as he faced Pixis while sitting.

"Can you seal that gate?"

"I.... Well...." Eren looked unsure if could do it or not. "I don't know. I'm just as clueless as the rest of us present here. So regardless wether I can do it or not, I can't answer half heartedly"

"Oh that's true, I apologize" Pixis said "that was the wrong question.  Will you do it or not - Which is it?"

'I like how this man is thinking' I said as I gave a determined grin as I looked at the peaceful land behind Trost seeing that Commander Pixis was looking at it.

"I'll do it" I heard Eren speak as I look back at the chaotic Trost District. "I'll do it! I'm not sure wether i can do it or not, but I'll do it!"

"This a probably a step to the secret and memories we'll look forward to. The secret that will reveal a lot of things to us, mankind" I whispered under my breathe. The wind picked up as it blew away my hair a bit.
